  1. Play. Believe me, if you leave the playing for a few years and try to get back into it later on, it''s difficult!! But it feels good to be playing again.
  2. The irony is that Liverpool may not be able to compete next season when they ARE the Champions.
  3. Freddy H,  of course I don''t condone hooliganism, I don''t get how you came to that conclusion.  It''s a moronic thing to do committed by the MINORITY, I was 11 at the time of Heysel, and it wasn''t until the other night''s documentary on C4 that I saw it in graphic detail.  Believe me, I was as shocked and horrified as anyone and in no way did I think the actions of those fans was justified.  I also own a DVD of Football Factory, which I like very much, doesn''t mean I want to behave like that. To Charlies Dad, OK, the United team wasn''t quite on the same level but there WAS criticism levelled at Fergie for it so it is not laughable, I don''t think Keane was picked and didn''t Ronaldo come on for Saha(?) who was injured?  If you think calling me a Scouser is an insult, then forget it, my Dad is from Liverpool & I am proud of that.
  4. He should have played Haman from the start though. How he expected Gerrard to cope with Seedorf, Kaka etc on his own AND get forward was beyond me. He got it wrong from the start, but I agree the change worked.
  5. Good grief.  I''m Norwich through and through but like most people wanted an English club to win. Simple.
  6. Technically, you are correct, but at the time Everton were flying, the only reason it looked close at the end was due to Everton''s end of season dip.  At the time Benitez probably thought all was lost.
  7. Palace still went down though, so it made no difference. Anyway, what would you have done, risk your best players when there was a champions league match in the week, when you know you weren''t going to make 4th position in the league or play a weakened side?  Also, United left Rooney,Ronaldo & Van Nistleroy were left on the bench against us when we won 2-0, no-one moaned then did they?
  8. To If I had the Winnings, I hope they win and dedicate the victory to the victims of both those terrible days for football.  It was the darkest period for British football, with run-down stadiums (Heysel) and inexperienced stewards and police at matches.  Time to move on because 20 or so years have now passed,it is a different set of Liverpool fans going to games now, and when you think about it, Norwich not being allowed into Europe for a few years pales into insignificance
  9. Come on Liverpool, do us proud tonight.  Half my family are scousers so I shall be shouting for them down the pub. Kick it off, like. Throw it in, lar. ''ave dat little scrimmage Sound.
  10. Paul, you are an angry young man aren''t you?  How have you survived all the stress and frustration of being a Norwich fan? What does ''on a bench, etc mean''?
  11. I agree.  Saw him a couple of seasons ago, he would add some width down that side, and you know he would play his heart out for us and not be someone here for a pay day.
  12. Green is not overrated, nor do I think he has become big-headed. I was behind the goal at Blackburn away when he let in the 3rd goal, which he let squirm under his body(on an absolutley SOAKED pitch).  After the game he had the balls to hold his hand up and apologise to the fans, for which he got a rousing rendition of GREENO, GREENO etc.  He has won points for us this season (remember Spurs away?) and if he does move on I will wish him the very best of luck and bear no grudges.
  13. I was just wondering who was the 1st person to post on this board & what was the topic?
  14. Who is going to be the first to start a new thread with "Press conference scheduled for....", only for it to turn out to be a wind-up then?  Around June/July last year I lost the will to live with all the rumours, speculation etc, but I was STILL checking every five minutes from my work computer!!
  15. Whatever does happen, the sooner it is all sorted out the better, then we can all move on and prepare properly for next season.
  16. Read this week that Everton want him for 4 million plus Richard Wright in player/cash deal.  I say 6 million on it''s own, we have enough goalkeeper cover.
  17. .. does the new season start?  For the real teams I mean, not those namby-pamby Premiership outfits!
  18. Hi vicar, nice to see you again!! Haven''t heard from you for a while.
  19. There''d be nothing else to post DD, do you remember last year and the expectancy? "Press conference scheduled for..." AAAARRGH!!
  20. He''s done well for Sunderland this season and I think he could be OK for another year.  There is talk round these parts he could come back to Bristol and play for City, but being ex-Rovers I''m not too sure.
  21. I HATE this time of the year.  Why would Ashton move to Rangers? He would be in a sub standard league, get overlooked for England (Sven has already said playing in the fizzy league is no problem though) and not be guaranteed 1st team football. The board would have to discuss such an offer, and although it may be tempting to take the cash, it could end up costing more in in the long run, if it means we languish in the fizzy for years to come.
  22. We finishe 6th in our play-off year mind, would you have turned down promotion back then?
  23. I would like to see Preston go up.  West Ham fans are too fickle, on 606 phone-ins this season they all wanted Pardew to go, then on last night''s programme with DJ Spooney, they all thought he was the bees knees!!  Plus one of my old work colleagues played for Preston in the 1964 Fa Cup final.
  24. I just had a look myself to see what their general opinion was regarding last night''s result.  Maybe I am getting old, but it seemed to be written in Chav!!  The thing is, I wouldn''t mind a bit of banter on here between the fans but not if that''s the standard of their forums.
