  1. I occasionally watch it just to reaffirm my extreme dislike for all of the major political parties (and Reform 😀) and to confirm how disenfranchised I am under the current political system. Fiona Bruce is a terrible host. More often or not it is the non political panel member that talks with the most sense and the most honesty. Do not bother complaining to the BBC about the programme as they never admit to getting any of their broadcasting wrong.........
  2. The River End has always been the River End as far as I am concerned, except when it became "The Reeves Stand", Riverside is a different thing altogether..........
  3. I wonder if the introduction of the safe standing areas next season are making things more complicated for the club............
  4. If you have not seen the ITV documentary of the same name I would suggest watching it, I found it a good watch. On the face of it, it seems to be about the racehorse Showtime Mahomes that was bought for £8k, by a group of friends but it is so much more than that. As an aside one of the syndicate tells us that he chose the green and yellow silks for the horse because of his "love, hate relationship with Norwich City......... https://www.itv.com/watch/its-showtime/10a4768/10a4768a0001
  5. I would never have a half and half scarf. I have declared having a soft spot for Derby County and Luton Town, but if we are playing either of them I would be supporting Norwich City..............
  6. Researching my family tree I have ancestors that left Norfolk to live in Burton and work in the brewing industry. I believe I still have relatives still living in Burton...............
  7. Domestically I have a soft spot for Derby County and Luton Town. In Europe I have a soft spot for FC St Pauli and Djurgardens................
  8. Was lucky enough to see "Deadly" in action way back in 1987 in Edinburgh v Scotland in the Nat West Trophy. Rest in peace Derek wherever you may be................
  9. Said it a while ago, Ippo are going up automatically...................
  10. I have read this comment 469 times and despite it being short I am having trouble unravelling what it actually means, I think it is the "double West Brom" that has got me stumped, is it a sexual euphemism, a darts term or an accountancy term?.........
  11. Very sad news, been mulling over whether I should be betting on national hunt races or not, decided that is it for me, cashed out all my bets ................
  12. Each way bet on Limerick Lace for me.............
  13. On Grand National day 2005 we won at home 2-0 against Man Utd, Hedgehunter won the National (Green and Yellow quarters if I remember correctly). I only remember this because I was at the game and I backed the winner..................
  14. I think that (supposed) Ippo fan Jabba the Hutt or whatever his name is was hoping to cheer an opposition goal at Carrow Rd 😀................
  15. I am guessing this is young persons thing, I am given to understand some young people in Norfolk refer to Sheringham as "Shezza"..................
  16. For me, in the cold light of day, it was 2 points dropped. It is reasonable to say before it could be a tricky fixture after the team gave so much in the Ippo game, Sheff Wed are fighting for their live, playing conditions etc. However I personally believe you have to look at what actually happened in the game itself and we went from 2-0 up (should have been more than that) and cruising to grimly hanging on for dear life at the end of the game, So for me 2 points dropped and a stark reminder of the lack of strength in depth in our squad.........
  17. He was an Army bandsman, hence the tuba.............
  18. No I really did play footy with Pete and he really is a top bloke........
  19. Used to play in the same footy team as Pete many moons ago, really top bloke. From memory before working for NCFC he was a "fluffer"............
  20. I can only assume this was in a pub in Ipswich somewhere, they made some noise before the game kicked off as you would expect but the longer the game went on the quieter they got. I genuinely believe that was amongst the worst away support showing I have seen at Carrow Rd this season, a truly shameful effort by the Ippo fans..............
  21. I think you might be right Ricardo. I was very calm on Saturday, the nerves only really kicked in a bit when the 5 minutes of added time was announced, only because Ippo have been scoring late, late goals. I would also like to use your thread to take credit (jointly with the chap that sits next to me) for our goal. I have been hearing about this "visualisation" thing. When the free kick was given I said to him "this is going in, I am visualising it", he agreed and we "visualised" together, he said it would be a "Nunez wobbler" and so it came tp pass. We tried to "visualise" a second goal but for some reason it did not work, maybe the 4G/5G/wifi or something was not working properly 😀...............
  22. Ippo were "no where their best" because Wagner had his team motivated, on the front foot from the off and pressing them hard. One of their supposed better players (Woolfenden) gave the ball away twice in the second half under our press as Ippo tried to play out from the back. We wanted it way more than Ippo and that is down to the motivation and tactics of Wagner, no where near their best my ****..............
