Yes, the Evans deal is far from perfect (I''d like to see at least one photograph of the guy who owns us) but here''s the thing: we owed 30mill to external groups which we couldn''t afford to pay. We now owe 30mill to internl groups - i.e. Marcus Evans. However he slices up the debts/tax benefits is his decision. What is clear is that when the NU interest payment holiday ran out we would have been in serious trouble. Garvan, Haynes, Lee, etc. would have to have been sold. Now we don''t have to sell anybody and are in a position where we can buy players. So, undeniably, in terms of this season, the here and now, we are in better position with Evans on board. We got to 6th position playing good football without him... who knows where his money will take us?
