  1. See my ''Rumour on Sunday'' thread. Glad I posted that first!
  2. Of course he is!!!  Portsmouth will get Walker cheaper, that''s probably why they aren''t bothering with Greeno. Officially he is the 3rd best English keeper in the country so are we good enough for him?
  3. Worthy wants Louis-Jean from Notts Forest and will offer Holt plus cash. All I know is that he is a former French u21 international, anyone else heard this or anything further to add?
  4. Neil Hagendyk. 31 years old, married to Rachel, 2 kids (Leon 10, & Aylah 4), 1 overactive Jack Russell terrier(Cassy).  Moved to Sprowston when I was 7 & my dad was posted to RAF Neatishead, went to White Woman Lane middle school between 82-84, so as you can see have been an avid canary for 24 years!!  My dad was then posted to Germany and we finally settled back in the UK in 1992 here in (Very) sunny Weston Super Mare. I work for a company which sells car parts, exciting eh?!  Oh, and that''s me on the right in the picture, but will have a better photo tomorrow.
  5. Because I live in Weston-Super-Mare, which is currently basking in glorious sunshine, if you''re interested.... PS, Flick Fleck,  I remember that back-heel, didn''t he back-heel it as the ball bounced down to him, which meant that it went upwards into the goal? Little genius!!
  6. He gave away a lot of fouls last year for backing into players...         Reverse Parkin. Yes, it''s quiet at work today!
  7. In all fairness, Mystic Meg would have got that one right, hardly a secret was it?
  8. I''ve heard he likes to know other peoples business........             Nosey Parkin(er)... Sorry.
  9. Has no-one here heard of injuries then?  If he came here he has a better chance of playing in the Prem as well. There is more to it than being first choice straight away, you have to look long term.
  10. Plymouth or Cardiff away please. (Not too far from me!!).  It would have been nice if Bristol City had managed promotion as well, but as usual they managed to cock it up!!
  11. At the moment there is no-one better for the job than Worthy, that is a fact for the following reasons: 1. In his last season at that level he won it by a country mile. 2. LAST season would have taught him some lessons, he will be a better manager for the experience. 3. Most of the squad have recent experience at Championship level, there will be no primadonnas swanning around thinking they are too good for this level. It is a squad that Worthy has assembled so he knows them inside out. The proof of the pudding will be IF we get promoted how we fare back in the Prem.  If we fail miserably next season then I will doubt the guy, until then he has my full backing.
  12. Hopefully you will be proved right. I want Worthy to stay and I honestly can''t believe there are those who want him to go. You have demonstrated perfectly how to look at the ''Big Picture''.
  13. Has said today that he wants 3 of 4 more players following today''s signing of Roy Carroll. I have a feeling West Ham could be the sort of team that either Damo or Leon would go to, given their apparent liking for the London scene (Iwans book). I have a bad feeling about this guys.
  14. Sounds a bit tongue in cheek to me. Would like to see Gillespie here though as he is a friend of a friend!! Also, Liam Miller would be ideal for a scrap in the Championship, not exactly in Fergie''s thinking is he?
  15. Funny though it is, can you really blame him for being p####d off?
  16. Sad isn''t it, all through the season Off the Boil has provided us with decent posts AND been friendly with it, yet he has decided not to bother anymore because of the attitudes of some of our posters.  Well done.
  17. Hooray a positive post!!  Totally agree with you and I can''t wait for the new season to start.  Before anyone thinks that I think we will walk away with it, I don''t, but I am optimistic we will do well.
  18. If he hadn''t signed a new contract, he could have walked away and named his own price, (to a degree anyway), at least if he goes now the club will get some money, if he stays then that''s great as well.  I know he let in 78 goals last season but how many times was he beaten by unstoppable long-range efforts (Lampard, Cole, Gamst Pederson) and how many times was he left exposed by our defence?  No-one was slagging him off during the season were they, it was all Fleming this, Doc that and we were all grateful for the heroics of our keeper,(remember Spurs anyone?).  He only said he MAY have to move to cement an England place for the World Cup, not that he WANTS to go, or is unhappy here, you can''t fault a player for honesty but some people are so narrow minded they can''t see the big picture.  As regards scouts being fools, why is he in the England squad then?
  19. You can''t compare us to Liverpool, they are the Champions of Europe and one of the biggest and richest clubs in the world, they will always attract the big names and get them early. I feel we will left with the scraps from the masters table, with last minute signings of "journeymen" footballers. There are some good players to be had though who are free agents, Keith Gillespie, John Curtis & Lee Clark to name but a few, it''s whether we can lure them to Colney or not is the key,(it always seems to work)!!
  20. On Rob Green''s performance in USA "Is it any wonder Norwich conceded 77 goals this season? Half to forget against Colombia" Apart from a couple of dodgy kicks he did OK, a couple of fine saves and who could blame him for being a bit nervous at first? On the same page they also claim that Fergie is "keeping tabs" on Rob Green.
