  1. *Cough*, there was a game at home on Tuesday so that was twice in a week...........
  2. I have absolutely no idea what that means. My views on the booing/chanting on Tuesday night are clear from my posts on this board. My views on the need for reconciliation between the club and the fans are also clear. I am looking forward to another home win today and a truce breaking out. I was merely stating my opinion that Wagner is reaping what Webber sowed, not helped by Delia's ill informed comments at the AGM. I was merely stating my opinion.........
  3. Some would say so but boringly it was the Tas.............
  4. I have never really understood the criticism of elite sports stars taking drugs.Lance Armstrong got dogs abuse for winning the Tour de France whilst taking drugs, that achievement should not be underestimated, I got out of my face on cannabis once and ended up riding my bike into the river........
  5. Webber has a lot to answer for with his attitude towards the fans, he is gone but his legacy remains. It is good he has toned his words down but stuck to this underlying message of getting behind the team. Hopefully another home win is incoming tomorrow and the supporters get behind the team.........
  6. You kind of missed the point here. Cambridge was stirring the pot, I was just posing a question, my position on the booing is very clear..........
  7. Trains can get into KX via Cambridge, no need to go via Peterborough..........
  8. Was it taking off an injured player that was being booed or was it replacing a forward with a midfielder that was being booed?.................
  9. Just for balance purposes only, amongst the people I sit with and talk to the subject of the clubs relations with fans does come up. Not so much aimed at Wagner but more the spat with Webber and the Delia comments, one person I spoke to has even picked up on Knapper using the term "noise" in his recent interview. The comments made by Wagner in his post Watford match interview comes across as a continuation of the Delia 20% comment with people I have spoken to. For any truce to work there needs to be reconciliation on all sides, I am not naive enough to think it will happen. Personally I forgive my fellow fans for the chanting and the booing and I forgive David Wagner for his ill advised post match comments as I recognise both come from an emotional place and happened in the heat of battle. I genuinely wish for the day we do not have schisms within our support (happy clapper/pant wetter, 80%/20% etc) and our debates are undertaken as fellow fans who have a different points of view and our debates are undertaken from the point of view of a reasoned debate and acceptance that minds will not necessarily be changed (I will not hold my breath).............
  10. I would not disagree with your analysis either and I and the people I sit with did not boo (or join in wit the chant) but within the circle of supporters I speak to both at the ground and out and about after games I encounter a perception of Wagner as being a negative head coach, I am not saying that perception is right or wrong but that perception clearly shapes some of the crowds reactions............
  11. The unfortunate thing is that whilst the booing is clearly aimed at Wagner and not the players, the players are caught in the crossfire so to speak. The booing of the subs was not particularly widespread near where I sat as most of us could see Sarge was struggling and we knew Onel had hurt himself in his tangle with Jamal Lewis. Putting aside the reasons for the substitutions I think what upset some people was the defensive appearance of the substitution in a game we were bossing. After the substitutions were made we conceded meaning we had gone from 2-0 up to all square at 2-2, which triggered the very loud and widespread "You don't know what you are doing" chant". It needs to be borne in mind that at 2-0 up we appeared to take our foot of the gas rather than putting the game beyond all doubt, and the habit of messing about with the ball at the back bit us on the bum (again). None of this is meant to condone the booing which was (as it turned out) daft, the chant I can kind of get as it was borne out of frustration from losing a 2-0 lead in a game we were bossing. In hindsight the chant was equally daft. All of the above is about trying to put some context into what was a very strange and emotive night at Carrow Road. In the words of the Sex Pistols "No one is innocent" and I really hope we win again against Cardiff on Saturday and that a truce breaks out.........
  12. I am not condoning the booing but it is easy to criticise from the comfort of the armchair. We were 2-0 up and cruising and threw away a two nil lead. Not everybody could see that Sarge and Onel were struggling A centre forward was replaced with a midfielder, suggesting a defensive rather than offensive approach from the head coach People got upset, quite a lot of people and they booed, wrongly as it turned out. You had to be there to experience what a strange night it was...............
  13. That is your opinion and I respect you for it...........
  14. Lets be honest here, stars players will be sold if a decent offer is received, regardless of what is or is not happening on the terraces/whether or not we are in the play offs. I personally thought those that booed and/or chanted ended up looking daft. I get that Wagner was interviewed shortly after the game and emotions were running high, but what is done is done now and it was ill advised We have now had three attacks on paying supporters by members of the club, that has also got to stop. We all have to hope our fine form continues................
  15. Because he should not be making the same mistake as Delia and attacking the fans, any fans (the volume of the chant "You Don't Know What Your Are Doing" was not a minority.). Listening to Canary Call on the way home Dean Ashton was of the opinion that what Wagner said was a dangerous thing to do and I agree with him.........
  16. First of all I did not boo. Second, I did not chant "You don't know what you are doing" Thirdly, I and others around me could see Sarge and Onel were struggling (Onel hurt himself after tangling with Lewis). Personally I did not get why SVD was not a straight swap with Sarge. Wagner is an idiot for leaping on the Delia minority train and having a go at supporters. The fissure between the club and the fans is a Webber legacy..................
  17. I was disappointed that we dropped two points and it did surprise me that Sarge was replaced by Nunez. That all said a draw away from home to a side that are on a decent run at the moment was a good result. I am one of the 20% of whingers but I have nothing to whinge about yesterday..............
  18. I think the players need to drink more beer, it is a well known fact that beer is a muscle relaxant. I used to play two games a week (Saturday and Sunday) in my youth, interspersed with drinking lots of beer, never ever got a hamstring injury.............
  19. While I was watching the Villa/Chavs game I kept an eye on the BBC live updates for the Celtic game, from what I could work out Idah was left isolated up front which appears to be a problem for Celtic as it was the same for Kyogo when he was playing up front..........
  20. I think you are right. I started going in the days when you could pitch up, pay at the gate and stand to watch the game. I know it has been done to death but all seater stadia and no pay at the gate has been detrimental to the game. For me all seater stadia has been a big issue and a real con, in Germany they still have modern stadia with huge standing areas (I believe Bayern Munich has about a 13,000 capacity standing areas) that are reasonably priced. Many moons ago a group of friends and myself went to a Bundesliga game (SV Hamburg v Werder Bremen), the ticket price included travel on public transport. I accept that Germany is a much bigger country than England and its main cities have far superior public transport infrastructure than Norwich/Norfolk so it is hard to make comparisons, but personally I would like to see safe standing areas for young fans only (+1) with the ticket price being affordable and maybe including the cost of public transport, realistically though I know this will never happen (And I am not aiming this at just Norwich City)...............
  21. I do not disagree with the need to get new supporters in, but given the squeeze on household budgets it is going to be tough gig. For every youngster that wants to go there will need to be an adult to take them, so that is two season tickets at least and that is without the cost of travel/food/drink etc. My nephew would love to go to games regularly but my bro is not in the least bit interested in football, my great nephew would also love to go regularly but his Dad is not interested in Norwich City plus the family are basically skint. So that is two future fans who would love to go to games but cannot for whatever reason, I wonder how many other young, potential future fans have similar stories?............
  22. Do not disagree with the effect injuries had on us but not sure why Sainz is on that list. He made his full debut against Fulham in the Carabao Cup on 27th September, he then started on the bench in the next 8 games (the whole of October and November) before finals starting the game on 13th December. Nothing to do with being injured pre season, he just wasn't picked to start matches..........
  23. I understand that but Sainz made his debut for us on 27th September against Fulham but did not start a game again until 13th December...............
  24. Sargent and Barnes I agree with, not sure I would include Sainz in there, not because he is not an excellent player but because he was not getting many starts. The big misses were Barnes, Sargent, Gunn and Hanley.........
