1. I''ve often been critical of the boards appointments, if you read my posts I was critical from the offset of Grant and Roeder''s appointments, for me Grant was a total bullsh**er to the point it was patronising, Roeder was showing his arrogance from day one. I often asked the question, why can''t the board actually employ someone likable, a manager who is liked and respected by the supporters and liked and respected by the players? ok I know there are many more qualities required to being a manager than just being a good, decent character but it should be one hell of a starting point in any list of requirements. In Gunny we have a man who is respected, dignified, liked by all, a great communicator, who possess both life experience and football experience, his character and popularity are second to none. The main argument for not appointing Gunny, from most posters is - we like him too much and at some point in the future he could be asked to leave etc, Ok I understand that point but is that really a good enough reason for not giving someone a job - You like them too much? Perhaps Gunny doesn''t want the job but if he does, we could do a lot worse, a lot, lot worse!
 2. I for one wouldn''t be disappionted if Gunny got the job, I don''t base that on yesterdays single victory but for the man he is
 3.
This may be a stupid question but have the media tried to speak to Roeder about his thoughts on getting the boot? Usually when a manager leaves there''s some sort of statement but I haven''t seen one anywhere? Would be interesting to hear his last words.
He''s probably too busy laughing himself off to the bank, [at our expense] to worry about giving an interview
 4. Shedding tears for Roeder! sorry Gunny your street cred just dropped by 90%
 5. Our board aren''t renowned for being the brightest pencils in the box, perhaps they thought Frank Worthington was the Irish Manager, or perhaps if they did indeed think it was Nigel, they probably thought getting him back would mean he''d have to pay back his 600k - well I can''t think of any other reasons.   Mind you didn''t we sack Gary Megson [after not winning a single game] with a  pay off, only to get him back again, only to sack him again shortly after that with an even larger pay out? or did I imagine that little horror story?

 7.
...and when they do appoint someone, it will be Baldrick!
Or Shawn the Irish B@stard
 8.
I agree with you, except I think they are in the same boat as the fans - nobody has a clue what would be best or how to achieve it.  It''s just all so terribly sad.  As a club we have run out of money, ideas, and I fear we are fast running out of credibility.  Meanwhile goal difference is keeping us out of the bottom 3 (until Doncaster play their game in hand) and we''re playing Barnsley on Saturday with someone random in charge.Rock bottom and then some.
Well I''m off the fence I want Aidy Boothroyd - this is coming from a guy who from the beginning of each previous appointment had strong reservations about Worthy''s appointment, was totally against Grants appointment and was even more against GR''s appointment. So there it is, if  AB gets the job and flops [which I don''t think he will] I''m happy to put my cards on the table early, as I have always done on appointments and say I got it wrong. In my humble opinion AB is the best that''s out there, within our scope, so lets go get him
 9.
What he did for Norwich but say for example it was for Derby and Norwich now want him ( as some reports suggest ) , Would you want him as manager now for NCFC . I dont want him as he had his time here but if he never managed us before i wouldnt mind ! Hope this makes sence .
Understand where you are coming from Danny, but in reality Worthington has only had a season and a half of success in his whole career, it could be argued that Boothroyd is similar in that respect but in terms of charisma, personality, leadership and man-management qualities AB looks way ahead in my opinion
 10.  You''d all get a laugh, guaranteed.  Sample: "Was it a tough interview to get the job, Ian?" Answer: "No I showed them all  my formations and then I interviewed them." Laugh guaranteed not entirely sure about the rest of it........................... Perhaps you all just need cheering up? Lol, Holloway''s sense of humour is second to none and and hebprobably has more charisma than all 92 managers put together, after 4 years of abject misery and failure he would certainly cheer us up, I''m already resigned to the fact we will never achieve anything, so we might as well have a bit of a laugh.Perhaps the board should make having a sense of humour one of their requirements in their quest for a manager, you would certainly need one working at Carrow Road, Holly''s sense of humour is probably a bit too advanced though, perhaps somebody with a Keystones Cops sense of humour would be more suitable!
 11.

If getting Worthington back was plan A, getting Grant back might be plan B, I don''t want to even consider who plan C might be!
Plan C could be telling Roeder they have made a mistake and would he please come back.
Well he did survive relegation by one game back in the heady days at Carrow Road, so with our board''s record lets not discount the possibility!
 12.
Next they''ll be interviewing Ian Holloway....
Steady Pete, we haven''t got over your first bomb shell yet! mind you at least we would get a bit of a laugh out of Holly
 13. If getting Worthington back was plan A, getting Grant back might be plan B, I don''t want to even consider who plan C might be!
 14. The only good thing about the approach was he turned it down!
 15. OMFG! Surely this can''t be true! In comparison Worthington was twice the manager of GR and Grant [not too difficult taking everything into account] but the fact they were even considering this option is fecking scary - have they not learnt anything from the past?
 16.
Sacking Roeder is a poor decision made at the wrong time.  Our only opportunity to strengthen the squad has now gone and the window will be closed before any new manager gets his feet under the table.  Roeder inherited a very poor side and improved it slightly with some good signings on very little money.  We played spme great stuff at the start of the year and had no luck. Boothroyd would be a great appointment for me as I sit high up in the stand so could see plenty of the ball.  We will turn into a long ball team of cloggers and bruisers playing rubbish football week in week out and he will divide the dressing room as he did at Watford.  All you morons wanting Roeder out because he hurt you lickle feelings are about to get what you deserve, an even worse team and certain relegation.
Oh I didn''t realise this was our only opportunity to strengthen the squad, I thought the last 14 months and the 22 players he brought in were supposed to that? I might be wrong but perhaps he got the sack because he was a totally cr@p manager
 17.
Even top human resource professionals within the most streamlined of businesses/organizations, accept that hiring key staff is not without its uncertainties. It is and cannot be an exact science, but they aspire to get it right most of the time.It does beg the question just how the current City board has got it totally wrong, so many times, with this spectacular unbroken line of failures*?Statistically,  a random selection process such as pulling names out of a hat would assuredly have yielded better outcomes than this.I am delighted that Roeder has gone, but I am fearful of what the our Board of Bodgers are capable of doing next time!* And I don''t exempt Worthington from being an ''overall'' failure - he lucked one good season and had no idea how. (Please don''t take me up on this as 4/5 still makes my point.)
Totally agree, surely the law of averages says even a Board of Bodgers can''t get it totally wrong a forth time! or can they?
 18.
for anyone interested ive just spotted my wife in the garden having a crafty cigarette . Should be of about as much interest as spotting Roger Munby!
Now that depends if her crafty cigarette was after a secrete meeting with Aidy Boothroyd in the vegetable patch
 19.
is Ian Murray playing for a top four premiership side now? Or would most people say Ian who?. Dont need all this rubbish dredged up when we should all now be 100% behind our club staying in the championship.
Does Ian Murrey need to be playing for a top Premiership side to have an opinion? seemingly his opinion was spot on.
 20.
Okay, the results have been awful, its been very frustrating lately, and last night was a bleak one....But, Roeder should not have been sacked in my opinion. They should have changed his job title and brought in a head coach - with Roeder as director of football - his contacts and scouting abilities would have still been used (Evans, Grounds, Bates to name just a few younger, but quality players he''s picked out) but obviously his man management was letting him down.I honestly believe we will be worse without him at the club - despite what everyone thinks of him personally.
Evans, Lita and wotshisface from Birmingham were ok not sure about the rest, Worthington brought in Crouch and Huckerby on loan, now that takes some beating!GR has brought in 22 players, that''s not a team, that''s a squad and yet he couldn''t get the best out of any of them! the players who were here he destroyed or sold, lost the dressing room, lost the fans and ultimately lost the board, oh and lost most of his games of football - now that also takes some beating!
 21.
Worthy was quite detested was he not?
Worthy lost support because he raised the bar and failed to maintain it with  mid table Champ positioning - GR on the other hand lost the dressing room, lost the fans, lost the board on account he was arrogant, despicable and useless
 22.

I''m sure a decent manager would change your outlook, a fading manager [Worthington] followed by two abysmal managers has indeed given us a grey outlookAidy Boothroyd''s appointment will be a change for the better I feel
No mate it wont.It doesnt matter what sport your in, lack of funds means constant failure iam affraid.Sir alex couldnt get this squad promoted, thats a fact, and he wouldnt be able to make squad good enough in the time managers get at this club.Iam not defending glenn. He had more than his share of faults. But without a board willing to invest at least 5 million a year on players will will never again see consistent success, flashes in the plan like worthy had maybe on occasion, but thats the very best scenareo iam affraid [:(]
If Glen Roeder became the Man Utd manager and was given the same funds as Sir Alex, he would still be an utter disaster, GR was a very poor manager - full stop, it has nothing to do with money in his case, he did, after all bring in 22 players, none of which ever played as a team
