  1. Nick Wright- We are ALL behind the team & I don''t think anyone is really moaning as such.  I love this club (as we all do) but last night was NOT good enough. We didn''t play well, the final ball was lacking and once again, half-chances were not put away. We were lucky not to concede 2 penalties late on in the game,(Worthy himself admitted it afterwards, which is why he was pleased with a point). Our midfield was ripped to bits by one touch football and 2 excellent saves from Greeno kept us in it, OK he was at fault for their goal but how many mistakes does he actually make?  Once again, this is not a moan, just factual observations from the game. 2. no need to shout mate. Never bet on your own team...lesson learned.
  3. Zipper....both things mate.  Regarding the Green mistake, the Norwich fan on fanzone had been slagging off David James & talking up Greeno. Never ever do that again mate, talk about tempting fate!!  I think Worthy hit the nail on the head though, when he said it was a one off error from
  4. Hi Rover. Nice to see you on the board mate.  Don''t count your chickens too soon is all I will say. You had a good result on Saturday but your biggest problem is consistency, which Blackburn will turn up? ps: fancy letting Jansen out on loan?
  5. Not that many Canaries down here in the West Country, so it is nice to be able to converse with all you fellow yellows!  PS:Anybody on this board from this neck of the woods? Fancy going to a game?
  6. Good points Banaman. I didn''t think we would be out of the relegation places but I did expect us to have a win under our belts by now.  As regards to a striker, I honestly don''t know who is the answer, maybe Roberts or Ellington from Wigan? We do need a goal poacher though, is there anyone coming through the ranks?  For your 3rd point, teams need  time to gel.
  7. As soon as he sent Ferguson & Watson on i feared the worst, we are not the biggest in defence and all it took was one chance for them to win it, we must learn from this.
  8. Yes, I did feel like crying. I was nursing a hangover from Friday night & rather than mooch at home, I decided to go to the pub and watch it. Being a Canary down here is a lonely enough experience as it is, but when a pack of scousers walk in the pub, all wearing Everton shirts & sit down next to you, you suddenly feel VERY lonely!!  I was so dissapointed at half-time but whatever NW says at half-time he should say before kick-off! What a second half it was, even the Everton fans (who were all very friendly & honest enough to admit we were unlucky) said they couldn''t believe it was the same team. Top marks to Leon,Hux & Holty. Helveg, still not sure about him as with Jonson. Francis showed his class again but our defence is too naive. Hopefully we will learn, and quickly because the 10 games we we all hoping could turn it around will run out soon. I have to say I think we are a BETTER TEAM than Blackburn,Southampton and WBA but they might be better equipped for the relegation dogfight.  However, I will keep the faith, I love this club.  OTBC
  9. Although I find it hard to get to FCR myself, I would like to ask everyone who does to really get behind Leon, try and boost his confidence right up there.  Forgive me if that already happens, I know we are the greatest fans in the world!!
  10. Notman(I know he was injured but arrived from Utd with great hopes). Healy-never really did it for us. Easton?
  11. At Carrow Road, 82/83ish, 1-0 down to Everton. We get a last minute penalty which John Deehan missed, amid the groans amongst the home fans came a shout of "yeeeeeeeeeesss", my dad, the Evertonian that he is suddenly realised his mistake & in his broad scouse accent declared "sorry, I taut deyd scored"! Away from Carrow Road, away to Everton 92-93. When the Sunderland fans joined us due to their match at Tranmere being postponed. They helped make for a great atmosphere that day and were happy to swop scarves etc. And we won 1-0, Chris Sutton scoring directly in front of us! OTBC
  12. Yep, Weston Super Mare is full of them. I watched the play-off semi-finals in the pub and the place was packed full of them.  I was the only Norwich fan in there and to be fair, most of them said well done & shook my hand but there were about 10 of them who wanted to do me and my car over.
  13. Ok then Peter, here''s a challenge for you. What would the Posters Eleven actually be going on number of posts to date? (Including the 5 reserves)
  14. We wouldn''t be moaning if we were in it, would we? Think of all that prestige & extra cash.
  15. I watched that match at home, but for the match at carrow road I was at a (ahem) gentlemans evening at my local. Whist the girls were doing their thing on stage I was sat in the corner glued to the telly! Does that make me sad or dedicated? Who knows but I can''t believe it has been 11 years since then!! OTBC
  16. I agree(sadly).  Once again, you are talking sense. I would be gutted to see him go, and I think Greeno would also be gutted, but no one player is bigger than this club and if it can help our progress and sustain our premiership position, then it has to be done. We have good cover in that position so we wouldn''t be left short.  But it would be a sad day.
  17. To Vicar in Green and Yellow: How about a word with the big man upstairs then?  Miracles do happen you know!
  18. I suppose it depends on how you define best player. In terms of crowd pleasing players you couldn''t go far wrong with Dale Gordon or Robert Fleck.  For consistency, what about Bryan Gunn or Dave Watson. Steve Bruce would be another choice.  For ruthlessness in front of goal, Kevin Drinkell or Mark Robins? Martin O''Neill was quality in midfield, but my overall winner would be Ian Crook, I don''t think we have ever properly replaced him. Great passing ability and what a free-kick too, he was also loyal to the club too.
  19. Is he trying to get himself a transfer away from St James'' park? He must have known that the cameras would have picked up his rant at Souness, he won''t get the better of Souness that way so maybe he does want to leave. I can''t blame him though, Shearer seems undroppable no matter how he plays so Bellamy will always be the one who is subbed. The door is always open Craig.......
  20. I don''t think he is physical enough to play upfront, maybe behind the front two he would do a job. He is quality in front of goal & he does cause defenders problems so I do think he should be accomodated somehow.  We need to stick with Leon IMO, he is getting in there and the way he set up Huckerby''s chance was class, showing his never give up attitude and vision and touch with the through ball.
  21. Stick with Leon. It will happen, he is getting in the positions for us. As DDiM says, "Keep the Faith".  OTBC
  22. Thanks who?2.  I would say the Prem so far has been a steep learning curve for all of us. Chances need to be taken in front of goal & even a small mistake can be punished severely. We have had the hardest start of all the promoted clubs and have had some good results. With a bit of luck we could have had the win we deserve for our efforts so far. Anyway, good luck to you guys too, and like you said I mean that starting AFTER the game!!
  23. Well, for all our sakes here''s hoping you have the perfect Birthday and receive all you wish for!! Many happy returns! otbc
