From when I''ve been watching city (2001 onwards), can''t say there''s been too many worth mentioning! For me, Matt Svensson was a very good forward, as was David Nielsen (at least before we signed him on a permenant basis). The best one though was Steeno, a superb crosser of the ball, and remember that scorcher from 40 yards? As for the worst, there''s about a million candidates. Of those who actually got a chance and proved rubbish, Jurgen Colin was terrible IMO (yet went on to play for Ajax? Strange...). Never thought much of Libbra, but the award surely goes to Big Dave Strihavka. Oh dear Peter Grant!

Well, we''ve been here before haven''t we. The timing of the decision is shambolic, no matter how much a relief it is that Gunny won''t be in charge any more. Why give him pre-season, why let him bring in 12 players, etc, etc, to sack him just 2 matches in? And more importantly, why the day before a feckin'' match? Why wait for us to thrash Yeovil, why not do it on the sunday morning? For all these reasons, and so, so many more, I, along with thousands of others, am not expecting the board to appoint the right man. I don''t care how much percentage of wealth they''ve put into to this club, Delia, MWJ and co have made ridiculously poor decisions time and time again. Why should they do any different now? Thanks for trying Gunny, you just weren''t up to it, much like your former employers. Who still, somehow, ''run'' this club.

Gary Doherty will never be that pleasing on the eye, and he''s bound to always have his critics for one reason or another. However, he''s a decent defender (he makes the odd mistake, that''s why he plays for Norwich not a premiership side), has been by no means our worst player in recent years, and wants to play for city. That''s good enough for me.

I''ll pay League One prices for League One football... Just like when I paid Championship prices for (poor) Championship football, and same with Premiership football. Just one question though Mr Foulger, why now? Yep, nice gesture ''n all. But why now? Wouldn''t that money have, possibly, been the difference between lower mid-table and relegation last year?

So down went the toon. Watching MOTD last night, I couldn''t help thinking that the BBC were showing Norwich, except they were in Black and White shirts. The similarities between the 2 clubs have been pointed out by many over the past few days, so I shalln''t repeat the majority of them. However, the relegation of Newcastle, Middlesborough and that of ourselves, Southampton and Charlton points at a glaringly obvious fact- that no-one in football is ammune from relegation. The reason? It lies at boardroom level. All 4 clubs, along with many more who have suffered the same fate''s over the years, are guilty of long-term mis-management of football clubs. The squandaring of funds, the shocking managerial decisions (to either sack, not to sack, or who they appointed), lack of ambition, etc. All of these are common factors in the failures of these clubs. So how to fix these problems? There always tends to be a ''constant''- someone or something who, no matter what else changed, was always there, overseeing the failure. Southampton failed to re-invest and sacked manager after manager- the constant? Rupert Lowe. Newcastle wasted ridiculous amounts of money, made some shocking managerial decisons, had constant boardroom unrest- the constant? Mike Ashley. There are many, many more examples to name. So we come to Delia Smith and NCFC. Like Mike Ashley, no-one can accuse her of not investing vast sums of her own personal fortune into the football club. But the decisions that have been made have been made while she has been in charge- she is the constant. If yesterday''s events in the Premier League have taught us anything, it''s that leadership at boardroom level needs to be strong for a club to succeed. Newcastle are an inflated version of us in terms of their great fanbase. If both clubs are to make it back to where they should be- they both need to remove those responsible for these failings at boardroom level.

Okay, so at long last the board ar making some changes. However, it''s clear they''re making the wrong decisions again. Here are some changes I''d like to see imposed over the summer... A change to the entrance music. Beautiful Day has bought us nothing but bad luck, as did Club Foot. I say a potential promotion season needs promotion music, which I believe was One Vision by Queen back in the good old days of 2004. Change that rubbish half-time game. How about the stocks? I''m sure we could find (and kidnap) a few suitable victims. If not, how about a game of Delia''s Irregular Ranting Entertainment (DIRE)? A return to playing Daydream Believer by the Monkees before the match, surely we could adapt the words to fit Town''s new manager? Some new songs. Do we only have one song (or possibly two)? How about the board invest in the services of Andrew Lloyd Webber, or, more likely, Chico? These are the major changes that need making. Any other suggestions?

I''d be more than happy to wave my rebate. However, I don''t trust this board to invest in any meaningful way. So I shall be keeping mine!

Let''s hope their agents have been working hard. I feel sorry for any club who''s stupid enough to pay legal tender for the majority of our players- I mean who would want them?
