  1. Carlisle united for me, I grew up with them being the only professional team within at least a 50 mile radius (ignoring Scottish clubs) so spent a fair chunk of my youth on the terraces of Brunton Park (largest capacity stadium with proper terracing I believe)... Unfortunately they have been pretty consistently ****e, hence they're my second team...
  2. Only if you commit to a quarterly special on expected saves
  3. He didn't say which type of cheek the tongue was in
  4. Just to be clear, if it goes past the point of conversation and starts getting personal then yes, hammer time, however that should apply equally to ncfc fans as well. Judge others by the standard you would wish to be judged...
  5. Whilst there may be a certain man Utd fan who has riled people and behaved less than acceptably it does go both ways, the responses at times have also gone too far and not just towards him. I for one have no problem with non-ncfc fans coming on here and offering their opinions, as they are just that, and sometimes it can be useful to get that external perspective. Some of the attitudes towards them is a disappointing and somewhat embarrassing reflection of some of our fanbase. We should be open to other people joining in the conversation and not try to drive them away just because they aren't one of us no matter what their misguided opinions of billy gilmour are...
  6. Williams is not miles better than Stacey, but also, Stacey isn't a massive tw@, whereas Williams most certainly is... I guess football clubs are a bit like dogs in that they come to resemble their fans....
  7. That'd be the one, the one that was a Chelsea fan until someone pumped millions of pounds into Ipswich and he realised it would be good publicity for him to have his name on the shirt ...
  8. Did they not see how Ed Sheeran and his mate were jumping around when they equalised! It was like they'd just won the league, they couldn't even win the match...
  9. This obsession with getting sara further forward is a bit odd to me, he arrived with a reputation for being a box to box midfielder, he does best when playmaking from deep and arriving late to attacks and on the few occasions he was played as an AM hasn't really shone... If anything it's Nunez that needs to be a bit more forward
  10. Because you'd already been posting in the other thread so it comes across as you just wanting to beat the club up as much as possible due to some perceived slight....which really doesn't seem like something you would do.
  11. "It's like a mule with a spinning wheel. No one knows how he got it and danged if he knows how to use it!"
  12. According to wiki yes, but he started his centre half career early on at Cambridge: "In August 1988, he joined Cambridge United on a free transfer,[5] as a centre-forward, which had been his position at Norwich City. However, due to injuries he had to make a number of appearances at centre-half" So I guess I'm misremembering....
  13. Was Dion Dublin not originally a CB at youth level then moved up front (like C. Sutton)?
  14. Solsjkaer was happy being a career long super sub ..
  15. You've hit the nail on the head there nutster. Big strong strikers bully players all the way through youth and usually fallback on the easy option of their greater physical stature, it then takes them time to adjust to not being the biggest and the quickest on the pitch and it takes a fundamental mindshift to not fallback on that when things aren't going well. Hopefully this is the start of idah using the skills which give him the chance to be a real, long term, success as a footballer....
  16. If you want to preserve it then you should be able to request a copy of the video under data protection act. Provide the date time and location and request all video of you. They are allowed charge a nominal processing fee, but it must be justifiable and it is legally limited, I'm just not sure what the limit is these days...
  17. Interestingly (in the loosest sense of the word) I believe man Utd are the only football league team that Carlisle have never played in a league match as they were relegated from the top flight for the one season that Carlisle were up there...
  18. As I stated above, the situation both on and off the field is wildly different so you're comparing apples to oranges. The Carlisle owners wanted a quick sale as they needed it to happen like that and have made no secret of the fact they were desperate for someone to come and take it off their hands .. I just hope that the Americans are realistic in their expectations.
