1. Rubbish. They did what had to be done. Putting the same team back out at half time is one thing, but then telling the press post match he wasn''t sure what went wrong, or even explain why he did that?

3. As much as the Capital Canaries were maligned on this board, when Delia asked if they felt sorry for Brian Gunn, the deafening silence that followed was the tipping point......
4. Good first half of a decision. Gunn has proven he isn''t up to the job we need done. The proof of board competency will be what happens next.
5. "Most of the goals that where scored today where long direct balls to Colchester Target man flicked on to pacey strikers, wingers that tore holes into us" So what''s new?
6. Yes, without the mythical multi-million pound investor, we have little choice but to pursue the path that we are now following. Time will tell as to the quality we have here, but team spirt and understanding just what the other player(s) can and can''t do can really help close the gap on teams that on paper have more "star" quality - i.e. like us last year.
7. " Do they want to see Norwich do well or not, its like they have there own little power trip where they want the club to fail to prove a personal point! " Who knows? But I do know that their "nah nah nah, you guys are a bunch of idiots" attitude deserves shoving right back up their ****. Of course people are talking up THEIR team, it what FOOTBALL SUPPORTERS do... cue the DELIA LOVER and SHEEP comments....
8. One thing that struck me as summing up a "push over" style of management was the Summer after we were relegated from the Premier League, Francis buggers off to Wigan - as it was closer to London right? As we had him on a long term contract at the time, we could have sent a message to him and anyone else wanting a free ride on the club by telling him he could go play in the reserves until his attitude changed.
9. "because if he doesn''t and signs, I fear this will be a real kop-out for Gunn." We''ll that''s the key point, nothing wrong with signing the guy, but is he THE solution, or just a PART of the solution?
10. There, that''s the terrible result out of the way then.. guess we can now look forward to running away with the Division
11. Interesting that this thread was WAAAY down the page... Also glad to hear that we have should also have another left back arriving..... so right back and striker(s) next?
12. 49 .. I played against Justin Fashanu once... lets just say he was a lot better inside right than I was left back...
13.
Any advice for Safari - having the same quotation problem...
This is very annoying - it looks fine in message preview but messes up when posted...
14.
There''s a compatibility button that should sort out your quoting problem OTBC
There is, is there ? ... On Safari / OSX ...
15. Any advice for Safari - having the same quotation problem...
16.
I''m not saying that we will do well or a few decent pre season wins will set us up for the season, besides we have to play the ''bigger'' teams yet. But I think the way that Gunn is looking at players and getting them in for trials is a good start, this may have something to do with the fact we are skint, but even so, getting in some unknown players in and seeing how we get along with each other is a good thing. I still have a good feeling about the season ahead, Gunn was not my choice and we should have got someone else in, but he is here and there is nowt I can do to change that. I hope that he does very well, as that means we will.
Anyways, back to the subject.... Agreed. I was really disappointed with the appointment of Gunn, however he is who we have and the team being built now at least means we will have a group of players we can call our own, and I''m hoping we are beginning to see the talent pipeline re-built.
17. Apologies again to Mushroom and all others who want to talk about football; however obtaining at least a degree of freedom to post an opinion about NCFC without a verbal mugging from the thought police is hopefully worth the disruption.
18. "But then, if you can''t speak Spanish" Oh just keep digging ... Do you even know where Texas is ? Probably not based on the above comment.... And (apologies Mushroom) all totally irrelevant to discussion of NCFC.
19.
Don''t worry American City fans, you have just fallen foul of the Norfolk approach of "you int from rewnd hair, you doont spell prarpa, bloody Yanks etc etc etc". I for one go to the states every year, and have found American''s nothing less than very genuine and extremely welcoming. Your opinion on City is just as valid as the Mr Norfolk "never leave the county" types.
On the whole, I agree Americans are a pretty friendly lot. But I wouldn''t go calling anyone around Texas a Yank though, not if you value keeping all your teeth that is. However, I think you will find that almost everyone posting about NCFC from States-side already knows the best way to Windum, or where to find Cossey, Possick, Haysburra, Sallus or Garblesham.
20. Southampton (46 games is a lot to over come 10 points) Millwall Norwich Leeds Huddersfield Bristol Rovers
21. We''ll know the quality of this squad soon enough, but I agree that the emphasis towards a younger squad of hungry players, rather than signing 30+ has beens and teenage loaners is to be applauded.
22.
Well siad sir, could not agree with you more......if Clingan wanted to stay he would NOT have spoken to Coventry and ACCEPTED TERMS if he wanted to stay with NCFC. And if his agent hadn''t stuck his twopenneth in, he would be gone by now!
That comment is interesting, if its true the agent came in at the last minute and screwed up the whole deal, it demonstrates just how far those leeches have penetrated into the infrastructure of the game.
23. Oh here we go again.... this concept of a Norfolk born NCFC supporter living overseas really does seem to be taxing some brain cells over there. American''s know full well what they mean when they say Football. And you know full well what is meant by Soccer. Its was BlyBlyBabes who first used the phrases "big girls football" and "big girls soccer", so perhaps "sharp" isn''t the best phrase to be using in regard to your powers of observation? This is supposed to be a FOOTBALL forum, we have different points of view about things, so knock off all the insults eh?
