STOKE.
Forget today’s Webber connection, this has nothing to do with that.
I have thought for a long time, Stoke have by far the richest owner in the Championship. Her income is Million pound a day. Yes a Million, all sadly from betting. What good has that done Stoke? Not a lot I would suggest.
Just shows having very rich owners doesn’t do much good, unless they use some of it to help the club they own.
She would hardly notice a few million here and there to help them financially.

Hamilton for me every time.
BUT in Delias words “ he was such a nice man”
Did any other owners ever say that about successful managers?
Recall someone on the board once said Paul Lambert was the most demanding man he had ever met………I rest my case.
-
Would you say has performed the best?
we all agree that a fee like like would buy our club and change.
I am at an age when the best goal scorer I have ever seen, Jimmy Greaves, insisted that Spurs paid a pound under a hundred thousand as he did not want to be the first one.. My god what would he be worth today, in this totally stupid market place?
Love football, hate what it’s become!!

Well I take back what I said about him in his first season. Clearly I jumped the gun calling him sergeant Bilko.
Great , what would this season have been had he not spent so long out with his injury………
-
Yes, everyone who loves the game would wish him well
must have had something about him, even lasted as long as Dear old Warnock

A true Gent.
Many, many years ago our kids did a school trip to the training ground in Trowes. Ken was manager at the time, he made time for the kids and was happy to have his photos taken with them.
would that ever happen today"…………..no I don’t think so either.Happy days.

Webber's ego in the early days, made him think he was doing us a great favour being here.
Always said he would like to work abroad.
Well personally in think that ship has well and truly sailed.
As far as Liverpool are concerned, as much of a chance as Wagner becoming their next manager.
-
If Idah can’t cut it here, how will he do it there. A much harder Gig!
But if it comes good for him, and I hope it does, then what will that tell us about coaching at Norwich City?
-
The thought of Norwich getting promoted to the Premier League scares the life out of me.
So say all of us Chris.

In the block reserved for OAPs. Some off our more recent signings will already made their reservations for next season.

His true legacy…….
Not supporting his brilliant head coach who was given the smallest budget ever given to a newly promoted club to thePL.
Then took the heat off himself by firing him.
Wrong man chopped!!

It seems so similar that Rowe is out injured over winter transfer window.
So was Ashton over the same period.
Seems to me he may yet go, despite rising in value over the rest of the season.
But, Norwich, being Norwich………

But why couldn’t Farke keep them up?
One massive reason is Webber betrayed him. On the first promotion he was given the lowest budget for a newly promoted team in the history of the PL.

Agree, and who knows, if he is not playing in his best, and his favourite position extensively, what then, could make him unhappy and want to move on.
-
With Barnes manager often said it what he brings to the dressing room, and his leadership skills.
strange that, there’s silly me thought he was bought in as a striker, despite his awful goal scoring record. Still he was free, but probably on huge wages.
Personally I would rather have a goal scorer, than someone good in the dressing room. Games are won on the field, not in the dressing room.
-
I have posted before that playing Sara in the position he is at present is a complete waste of his undoubted talent.
Much further forward will help him to feed the forward’s , as well as scoring himself. Hardly likely to do either playing so deep.
Question is if 26,000 people can see that why can’t the head coach?
-
Why, not because I wish us to focus on the league, that us has gone. I want us to avoid being total thrashed and shown up for how far we have fallen.
Watching Liverpool recently I just dread to think what would happen. Even with their second eleven playing us.
But truthfully Bristol deserve their day in the sun, after they showed us up!

I seem to recall that in the year Huddersfield won promotion to the PL, they were the best team to visit Carrow Road that season.
Wagner was the manager, so then he was capable of producing a team that played enjoyable football to watch.
So what has changed in him to produce such dire entertainment here?
Is it, lack of decent players, or under orders, too cautious, lack of confidence, goodness only knows.
But something in him has been lost since then, doubt his self belief will ever be restored while he remains here

Agree, big question is why is Webbers wife still on the board. Would that happen in any other business?
on Saturday she was sitting with Neil Adams, and the new SD. Unbelievable.
would you as the new man want her ( and him) looking over your shoulder all the time.
Still never mind, as long as the main players in charge in Happy Valley, are still happy.

What's all this about. Usually it's a finger to the lips, but there are others.
Yesterday when Barnes scored he ringed his eyes in a 'glasses' type' gesture, presumably to say see what I can do so there! and presumably in response to criticism of him that he had read on social media (and perhaps even on this forum.) It was the simplest of striker goals, in any case, and nothing remotely brilliant.
Is it really necessary? Is it really grown up behaviour?
They are supposed to be professional adults, even role models, capable of rising above some of the nonsense they read, not get involved in it. Before the internet and perhaps when there might have been less individual scapegoating of a player during a game, player celebrations of a goal were far more dignified, although I did like the "slide" instigated by some Tottenham player whose name I forget.
I suppose it could also be considered mildly antagonistic during what is supposed to be a celebratory/fun moment.
Bah!
Capt Sir Tom Moore would have scored that simple tap in.
One of the oldest signings made by our club, sadly one of the most childish.
-
At least Warnock, unlike previous managers, will tell it, as it is.
Guess that’s one reason he won’t be here, as no one can rock the boat in Happy Valley!
-
Waiting for Zoe Webber to give him permission?
-
Would certainly suit our style of play. Side, side and back passing. He’s brilliant at that!
Farke doing Farke things

My guess he will get far better financial support. This was almost nonexistent after he performed miracles in taking us up on a shoestring.
Webber should have been the fall guy, not Farke, and what he is doing at Leeds is evidence of that.
