1. It was like a greyhound race where the dogs are rounding the final bend and one just can''t resist trying to bite the dog next to it completely unprovoked.
 2. The guy is sick. Unbelievable. Needs to be banned from football for a year and only allowed back when certified by a psychiatrist.
 3. Bit of a long shot here but I had a trip last week and changed my return date so now have an unused Advance Single train ticket going spare. The ticket is from Gatwick to Norwich via London Liverpool Street. The restrictions are that you must use the 2pm train from Liverpool St on 20 June. Other than that you could start your journey anywhere along the route. I paid £20 and will consider any sensible offer. Willing to deliver if you''re not far from New Costessey or meet halfway to exchange the ticket for cash. Msg me if interested.
 4.
Talking of POTS, i don''t know who i would give it too. I just don''t think anyone has really stepped up to take the crown this season. No real standout... You''re suggesting Snodgrass, my neighbour at Carrow Road would give it to Olsen and some even suggested Bradley Johnson. For me.. None of these players have set the world alight this season - but no other player really has either. If the season were to end on Saturday I wouldn''t vote.
Good point actually. I''d back a plan to vote the 12th man as POTS as no player really deserves it IMO.
 5.
Do you think perhaps a mountain is being made out of a mole hill? He did a fist clench and then muted his celebration a bit, possibly because a 5th minute goal is a bit early to celebrate too much. Was our best player in the first half anyway, hardly doing an Etuhu and standing on the centre circle is he.
Entirely agree. Fist pump and then he was mobbed. Not everybody has to rip their shirt off and run the full length of the pitch. I don''t remember Wes being too flambouyant in celebrations in the past. Is this just an issue because he wanted to leave?
 6. Get ahead and then sing ''Is your grass greener?'' to both Lambert and Holt
 7. We are 14th so only 4 teams need to outperform and overtake us. Could be only 3 teams if Palace win their game in hand.
 8. I was saying before the game yesterday that my worst case scenario is for us to stay up AND Hughton stays. I really want us to stay up but I do not want another season of the boring football we have endured most of this season and the previous one. Sometimes we pull a performance out of the bag like yesterday, and if Hughton could make that the norm, albeit with a bit more cutting edge in front of goal, I''d be happy for him to stay. But the last thing I want is to start another campaign with Hughton in charge and to start every game trying not to lose, rather than going out to win.
 9.
Yes, let''s all blame RvW because we lost! He came on after 78 minutes ....... what the hell were we doing before then? No striker will ever play well with this manager''s approach to football. Grant Holt became a shadow of himself when this manager came to the club, is that coincidence or is there a common factor?
Not blaming RVW at all for us losing today. Just pointing out that he does nothing for us any day, let alone today when we are dominating for the whole time he was on the pitch (no thanks to him).
 10. Hooper has been good. Really good work rate and skill and has got a few really good goals. I wouldn''t criticise him at all at the fee we paid.
 11.
I''ve said it before and I''ll say it again, all of our strikers have struggled under Hughton''s management.
True but at least strikers like Holt and Hooper, and even Elmander, actually make a noticeable contribution. Playing Wolf is like having 10 men.
 12. Becchio must be seething to never even get a chance.
 13.

If we keep playing like we did today we''ll have no problems. Cardiff have got big, big problems if their two games against us are anything to go by.
Definitely agree with this. If we continue at the standard we played at today, we''ll be fine. The fear is that we''ll resort back to old ways. And to those who are denying it, we did play excellently today, we played much, much better than the average Norwich performance.
You seem not to have noticed that Cardiff have taken 4 points off us. How much trouble does that put us in? We obviously won''t play like we did for the last half hour today, unless of course we are losing again...
 14. Its easy to look like you were good when behind in the game. Its obvious that the opposition will defend their lead and you will get more of the ball as a result. We lost, that''s all that matters.
 15. Up until recently I''ve been sure that the doubters would be proved wrong and that The Wolf would come good. We paid anything from £8m-£12m for him depending on which reports you believe, so he must have some real quality right? But recently its become obvious that he is either not trying or he is just not up to playing in this league. When I watch him I see no commitment, lack of effort to win balls in the air, failure to anticipate balls coming through to him, easily gets pushed off the ball by defenders, no composure, can''t hit the ball well, the list goes on. This is not a lack of confidence, he makes little to no impact upon the team, even coming on today as a sub when he should be full of running. Seriously disappointing but I just don''t think he is up to it or Hughton is completely incapable of managing him.
 16. I think Fer is being slow to work back when Arsenal nick the ball off us. I noticed it in the lead up to the goal and now just again. Needs to keep up with Aresenal players breaking forwards.
 17.
Embarrassing?..................Yes, of course I am!
Corrected that typo for you Wiz
 18. That article is beyond belief. If Mr. Downes was trying to provoke a reaction then he certainly achieved it. Getting relegated is clearly the worst thing that can possibly happen to any Premiership club. We may well win fewer games in the Premier League and be fighting down the lower end. But the wins in the Premier League taste so much sweeter than in the lower leagues. Even in the first few games of the season we know how crucial 3 points are and each win makes me feel ecstatic knowing its a step closer to survival. Wins against the Elite teams are even better. Why is mere survival so important? Well so far it has just seen us have the most exciting summer we have ever seen. We have the power to sign world class players, and every year we survive we will see the strength of players brought in improve. Our club, who were just 4 years ago in League 1 and contemplating financial melt down are now in the strongest financial position we have had possibly in all of our lifetimes. The squad we have is simply outstanding and we are in a completely different class to the likes of Ipswich. I don''t even get that much pleasure seeing Ipswich lose now as they are just so irrelevant to us now. Relegation however would see us take a giant step back towards the level that Ipswich are at. Immediate promotion would be essential or the wonderful players that we now have would soon disappear. And trust me - they are wonderful players. Just compare our squad to any Championship club, bar maybe the just relegated sides. OK, so at the moment we do not have any realistic hope of winning the League, but we can at least compete in the Cups. Look at Swansea last year. That could have easily been us had we been able to beat Villa at home. We also have hope in the League - the hope that we will continue to improve, possibly along the lines of Everton who once battled relegation most years and now sometimes flirt with the idea of Champions League qualification. Our board are clearly ambitious bringing in the likes of Wolf and Fer, both of whom I have no doubt will prove their class. Succeeding in the target of improving 1 League position per season would see us winning the Premier League in just 10 years time - now that''s ambition! Anybody that wants to see relegation for us is very very misguided.
 19.

Sorry Mate ...you are completely wasting your time on this forum with any sort of genuine questioning of our position / status /tactics manager''s credentials on here ..... you will be shouted down by the "apologists" and the cliques of posters who all have their heads firmly buried in the sand !! I truly wish it was different ...but look at the responses that others have had ....enough to make you weep .... but well done for having a try at stating a thread .
Some fans on here like to make the point....''look how far we have come in recent years'' and all that. Apparently we should be happy and be thankful. Lets remember we are not new to the premier league anymore. Therefore we should be going to away grounds with a little more belief. We are an established premier league team or should be. Did anyone else think that the players self belief looked non existent yesterday and when you see players on the pitch moaning at each other, that is borne out of frustration and could be beacuse of the tactics employed. We may well see cracks appearing if we haven''t already in the players morale....

If I needed 2 seats i''d have a chip on my shoulder too...
And then you''d gobble it down without it touching the sides?
 20. I remember the guy who used to post as Karl Pilkington but I very much doubt that was the real Karl, as I''m pretty sure he managed to type a whole sentence on at least one occasion! Head like a feckin'' orange!
 21. Guess I posted this too early and it dropped way down the forum before anybody showed interest so just bumping it again as its a footy day.
 22. Due to a holiday and a wedding I am unable to attend the next 2 home games (Southampton and Villa) so my season ticket is up for grabs. Its a great seat in Block C, Row P of the Lower Barclay. If interested please PM me with an offer for 1 or both games. Preference will go to anybody wanting both games. Cheers
 23. Hi guys. I have a spare ticket for tomorrows match in the Jarrold stand. Will sell for 5 quid. PM me if interested. Cheers
 24.

2 threads on this but nobody gives an actual reason this plan won''t work. There are plenty of snarky comments, but nothing specific about why you don''t like it. What''s wrong with adopting the name Tigers? Is it any worse than Gunners, Red Devils, or names that aren''t even words like Latics or Pompey?
The thing is, Gunners, Red Devils etc. are nicknames, not part of the team name.
That''s right. What they are doing is like us changing from ''Norwich City Football Club'' to ''Norwich Canaries''. Anybody fancy that?
