1. This performance is not about tactics, it`s not about who played where, it`s not about who started, who was on the bench., who came on ...........................it`s all about a disease we have of lacking the backbone to knuckle down and play against a lower league team. It wont IMO affect our league form, it`s a one off thats gone. Roeder has resolved a number of our problems but the Norwich thing about lacking the ability to graft still has to be cured, the players can praise the fans all they like but there is a real lack of character which they all should be ashamed of.
2. Hucks goes off, well, who would have thought it?
3.
does anyone think that the fact pattison has now got a permanent Move and nice Contract on bif wags and the fact that since he got them he has played Crap are, in anyway, a coincidence?   I really hope he isnt David Neilsen Mark 2! jas :)
That thought just went through my mind.
4.
LOL! all those who said Bury 0 now have egg on their faces, dont you?
They do dont we!
5. Earnie vows to return to Ninian Park Jan 15 2008 by Mark Bloom, South Wales Echo ROB Earnshaw today sent a tremor of excitement the way of Cardiff City fans by admitting: “I will return to the Bluebirds if it means regular football”. The Ninian Park hierarchy are understood to be considering the possibility of a loan move for a striker whose goal record in a City shirt gave him hero status in South Wales. Earnshaw’s career has never really taken off since he left Cardiff for then Premiership West Brom in August 2004 and he is currently out of favour at doomed Derby County – although he is starting tonight for the Rams in an FA Cup third round replay against Sheffield Wednesday. “I get my chance to start tonight, but to be honest it’s been a frustrating time for me,” Earnshaw told the Echo. “I could play well tonight and that will kick-start my season, so who knows? “But I would certainly not snub Cardiff or anybody else for the chance to play regular football. “I think I’m a better all-round player since I left Cardiff, but it would not worry me one bit to return to Cardiff and play for them again. “I also have Wales to think about. The 2010 World Cup campaign starts in September and I need games to stand a chance of being in John Toshack’s plans.”
6. Bury were frightened to death by Hucks in the first leg, good choice to play him tonight. looks like we`re off to another poor start!

Nishclishbang wrote the following post at 15/01/2008 7:19 PM: Yep, fair enough, but did he really say that because he wanted to be in the Premiership with Derby on more cash or because he was really out of love with Norwich - I think it was the former ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yes, I dont think he came out and said he didnt want to play for Norwich, but I am prepared to be corrected. I think he gave 100% for us every time he played, when some others were lacking commitment. It was a terrible time to be a player at Norwich, the atmosphere was awful but he still kept trying. Could be his motivation to play was so he could get shop windowed but nevertheless he always gave his best.
8. Lets hope the young man has a good game tonight. Interesting he has the left back position, I am not a huge fan of Camara, done a reasonable job but IMO not convincing. Roeder seems impressed though so what do I know.
9.
I think they''re going to feature all of the replays in highlights after the main game on BBC tonight mate.
Good. Thanks
10. Does anyone know if there are highlights of tonights game being broadcast this evening?

It seems at the moment that everything Roeder touches turns to gold, lets hope he can keep it going cos if he can the sky`s the limit.      This is a really good point. I always wonder why many of our signings (not to mention academy kids), however promising or respsected, just don''t deliver? I''m worried that JC might be falling in to this category. Yes some are not cut out for it in the first place, but we always seem to be reading about how someone else''s new signing or latest academy product is the new sensation and making a real impact on their team   It is interesting how time and time again players come and fail or academy boys dont make it. Coming into a team that is well set up, organised and being given a clear role that builds on your indevidual strenghts is a huge factor IMO, paricularly with fair to good players. Great players will make a mark whatever. I had a son at the academy until recently and to be honest he came out after 4 years a less confident and a worse all round player than when he went in.I dont necessarily blame the Norwich set up for this but the FA coaching models. We used to play some of the London teams and occasionally you would see a really outstanding player, I dont recall any of those at Norwich academy, there were lots of really good boys but nobody with that extra bit. I also think too many get given professional contracts but never play, it probably makes sence for the club to hang on to them to see if they turn into something really good, but if they are in the sqad at 17, 18 or 19 and not playing regular competative football then they never will develop. Academy football is not like playing in proper full on competitive games, I firmly believe boys will often develop into better players outside of the unreal world of academy football.
12. Having only seen Ryan Bertrand against Bury it`s a bit early to make any sort of judgement, but by all accounts he played really well on Saturday. Only 18 and we have him for the whole season. I was dissapointed when Jimmy Smith went back to Chelsea as I thought he had a lot more to give, but am now feeling a bit better. A good defensive left mid field player gives us a lot more options, particularly away and could well see Hucks relegeted to a bit part player. It`s not that long ago that if Hucks wasnt in the team I used to feel we had no chance of a win, now we are much stronger all round and its a lot harder for the oposition to predict which way we will be set up before a game.Crofty is really begining to show his ability with a good run in a team that is hard to beat. Any player coming into such a badly organised team as we used to have had very little chance to make a difference. It seems at the moment that everything Roeder touches turns to gold, lets hope he can keep it going cos if he can the sky`s the limit.    [:D]

15. Looks like we have an option to keep Ched for the rest of the Season, good news. Presumably he could still be called back to City later in the season, but for now I am happy
16. Taylor in the Bluenose squad for Saturday? Perhaps we have missed our chance, the whole situation has changed.
17. Just confirms that  January is a good time to sell but not such a good time to buy. £400k for a striker with his hit rate, clubs are under pressure from their fans to bring in new players, particulary at Preston at the moment, what a total waste of money and what a sales job for us. It gives Glen the chance to get rid of Grants rubbish, make a profit and hopefully get in somebody decent. I think you`d call it "a sting".
18. I agree on Chris Martin, I think Jarvis showed enough to keep him in Roeders mind. He looks stronger since returning from loan and made himself available when everyone else seemed to be hiding. Far from great but in the context of this game I though he made a small impression.
19. I think he`s been ok so far, we definately needed to keep him or get someone similar, good stuff.
20. Forget all the contract stuff, he`s a professional footballer earning the best living he can, like virtually all the others. The point is that everytime he played for us he worked very hard to make something out of very very poor service. I never saw him give up when many others have, I would have him back like a shot. After the way things were with the club and the crowd last season I cant think of any reason why he would want to come here, his memories of NCFC will not be too great!
21.

I have two kids, aged 5 and 8. They have both been to games and have both heard many, many swear words at the match, at home and in other environments (not least the play ground). My view is that swearing is like farting - everyone does it, but we must learn when and where it is appropriate or not. Farting is ok within the family, but not in front of the teacher - the same rules apply (to a certain extent) with swearing. Both my kids know loads of swear words but would never dream of using them - it''s ''grown-up talk'' (and even the grown ups use it at ''certain'' times). After a game, we''ve talked about the swearing and decided that it''s kind of ok at the football but we wouldn''t dream of using that sort of language in the classroom or over dinner at Grandmas. They understand this - they''re not stupid. It happens, we can''t ''protect'' kids against it, but we can educate and bring up kids with healthy social attitudes.
I cant believe you fart. Thats disgusting.
I quite enjoy picking up the scent of one of my own feastive farts at this time of year, it warms you within on a cold Tuesday night. There is great satisfaction to be gained from letting one go in a packed stand when you know you will never be found out. I take my kids who are now teenagers, if I had the conversation with them about "grown up talk" they would probably tell me to "f" off. When we have dinner at Grandmas the problem is that despite our own buttock clenching,Grandma regularly farts whenever she gets up to pass the gravy.
