1. Good staff at Ben Burgess. Polite and very helpful. Bought my lawn mower from them, had my hedge trimmer serviced by them and last year I bought my fireworks there. My mate got his fireworks there too following my recomendation. Easy parking too.
 2.
I agree with all he says but it doesn''t mean that they have to try and fleece supporters. Everything has a price and this season our casual tickets for League games have been tiped ovr the edge of where they are now too expensive and people will simply vote with their feet and not come which I believe has already happened at Carrow Rd in the 2 previous League games!
and then there are the "free" tickets at Carrow Road that I got howled down about some months ago on this Board by people who said I did not know how a Football Club was run! That is a culture at Carrow Road that runs from the Directors Box to the Ground Staff.
 3.
Alternatively, try a delicious matchday pie before the match! In true matchday tradition, enjoy a hearty matchday pie from one of our kiosks! Choose from either: Meat & Potato or Cauliflower Cheese Beat the queues and look out for pitch side hawkers serving drinks and snacks pitch side pre-match and at half-time! Dunno about the game or team choice but the bloody pie selection for Saturday is shocking ! :(
Well last season the "meat & potato gave me the runs and the Cauliflower Cheese was flat and horrible. As I said in a previours post it depends on your standards and Morty''s are obviously pretty low but have any of you ever seen Delia eating a Match Day Pie and if not the answer as to quality is pretty obvious. Would the hawkers find it worth their while if the NCFC pies were quality. and the answer is pretty obvious. Time City raised it standards.
 4. Come to think of it can we stop International matches. Aren''t they a bore and aren''t there too many of them against countries one has never heard of. I am very parocial as far as Football is concerned. Just interested in Norwich City really and Championship Teams. Can we start a movement to ban International breaks and this crap 25 players rule of which 8 must be UK (sort of). Why do Scottish Players count as English? The Netherlands and France are nearer to Norwich than Scotland.
 5.

Wiz, you''re a tit.
Morty, that''s more than a little harsh, comparing Wiz and ''tits'' in the same sentence. In my personal opinion ''tits'' serve a purpose [;)], with comments such as Wiz''s, he certainly doesn''t!!
I''m not talking a pert, young tit, more a saggy, old lady droopy one. [;)]
Not nice Morty, not nice. One day your sack is going to be all slack and slapping and I hope this post comes back to haunt you.. Time for you to grow up a bit I''m thinking.
 6. Aston Villa. My grandfather was a shareholder back in 1910 (one hundred years ago} and my coz Diana still has the shares. The pitch had a banked wooden cycle track round it and they used to hold cycle races there. Being shareholders grandfather was allocated two free tickets to matches and after he died my mother used to go to the games with her coz Harold. Just before mother died I took her to Carrow to see Norwich play Aston Villa in a league game. We had seats in the City Stand. No one could have been more delighted than my mother. I think Villa won!.
 7.

Now I''ve given up my season ticket, I could write a blog as a "Non-Regular Twat" featuring insights such as "those casual prices aren''t half expensive," "Who are the ones in yellow?" and "What do you mean it''s two quid for a coffee?"
Sorry Mr Chops, and I don''t mean to be nosy if it is some private reason, but why have you given up your season ticket?  To give up my season ticket in the Barclay would take a lot as it is part of my life (and I cannot express my hatred enough to say how humiliated I feel at having to be transported to my seat in the service lift for a game).. Those who accepted the design for the Barclay without  proper access for the disabled and unwell should be very ashamed of themselves.
Baby * (Money/Free time) = [co]
Well there you go....another thing that is lacking at Carrow for a Family Club and that is a decent, warm, well supervised and secure creche so that mums and dads can watch the game and not have to give up active support for the Club.  We need to start attending to these things now if we are going to attract 35,000 supporters when we get into the Premiership.

 9. I fancy forming a political party called "Norwic City First" with the aim of getting two or three guys elected to the Council. These members would then formally appreciate the publicity and good works the Club is bringing to, and giving to, the area and in return attempt to help the clup increase its success on the field. The ultimate aim would be to build a new stadium which the Club could use on a pepercorn rent and which would be of more use to the community than Carrow Road. You want me to blog this until it gets big enough to carry itself?
 10. When I come to think about it I have never met a celeb ( apart from Delia) to talk to in all my life. I wonder if I should feel sad about it or if I have missed something. Maybe its not my fault, maybe celebs are not interested in me.....if they were I suppose I would be a celeb by association ... an ABC.... or is that streching it a bit far?
 11. I thought he did us well. I used to like to watch him play. Earned us a million quid when he left us and I never had the feeling that he really wanted to go. Came back like a shot when we needed him on loan.  Sure give him a good reception! I have a photo taken of him, me and Hucks on my birthday in the Gunn Club.He was man of the match that day. Would be five years ago now.....wow!
 12. Yes but what happens to these guys. Martin says it was the whole team. Why do so few make it to the first team? Is the gulf so wide? Why do we always have to buy from outside. When I played Rugby the Club had five teams and there was a natural progression upwards until you found your level. Age had almost nothing to do with it. Why does age seem to count so much in soccer?
 13. I am suprised no one has mentioned: "Oh, oh McKensie He scored against the scum He scored another one McKensie, McKensie" and of course: "Aways shit on the o..old Blue and white!"
 14. Seems to me that most of the English have given up on the 2,000 year old book revised 400 years ago and now rely on the "Sun" and "Cosmo". When we now realise that the nearest planet that could perhaps send us messages is 2,500 light years away perhaps that is the way to go  and we sould give up on the USA and Middle Eastern "God". The English are, as usual, in advance of the rest of the World.
 15. Agreed Yellow Rose....does that mean US, UK and Oz can now get out of Afganistan too?
 16. Very little Mr Chops as it can be quite cold in the middle of Winter on the beach but aren''t football fans conservative? Half time came about originally so that the opposing teams could change the game to the others set of rules. I always remember sorting a bunch of little kids into 13 a side when too many turned up. They were having a glorious time untill the official "coach" turned up. "Oh no we can not have that" said he and so 4 little lads had to come off the pitch and not play any longer. The original Norwich City games were "friendlies". Memory suggests that the first Norwich game was against Harwich & Parkstone but it was a long time ago. Taking the Penalty kicks before the game starts means the "loosing" team plays like Hell in the last twenty minutes because there is no point in playing for a draw. Bigger goal minding areas should mean more goals with more long range shots and we all like to get to our feet and salute the goal scorer. Thirteen a side should mean the end of the lone striker with at  least 3 forwards. In my day we played 2:3:5 with five forwards as the norm, and we charged the goal keeper too. Good games they were. The Blackpool v Bolton FA Final is still a classic played over 50 years ago It really is rather silly having Carrow closed for two thirds of the year. If you don''t want "Friendlies" why not have "Ladies" Football. It was so big before the war that the "men" of the FA banned it from being played on "their" grounds and came in with the silly rule that girls over 11 yrs could not play "mens" soccer.
 17.

Repecutions? Lost on that one although I was able to figure out what you meant bu escilate (escalate). Perhaps we play 9/11 up more than anyoner else does because it happened to us so it stung a little deeper than, say the July attacks on the London transit did a few years later. We can''t help it if the rest of the world gets caught up in our drama, that is on the rest of the world''s shoulders. Stop minding our busisness and you wouldn''t be so upset by it. Why not focus on the Congo and the real, on-going tragedy there? It''s not as galmorous or chic, but it''ll make you just as angry, and for a real reason. If you don''t realize Hussein was a threat to the west then you are uninformed. He should have been removed because of the genocides he engaged in against the Kurds. He had already shown aggression against Kuwait once, and messing with the oil supply would have a major impact on your own lifestyles, moch more than it would on mine since we get most of our imports from places beyond the Middle East. So yes, he was a threat., WMDs or not.
Erk maybe this thread needs to be deleted or locked plz Pete ?? No disrespect to Houston here but after reading that im about ready to spit venom straight back :-/ Sorry pal, will merely hold my flame and say I disagree entirely !!
I am with you Nexsus. Ask ''em why they did not come into WWI until 1917 or WWII until 1942. Was not Germany a threat to freedom or did they want to see the British Empire bankrupt first?
 18. Ipswich, Colchester,Tottenham, Peterborough,Lincoln,West Ham, QPR, Norwich. All. would have a 10,000 crowd. Four winners play each other during the next International break, No draws. Penalties before the start of the game not afterwards. Bigger goal areas. 13 Players a side. The linesman throwing the ball in from touch with his back to the pitch. Sin bin for 10 mins for yellow card.Four periods of 20 minutes playing time. 5 mins break taken on the pitch. E.A Trophy to the winners plus a game against winning European side organised on the same basis.
 19.
Hi all, Just completed a new blog related to International Football. Thought it was appropriate with tonight''s game in mind. http://www.pinkun.com/content/pinkun/blogs/jarrold-stand-journal.aspx Pop over, have a look and let me know what you think! Cheers SP
For what it''s worth I have written a comment......but it seems it has to be moderated so like this Board of old there has to be someone sitting about waiting to moderate it.........jobs for the boys eh?
 20.
Is that it? Surely an inner circle consists of more than that.[:O]
I hate the way they wish each other "Happy birthday!" and those you write nothing more than " I agree"..... like the England score its irrevalent. Who cares if someone you don''t know, and probably would not which to meet, agrees or not? Like the American Newbie who wanted to look at poster''s photographs.....ugh!
 21. Coffee at CoCo''s 10.45 am Perth''s finest restuarant sitting in the sunshine with a magnificent view of the CDB on the other side of the  sparkling blue Swan River. Friends to dinner in the evening. King prawn salad with Coral Lettuce and anchivies, poached Tasmanian salmon, sautee mushrooms, snow potatoes, brocalli, blue berry pancakes with maple syrup and fromage frais, a bottle of  Italian white Frascati, Arabica coffee, mint chocolate.
 22. Believing that Lambert was the greatest thing sliced sliced bread and that every Club in the land wanted him as their manager Having Cook as Reserve Team manager Having a Reserve Team Not having to worry about beating Ipswich
 23. Where do these guys live? Doesn''t anyone see them mowing the lawn or down the pub and have a chat to them. Why doesn''t an Argent reporter chase them up.As an auditor we always used to check the payroll with evidence that the names belonged to real persons.... maybe we should do an audit? Afterall as shareholders we do have some rights to be assured the directors are managing the club properly!
 24.
I just don''t understand running on the pitch.  [:|]
There are so many things that you do not do in life that sometimes its nice, in your old age, to be able to say "I did that". My father, who had fought in the Battle of the Somme in the 1914-18 where over 1 million men were killed, used the wish he had gone to the Gold Coast (Ghana) when offered a job there in the 1920''s. I went in the 1970''s just to find out what he had missed. It might he quite good fun when you are 80 yrs of age to muse how when you were a "young ''un" you ran on the pitch at Carrow before a full house and got tackled by a Steward or a Copper. Even better muse if you got to the other side. I suppose it depends on the life that you had.For sure the lad in the green suit is going to remember his trip to Nottingham..
