1. Neil said last night after the game that he is off on loan to Brighton. Although Benno hasn''t been playing, this is a bit surprising. Apart from Redmond and Murphy (Lafferty?) Benno is the only other natural winger we have, and if Redmond suffered an injury, he would surely be the natural replacement. He can also play just behind the striker, where we have just had injuries to Wes and VOO. I also think he could be adaptable enough to play at right back, but guess we have enough options there. Anyway, perhaps he just needs a few games and will come back and compete for first team, but I''m worried it could leave us short at a busy time of the season. Last night - great to be back to winning ways, even if last few minutes were tense. There really are some idiots on here saying Adams is tactically inept and we were poor etc. We should have won more comfortable, and 2nd half was one of our best performances of the season. There is still work to do, but we are nearly there. Hopefully at least one win from the two away games this week.
2. Same question here: are you genuinely selling or just frustrated?
3. Team for shrews? Rudd, Whittaker, Miquel, Cuellar, Garrido O Neil, Howson Odidja McGrandles Josh Murphy hooper Maybe???
4. How did Jos get on today? On radio norfolk they said he looked a bit off the pace today, at half time anyway. Did we look better with him partnering turner than we do Martin? I think Russ needs to accept he is a better right back than centre half!
5. For me, Forest, derby, Cardiff and Watford will be our main challengers. But on paper we have the best squad, no doubt.
6. If Lafferty was 4million... I will eat mY hat! Probably more like 1.5
7. 31st January 1991 v Swindon. Won 3-1 with goals from fleck and Gordon. Had just come out of hospital as a 5 year old after 4 weeks for operation etc.
8. Some people on here can''t be pleased. We have three 19 year olds there who have all just played excellently. Jacob and Loza was first starts, and only Josh''s 3rd I think. Good IMO to see them try something different. That''s what attacking players are about. If I were to criticise the Murphy''s for anything it would be giving the ball away a little too much, but they are only young. Only way they will improve is by playing games. Comments like ''who was by far the worst'' don''t help. Jacob was probably more of a threat than Josh in first half, and had a couple of very good shots. He also played the ball to Josh for his first goal.
9. I thought McFadden was superb for a centre back on debut against two physical strikers, won headers, tackles and look composed on the ball: he was even ordering other defenders about showing leadership too. Slipped once and made a wild clearance, but that''s just one of those things. I was really impressed with him.
10. Hi I''m not sure what pubs would be NCFC friendly, I guess if you don''t wear colours it would help. Just fade into background! There are a few pubs in the town centre which show the footy and are decent and a bit further from ground. The Irish one near bus station has sky (donnellys or something?!) and there is a pub called isaacs on the waterfront with sky too. I''m an NCFC fan but (unfortunately) my girlfriend and family are all from Ipswich so have been around the town a bit!
11.
This thread is an example how modern MSM has turned the young''uns into fearful pantwetters.
I''m 29.
12. With this hurricane coming in overnight and tomorrow, with a severe weather warning for wind and rain, I''m going to stick my neck out and say there will be A big anti climax and the game will get called off tomorrow. Hope not, as been building to it for ages.
13. Great news. Now ncfc''s longest serving player. Think there were a few times where that statistic would have been a surprise! Wes at the top of a diamond or just in behind a front man is always a threat.
14. With Laff injured, grabban 50/50 and Hooper eating too many pies, this could be his chance...
15. Fer isn''t going: given extended time off after World Cup, until 28th July.
16. Has anyone received their new home shirt yet? I got mine today and ''On the Ball City'' is printed at the bottom of the back of the shirt, but on the inside!? Is it meant to be like this, or should it be on the outside of the shirt? Anyone know?
17. If we are looking for a central striker with some strength and bottle and goal scoring experience in the championship we should look at these three. Ok, maybe Martin is a bit tongue in cheek - sure he is happy at Derby and they will likely get promoted... But the other two have really impressed this season.
18. I doubt they have the money. I personally think Howson will stay and be made captain, but if he goes I think it would be to a Villa, or maybe one of the promoted clubs.
19. I asked about 2 weeks ago if any were going spare. No luck. Still, hope you get one
20. I''ve decided to not go now, instead going to see Dagenham & Redbridge v Pompey on the same day. Random.
21. I''m not really sure why I am so desperate to go to this game, but wondered if any ncfc fan has decided that they no longer want to go to the game? Am looking for 2x adult tickets. Tried other avenues, including Viagogo, but need a Fulham fc membership for that. Anyway, know it''s a long shot but if you hear of anyone who wishes to sell, keep me in mind
22. Beat west Brom and maybe (somehow!) nick a point at Fulham and we are as good as safe. Can''t see Sunderland, Fulham or Cardiff picking up 10 points and they have to play a few other lower placed teams too, meaning they will win points off Evan other. However, IF we beat West Brom... It won''t be pretty!!!
23. Bump...! Anyone fancy selling two Fulham away tickets?
