This has the feeling of the Man City game. Everyone's out no chance. We'll win time to throw some lads in let them take their chances. Nothing to loose.
But both games should be called off.

Which players do we have available for Sunday? Compared to Saturdays?

My pass expires 24th/12. Typical government crap. They build these things to be as user unfriendly as possible. Don't agree with the whole pass thing proves nothing I could just put a fake lft code in the app and I'm in.
I can still have and pass the virus on if I had a billion jabs makes zero difference. Life needs to go back to normal. And allow the people to decide what risks they want to take from extra washing hands masks, and what they conceive a risk or not.

Who thinks boxing day games will be off. Or at least to fans?

Funny how the only game survived was the 1730 main TV game. Money speaks...

We may as have been empty the atmosphere on Tuesday was the quietest I've heard us be in years.
Guess the postomment gives Deano more time to look at videos and get us playing well and will help recuperate the team playing levels a bit. Hopfully fans will be allowed in boxing day. But I have a feeling Tues was the last game we'll see in person for a couple of months.

1. A virus that has taken many lives and will continue to do so irrelevant of what measures we take.
2. An opportunity has been seen to capitalise on such a moment and introduce permanent measures that people would never dream of adhering to in any other circumstance.
Having had the virus, I’m far more concerned at the response by governments around the world and the level of overreach into people lives. And the utter contempt they hold for us than I am of the virus itself.
I agree with your thoughts. I'm sick of hearing how covids caused school children to miss school, caused people to loose jobs, buissiness close.
Covid caused none of those things it's the over reaction of policies to prevent us from catching a what? Remember back to Feb 2020 we was being shown videos of overcrowded hospitals in 1 Town of Italy. China going in to mass lockdown as it was portraysd bodies was piling up.

Science has 2 or somtimes more side of an argument. All we're being shown is their side. Omicron isn't the problem currently. Delta is, but most are vaxxed against it. The facts I've seen prove this. So with most of the population vaxxed against Delta we don't need to worry. Omicron hasn't yet had a single death nor hospitaliations, they argue that's due to Africa life expectancy. They have some population whoes over 70 who. Has caught the Omicron variant. But most of their populations health is far worse than ours.
If you're concerned about mixing with others then stay home. A vaccine doesn't stop you or anybody else catching it and passing it on. But just helps stop the worst of the virus but yet again doesn't completely stop you from becoming seriously ill or worse. So tell me what the passport is for. Home tests only work if carried out correctly and your body is expelling the virus at the time of the test. It's too reliant on you doing it correctly.
Some precautions should be made wash hands. After the big events avoid entering or coming in contact with vunuable people or not enter these or other events unless absolutely necessary.

But like the flu I don't see it required to get further vaccine. For the vast majority of people in vaccinated its a very minor illness. I understand the risks ect... And it should be your judgment to do what you think is right. In wouldn't go anywhere if I was ill and covid is the same.

At the moment is is spreading mostly in the younger members of our society and of course South Africa has a much younger demographic than the UK. I am not overly worried by the new strain but I am not complacent about it either........
Life needs to continue as best as normal. Covid isn't the only killer. Most are now either vaxxed or had a version of covid. We're living in a massive science experiment. What happens if we open up and let the virus run it's course.
Previous if I was ill I'd stay away from others and this is no different. Like other bugs you can carry and spread without knowledge. Give the boosters to those who need and want and see what happens. People will then take their own judgment and take the risks in life as they see fit

Saturday was refreshing. Tippy tappy works great if you have better players than the rest. But Saturday showed hoofball can be just as effective. But I hope we don't become a lump it long side. If it keep us up this season great. But next season hopefully we'll be better equipped for what ever league we're in.

I think first half we was soo bad as it was the first time we played the managers new tactics and we didn't have much time to practise in training. Luckily Smith realised this was smart enough to tweak at half time. But what worried me most was the long balls. I hope we go back to playing a mixture of passing out and long balls. Although several long balls did give Southampton somthing to think about

At least he doesn't have to play him game one

Tomorrow would make more sense than making any announcement on a Sunday, but who knows.
What tweet?

Which 7pm, this week? Can be any

If it was then surely the club would of announced it by now? Just wondering if this is all media hype. And we're actually after someone else?

Mark my words. He is now involved in his second season struggling to make a mark at the top level. He might hold down his place under Steve Gerrard, but I think he is on borrowed time. I know people will disagree, but wait and see.
Agree, he's a fantastic championship player. But I very much doubt he'll make it in the prem.

Or maybe the Smiths are selling the club. Farke had to go prior to the take over new owners announced soon then announce new man. Anythings possible.

Not sure how I feel on this. But guess it's a free hit for him. Will be confirmed later/tomorrow morning.
-
I think from his body language he knew he was about to be told he was off or even already knew.
But the last bit got me saying I can't garentee that we'll stay in this league. Want a manager to believe we'll stay in the league. Maybe he knew the challenge was too big for him. The board saw that and so did the players hense the no shows this season.
Timing was cruel but time for a change. If we lost the next 2 games the fans would be saying we lost the international break too try and fix this.
For once Im relieved the club acted early enough into a season for the new man to make a genuine difference to the season. It will be a free hit keep us up he'll be a hero. Relegate us then the fans knew it would come anyway.

Time game called off?

What's the latest possible time this game could be called off? I think the last round there was one 3 hours before kick off
