  1. I think the problem lies after the first promotion. You come back down with the money, the improvements and the parachute payments, you should be competitive at the top end the next season so fan expectations are higher, if you then get promoted again you need to try and push on, but the resources from 2 brief visits are not enough so you either see a bit of regression and the supporters getting disheartened or you gamble more than you should. Promotion paves the way to hell...
  2. You set the trend for others to buck...
  3. They went up to the 1st division the season man Utd went down, which means that man Utd are the only league team that Carlisle have never played a league match against.
  4. Could say the same about Carlisle, until recently they were the only professional club in one of the largest counties and bar 3 or 4 seasons in then 70s not been out of the bottom 2 divisions and always struggle with gates...
  5. Now that's just virtue signalling.
  6. Take the word of an obviously biased journo: "My second home and a lifelong love affair with my local football team from growing up."
  7. Already at 226 views. How many replies did LYB get?
  8. They cite the congestion caused by the UEFA competitions, but, the clubs in them are only joining the FA cup in round 3 anyway, so why get rid of replays in rounds 1 & 2?
  9. Just a minor point, but domestic and international loans work differently, international loans is a full transfer of the player as it has to be between FAs, domestic loans are a lot more flexible (but depending on the wording of the loan contract probably won't be able to play for us)
  10. Yes, being owned by billionaire Michael Eisner has nothing to do with it, it was purely the fans what got them promoted... I am being flippant as he hasn't just dumped money in like so many other owners, but that is a ridiculous statement to make....
  11. For reference these are all of our transactions and agent was involved in... For some reason josh had his contract updated twice in the reporting period....
  12. Whilst you do seem rather sensible, on McKenna finding answers, he has actually got worse against us, what makes you think he could turn it round when the pressure is REALLY on? Whilst we know you have no right to be up where you are (+18 over xG isn't it?) your fans should also know that and if you don't go up this year then McKenna will get poached and you will drop back down to where you should be with the squad you have. We had the same with Lambert, occasionally managers come along and hit the right club at the right time, that is McKenna with you now and once he is gone so will you be...
  13. Looks very much like the head to me in the replay... But I am on a phone screen...
  14. Oh yes it has (Sorry if someone's already made this joke, I'm just catching up)
  15. I did notice an extra ball coming onto the pitch a couple of times... But I thought the new rules with multi all and the cones was hat the ball boys weren't allowed to give the ball to the players anymore?
  16. He didn't really hang his leg out though, he did what any good striker does, cut in front of the defender who is trying to get back so that they can't get to the ball, the defender then either fouls you or has to go round you taking time. Morsy just clatered into the back of him...Much like Luango did near the half way line in the 8th minute when Josh had a through ball to chase that again the ref didn't give anything for
  17. It would be so much funnier if we did them in the semis, especially with all of the crowing they've done about how great they are, especially as they wouldn't even get a day out at Wembley then (which they;ve never played at, one of only about 6 teams in the whole EFL)....
  18. I think he appears less keen because he is earlier in his career. Unfortunately he is going to be a top manager, fortunately it won't be with the binners. If they don't get promoted, as soon as a premier league club comes along he will be off (so this summer probably). Even if they do get promoted he will still be off sooner rather than later....
  19. The last Ipswich player to score a winning goal in Norwich was apparently Darren Bent!
  20. +18.1 xg is a big part of the reason. Credit where it is due, McKenna is a star manager in he making, but, we did them today
