Give it time, signings do not happen overnight how many signings have there been so far in this close season?? Not many.
The thing is though true is that we hear your argument every summer and then sign crap loan players just before the season starts because we dragged our heels, this summer we need the biggest squad rebuild since..well ..since last summer, and the slowly slowly approach is no good,we need about 10 players for God sake and there are good players out there to sign today not in three or four weeks!!!
Gunn has already said in the local press that he expects to have a good idea of what his squad will look like by mid-July.  If you don''t like what he has by then, by all means, start moaning. This is a thread about nothing.
He will have a good idea of what his squad will look like by mid-July because it will be about the same it is now, minus one or two other player''s. A squad devoid of quality, full of gaping great holes. And what''s the betting we limp into the new season without a recognised target man / big striker, just like last season, having to play Russell up front if he is still here, and have to paper over the ever widening cracks with another host of loan players that we were not going to have but now have too have because other wise we would not be able to field a team?  We always enter the transfer market too late. Always being told that players, managers, agents, taxi drivers and grandparents are all on holiday at this time so we cannot possibly sign anyone while around us other clubs steal the march on us. I really hope Gunn and Co are fired up and working their collective socks off to get the players we need into the club. With the squad we have we cannot afford to be found knapping. What worries me is we still do not have a proper board in place. We are three weeks and counting from when Munby and Dooncaster went and we were told they would be replaced quickly and the hint of investment was made. We are heading towards the new season a shambles and totally unprepared, on and off the pitch.
I think that we have more of an indication of the deep trouble we are in when you look at what Ian Crook says about the Mark Bosnich (spelling?) ''possibility''. The suggestion that the transfer budjet has not yet been set and we can''t proceed with transfers until it is. Adds weight to what I said above, and what others are saying, and tears some holes in the suggestions from some that all is ok.
 2. Roeder is employable, he is working for Arsenal, coaching the youngsters, incase anyone did not know.

 4.
So Gunn is the manager - and you all got to live with it so time to shut up. No night in shining armour with loads of dosh is coming so Delia will still be there at start of season. Thsi forum is over run with minority fanatics the same as the St Andrews meeting. Next season will be so much fun and i am realy looking forward to it. My prediction is Norwich v Leeds play off final at wembley. This is something to wish for a saviour. Almost worth going down a deision to see. Good luck Gunny boy.
Plus the previous quote: This so much sounds and feels like deja vu. Just like when this club so pathetically surrendered it''s premiership status a few short years ago. As certain people went ''there, there poor old Norwich'' and patted themselves on the back in congratulations for so meek a surrender. I suggest, wake up and smell the coffee. We carry on like we are within a few short seasons we could be seeing yet another relegation. Who else but the powers that be at Norwich City can put their confidence in failure. I would love it to work out for Gunn & Co as I am a City fan. But this is not the time for such a gamble. The whole future of our club is being toyed with. When we were relegated from the Prem, change was needed, but the club just sat back and watched the rot set in and the whole thing fester. That''s where we are again, only much much deeper in it!
 5.
I would say the team next year (from existing players only) will look something like this:                             Macdonald       Cureton Lappin                 Russell              Pattison              Smith Drury                   Stefanovic        Spillane               Otsemobor                                           Nelson Subs: Cort, Martin, Adeyemi, Lathrope, Rudd I can''t see Marshall staying (although his comments suggest otherwise), as I would expect the board would need to make cuts somewhere. Also we can sadly say goodbye to Croft, Clingan and Hoolahan. If we can hold on to one of those four, we should try and hold on to Clingan, as he is a proven top-class League One player. It would be good to keep hold of Doherty, as he would be immense in League One, but I would imagine he will probably be sold. I think Otsemobor could come good in League One - last time he was in this division, with Crewe, he was part of the team of the season. Pattison is the kind of player we need for League One. Martin and Spillane should also be battle-hardened from Luton, and I expect them to be regulars next season. Maybe Cureton will find his level in league one? I wouldn''t bet against it. We''re stuck with a handful of good, but injury-prone players: Drury, Cort and Stefanovic are all arguably too good for League One, but we can''t rely on them to remain injury-free in a more physical division. So we need to look at finding a new left-back, target man and centre back (assuming Doherty leaves). Lee would be an obvious target man choice, and it sounds like he wants to come here. But can we afford him? Aside from that, all-round cover is required. Let''s not get loans, but instead bring in some young, hungry players in the Cody Macdonald mould. It wouldn''t harm to get a Dion Dublin-type old head in around the place as well, particularly as I can''t see any natural leaders amongst the current bunch. There''s always going to be the shadow of a certain Mr Huckerby over the close-season. I think we need to lay this one to rest quickly. The powers that be and Hucks need to decide asap: Will he come or not? Otherwise it will hamstring all other attempts to improve the squad. Any thoughts?
I would suggest if you are thinking about starting with Nelson in goal we''ll be stuffed already!
 6. Maybe Mr Brian Gunn will be given the Job. Anything on Face Book yet?
 7. For me he has to go. Pratronising and condescending and two words that come to mind when I think of Doncaster. I find some some of his columns in the EPD as such. Plus he is Mr negotiation, been totally brilliant. In days when we really need the money can we really afford someone like this.
 8. Don''t shoot me down too much for this one. For those of you who remember I have been right in the past. I have heard from someone very reliable that Delia is staying with us next season. She has no plans to abidate. She is open to new investment(s). Would like someone else to come on board to work alongside her and Micheal for the betterment of the club. At the moment she is seeing Norwich City as a job uncompleted. She is very hurt by the position and plight of Norwich City, and takes it very personally, she really feels for the fans. So all this stuff about getting rid of Delia is very wide of the mark.
 9.

This season stays in our hands!
how? now have to rely on others as well as winning an unilkely game v Reading
Winning at Charlton will not be easy either - infact, I highly doubt it.
Just trying to be the optimist. Our Goal Difference is still Key. But we need Barnsley to loose. But hey they have got to play ''lets just roll over Coventry, and already promoted Wolves. It could still be in our hands after mid-week. Here''s hopeing. Just!
 10. Can''t blame ref''s, can''t blame the weather, can''t blame Ipswich, can''t blame Lisbie. This is because of our inept board, the total lack of ambition empower''d by prudence and the total and utter shambles that was Glenn Roeder.
 11. That would just rub salt into the wounds. It''s been a fear of mine over the last few weeks. I hope not because that lot will just not let it rest. Went out this morning and a vidio clip of ullathorne''s og, the Gunny miskick was being shown, and I thought to myself next week could be far far worse than that. What a sorry state we are in. Pessimism over, I''m feeling we will beat Ipswich next week.
 12. Trouble is I think League One is getting more and more competetive each year, and consequently harder to get out of.  Next season there will be two of Leeds, MK Dons and Millwall and add to that Charlton and Southampton (if they survive) it all starts to look rather competitive. Plus there are some very decent teams like Huddersfield and Oldham. It won''t be an easy division to get out of.
 13. I can''t see how anyone can suggest Lee and Shackell do not care. If all loan players put in asmuch effort and passion wearing a city shirt we would not be in the half the mess we are in now. Can''t wait to see Lee at portaloo road. Think you will see some passion then.
 14. Jimmy Neighbour was a player I loved to watch. I remember well John Bond''s year long surch to find a winger that included atempts to sign Tommy Hutchinson, Peter Lorimer and Ray Graydon and finished with Neighbour signing on the dotted line. The previous week he had given our defence the run around playing for Spurs. The £75,000 we payed for him was a bargin. He was quick. He had a fantastic burst of speed. On his day, at his best there was not a full back who could handle him and he was a fantastic out let for the passing genius of Martin Peters. Peters benefited too with Neighbours crossing ability. He mixed it, either whipping the ball in from the flank or lovely floated crosses which Peters could ghost in on. With John Ryan behind him overlapping as well we had a dangerous right flank in those days. For me Neighbour is one of my all time favoutite players. Yes he was frustrating at times. At times the stuff he tried did not come off. Sometimes he disappeared from games completely, but when it all clicked, in full flight with the ball at his feet, defender in his wake, what a player! Rest in peace Jimmy! You''ve left me some great memories.
 15.

This is not about loosing today, it''s about this whole miserable season. Thankyou!!
Just the one season?
Make that 4 seasons.
Yes. Since we surrendered in the Premiership. It''s been down hill all the way. But this season has been an utter joke. The mess created by Roeder and the Board beggars belief!!
 16. All we have to do is beat Watford and Ipswich and get something out of the Charlton game, i.e a win and we should be there. It''s in our hands now, like it always has been always should be. Can''t see Forrest getting anything on Monday against Sheff U, so what''s the betting we get relegated at Portman Road. Please no. That would add insult to all the injury we have suffered this season.
 17. What can you say. Everyone else has what it takes to fight, to get results. Thank you Prudence you have done us proud.!!!
 18. This is not about loosing today, it''s about this whole miserable season. Thankyou!!
 19. Just when we need to get crosses into the box we take off the one player who can do it   COME ON BROSTOL!!!!!  GET IN THERE
