  1. So who are we going to sign in January? Any one heard any rumours?
  2. I''m afarid Blackburn have just signed him - so no go there - still time though for someone else (or is there? I''m bloody confused with all this 5/12 deadline stuff).
  3. The Bas**rds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Hmmm... hadn''t thought of that Pickle. Agree that with no official announcement that '' we are not signing anyone'' there might just be a chance that NW is burning the midnight oil and still yet feverishly working on something. Whatever I''ll keep the faith right up until midnight when if no announcment is made I''ll just open a rather nice bottle of double distilled, special edition Dalwhinnie malt that I have been keeping for such sad times.
  5. 1st Wiz - please ignore Al''yellow and don''t let him get your magic balls all in a twist. Your ''gift'' is fully appreciated amongst the majority of forum users here - though we might sometimes doubt your wisdom, we find comfort in it nevertheless. Keep rubbing those balls and swinging that wand. As per my previous post I am not in entire agreement with your views ''who has to go'' but do believe there is ''no place for sentiment'' and am disappointed we have signed no one else as of yet. I will though ''keep the faith'' (love the phrase, just love it!). Hope NW keeps it with the Norwich board too though, as I do think with so much managerial uncertainty going on amongst other clubs, he will be an attractive proposition.
  6. Maybe we should set up a helpline? I for one am currently working my way to the bottom of a bottle of red at the prospect of no more rumours. Maybe theres an opening for some sort of football fans counselling service - anyone want in? Just think though make it through to December and the rumours re the Jan transfer window can start afresh , just hold on and ''Keep the Faith''.
  7. There was plenty of complaining going on in the ''Snakepit'' on Saturday Fley. Trust me it''s not part of the ground where we keep quiet and whinge later. Alas the Stewards and police, ignored us and indeed looked right through us. Perhaps lacking the training/ability to know how to deal with the situation? In my eyes it was simple - throw them out. Of course away fans will get hold of tickets in the home sections but if they can''t keep quiet, and indeed take the p*ss - then they have to go don''t they? Stewards , police , don''t they??? What is it I have missed? How on earth it didn''t kick off big time in the ''Snakepit'' on Saturday I''ll never know. Maybe thats a positive for the Norwich fans. Though I''m sure once it did ''kick off'' the stewards and police would of happily moved in with theri size 9''s. Am I being harsh/cynical - I don''t know? I do know the club need to sort this out, as however much patience Norwich fans hgave - it isn''t infinite.
  8. Keep the Faith indeed DD (don''t you just love that expression?) - I have to admit I was one of the people saying thanks Iwan but no place for sentiment etc... Though now I wonder, could he have done a job? Oh well, as others say - we''ll never know. I have a feeling Ginger Pele is going to win the hearts of us Norwich fans just like Iwan did.
  9. Have to agree with Gazza here 1st Wiz - please try to control Mrs Wiz and her use of your balls, a great many here put a great deal of faith in your balls and any misuse will cause alot of unrest. In light of yours being out of use I''ve been doing much rubbing of my own balls today (much to the annoyance of Mrs Scotty, who frowns upon such unethical things) but alas fear they are not quite as magical as yours. Neverthless they tell me we will sign at least one, if not two players tomorrow - though they give me noclues as to who - I shall go rub them yet again and see....
  10. All 3 scored already today. With Rivers new found goal-scoring touch also teams will be breaking the gates of Carrow Road down if this keeps up, to sign fringe/out of contract Norwich players!
  11. Thanks - Wiz - I''ll put my faith in your balls and await the unveiling of Harewood tomorrow. Flecky, this is renewed speculation on Richards as Spurs have now said they are willing to release him on a free.
  12. Without a doubt. Got involved on Saturday, always wanting the ball, and passed it well. Has to start with Francis in the middel - sorry Holty.
  13. Being linked with Nemeth and Dean Richards now! It''s bank holiday Monday, I have loads to do, my wife wants to go out and I''m glued to the machine , switching from one football site to another. Oh for tomorrow to come and an end to all this speculation. 1st Wiz, can''t you get your magical balls out and give us a clue? Tribalfootball.com - before anyone asks by the way.
  14. Was the horse grazing in Asda car-park ? Or being ridden by Carl Cort perhaps?
  15. Svensson: just not contributing and if we get another striker in , can''t see him making bench. Holt: Giving his all as always, but agree his all isn''t looking good enough, thought yesterday was his best game of the 3 so far though. If playing 4-4-2 though it''s got to be Francis and Safri I would of thought. McVeigh: Disagree on this one 1st Wiz - before Prem started would have agreed , but think he has done enough so far to stay in the squad. Jonson: Think he showed some better touches yesterday, and needs to be given longer to settle in - think he will come up with the goods in the next couple of matches and justify his fee. Mckay: reluctantly agree - another case of there being no room for sentiment. Especially if we do get another striker, leaving Ginger Pele competing with the Charlton and Fleming. Finally agree entirely about Leon ( anyone that doesn''t?)
  16. The boys were superb today, played their heart out and full credit to them. The ref - well Arsenal had him in their pocket - he was a disgrace - but then I''m getting used to that. The Norwich fans were an absolute credit to the side and the City - I sit/stand in the snakepit and both the snakepit and the Barclay sang their hearts out today (my voice is all but gone) -we need more from the South Stand and River though. Come on all. If we have to fight against the refs we really need to pull together and give our team a cauldron of noise to make up for the deficit. Generally though a great show form team and fans alike today. What dissapointed me was the Arsenal fans. Arrogance just doesn''t begin to describe them. They obviously have a super team, but I''m sure if we had the privalege of watching Henry,Pires et al , every week, and averaging 4 goals a game, we would be able to acknowledge some decent play from the opposition, not take the p*ss. At 3-1 down we were playing some great football and applauding our team - but a large part of th Arsenal contigent were ''having a laugh'' at our applause. Sad that despiute their position and ability their fans can''t appreciate good football and have developee an arrogance beyond any I have met in my fair few years as a football fan. As for the Arsenal who found their way into the Snakepit, well this post wouldn''t be accepted if I put down my thoughts. To sit their and again take the p*ss was unbeliavable. As was the response by stewards and police (ie none!). Seems like they can do what ever they want. All I can say is come on you Spurs. The ''scum'' result is always the first I look for at the end of a Norwich match, the Arsenal will now be the 2nd - god I can''t wait until you lose (even though I as a football fan I acknowledge the great football youy play). To finish on a positive - Norwich you were superb today, the team and the fans who sang their heart out, Premiership, Chapionship or whatever , I''m Norwich till I die.
  17. Will be at the game tomorrow , and would love to meet up with the rest of you for a bit of ''Dutch Courage'' but not sure if I''ll be able to make it in time - great idea though Gazza and if I can I will, if not maybe next time.
  18. I think your being a little harsh ''man''. Whilst I wasn''t among those who ''slagged off the doc'' I admit to being reticent about the signing with all the negative rhetoric eminating form the ''spurs camp''. However I think this is natural. I will get behind anyone in a yellow shirt who is giving there all for our beloved club, but it is natural to from opinions and have differing views on players, managers, boards, formations and so forth. This forum wouldn''t exist otherwise. The ''doc'' has been superb in his first two appearances for us and I don''t think you''ll find many supporters who think otherwise. ''Supporters'' though are people that care, and people that have huge and indeed ''desperate'' (and I don''t use that word lightly) hopes for our beloved club, Hand in hand with that goes strong emotions and passionate response to signings, rumours, results etc... Thats what make the ''beautiful game'' so far ahead of any other in my opinion. We have to forgive players the odd idiosncrancy so maybe we should forgive ''supporters'' in the same way and just all enjoy the great start to life in the Premiership and look forward to getting behind the boys and stopping that ''record'' expanding anymore on Saturday.
  19. Excellent player summary ny, would agree with most of your views, Green & Drury definately 8 out of tens but I would up Francis to an 8 also, thought he was superb, got stuck in , never gave up on anything and looked totally at home. Was our best player against Palace too, and in pre-season in my opinion. I think he and Safri could form a great partnership. Sorry Gary Holt, I''m a big fan, but don''t think you have quite enough for the Premiership and would like to see Dafri (when fit) given a go. Early days though.
  20. Keegans words sound more like an advertisment to me...
