1. I think every score prediction i have made on her is 2:1 norwich. So i will stick with that! For consistency reasons more than topic related! A combination of international and champions league games means i''m pretty sure some first team players will be rested. Blackburn undone them so i don''t see why we can''t equally have a go... and probably lose.
2. Brentford V Basingstoke Home win, probably horrific odds but i need to get my win ratio up! i''ve had some shocking results, DAMN U LIVERPOOL!
3. Liverpool took me out, what are they doing at anfield, 2 wins, 4 draws (or something like that). Swansea, no pts on the road in 11games and get 1 at anfield! i''ll put them to draw with united next!
4. check the links i''ve posted City1st. apologies on a post card to me, signed. i''m a binner. thank you very much, in your face.
5. JSLT - That was my point entirely, i have mentioned it twice on this board that all he produces is bile and perhaps to add to the thread discussion in some way. If you don''t agree fair enough say why without being such a pr1ck. I''ve produced evidence which entirely undermines his t0ss.
6. Could be! And i''m very happy with Norwich''s progress this season. I''m very wary of the final quarter of the season though. that will not change until May!
7. Rob Sims Your post takes stupidity to another level I dont think it does. you sound like someone with a chip on their shoulder. there is no requirement to answer posts in such a pathetic manner, if you have nothing to reasonably add or debate and instead just being pedantic and rude, stfu, no one cares. ""to go 10 points clear of a relegation rival" is perfectly sensible statement" It is not, as it presumes we will be facing a relegation battle. Evidence is against this. 6pts currently clear or relgation hardly suggests otherwise. it is a long season, particularly our last 6-8 games, talk to me in May. I think it will be a battle for every point. "and Lambert would say the same if you asked him tomorrow" That is something you have made up. I can only presume this is what he would say as see link below. documenting lambert saying it 2 years running at the same time of year (september - december) "The objective this season is to avoid relegation" Again something you have made up. no i havent. stated here by Paul Lambert after sunderland game. http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/norwich-city/news/survival-still-priority-for-lambert_4402.html and here the year before (re championship) to back up my claim this is what he is likely to say if asked tomorrow about city''s aim for this season. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/norwich/9313126.stm in your face you pathetic individual.
8. seems unduly confrontational City1st, though i have seen and said this before to you and should really just ignore your posts. "to go 10 points clear of a relegation rival" is perfectly sensible statement and Lambert would say the same if you asked him tomorrow. The objective this season is to avoid relegation. Once mathmatically guarenteed a place in the premiership next season (should that occur) Lambert will as he did in league 1 and championship will change his line to "we now will look at doing x". Probably something like finish as high as possible as each position is worth x ''000k / million. Early season form suggests blackburn will be one of those occupying the bottom 3. Hopefully Norwich will not be at any point but and most importantly, by may, be clear.
9.
Leicester v Millwall Home win. Strong at home leicester and Millwall struggling.
um i am awful at this - no wonder i never win accumulators! 0-3! whatever happened to leicester i dont know.
10. I can''t beleive you didn''t buy 2 shirts and get one signed. That would be a TOP christmas or birthday present for a young (any) canary fan! mind you i woul dbe willing to bet no perm markers would be available in store!
11. Vorm and Krul seem to be doing better in the fantasy league due to lack of clean sheets which is obviously not just down to ruddy. I have both Vorm and ruddy in my team! my allegiance to norwich is not helping my fantasy team performance!! We will need Ruddy to stay fit, in the form he''s currently in and not suspended! Big chance to get a clean sheet this coming weekend but Samba is a man mountain. Will barney and martin be able to cope at set pieces!
12. apart from everything that''s been ''discussed'' in the thread so far. the op in my opinion is wrong, norwich conceeding one goal at anfield is a triumph, regardless of how haphazard it may have appeared during the game and this result for me has been one of the most satisfying points we''ve earned in recent times. im absolutely chuffed to bits with a point, i dont think our immediate rivals for 17th spot will get a point there. incredibly proud! barnett was my man of the match, several crucial blocks & tackles. i love the fact holty got on the scoresheet and i am also impressed that lambert decided to go for it and keep morrison and bring holt on to try and get something when it looked like it could go horribly wrong! all in all as you''ve probably guessed, im elated!
13. Leicester v Millwall Home win. Strong at home leicester and Millwall struggling.
14. I''m going with 2:1 norwich, i always choose this scoreline as i''m ever the optimist we will win our game and fail to keep a clean sheet. i''m also going to put £10 on an norwich win, 9:1.
15. I have a chelsea home ticket stub for the game but i take it you only need away ones to get hold of a ticket for Norwich
16. It was going to be a difficult one to call, i went for 2:1 norwich not sure if it was this thread though. So not far wrong. The premiership is playing havoc with my prediction league on the fantasy league website. It is getting more like the championship, from 4th downwards you just can''t tell what is going to happen in any one game, apart from norwich will fail to keep a clean sheet! :D Ruddys stats all over the place! Swansea''s away form has been poor but that was almost entirely because of who they have played. From a neutral eye Norwich will have now cemented their away form as just poor. but we obviously know we are just good! scored 2 conceeded 12 away, not one goal conceeded at home. Stark contrast. I think Norwich and Swansea will be close all season.
17. Harry - i agree, obviously the idea is to finish as high as possible, though i think the general theme of the OP was "fans are getting carried away and talk about Europe after a couple of wins". We''re yet to find any evidence on the forum of this but anyway! You can always put in a reserve side into a Europa game, like Spurs etc. I dont think Norwich have enough players to put a full reserve team out though! Its perhaps the disruption of travelling days etc which takes lambert and his team away from the day to day training/tactical side of the first team. 2 days lost at least. So far the fixture list has been kind to us, we''ve had wigan, stoke, west brom (dissapointing!), sunderland, bolton and swansea. so 6 of 8 we would have been games we earmarked as "we can get points from these" united and chelsea away, perhaps not! As we''ve almost got 2 pts from each of those 6 (average, 1.83) we are doing great, however this is exactly what we NEED to stay up. Any place in May 17th and up will do just fine!
18. Good post LTS. I''d rather money was invested in the club than pi$$ed away on inflated premiership wages. Norwich have sold land to make ends meet and this cannot carry on forever. Investing in the stadium is permanent and creates an improved revenue stream. once it is in place, it is not expensive to maintain.
19. I haven''t seen anything about europe and norwich city? As mentioned above, Norwich have a difficult run in, we need the points now. I think it''s April where i can see us getting 0pts from 5 games! If Norwich maintain their current form i dont think we will be in trouble, lots of my friends who support various teams, arsenal, liverpool, tottenham, united and chelsea have all said they''ve been impressed and fully expected Norwich to be tonked. Both Chelsea and United games we were in no way outplayed just unfortunate, but they were away and thats just the rub. West Brom game is the only game i have been dissapointed with. At 8 games in, i''ll take that!! OTBC!
20. I read the last two pages and am none the wiser what point is being made. OP, it is great to see the board plan to invest in infrastructure of the club should the players on the pitch continue their upward march. The future of the club depends on it, will Norwich get 35,000 fans every week? Probably not, but it does give a larger revenue stream which will allow Norwich to compete against clubs from 7th to 20th. Rather than currently, we''re competing essentialy solely against 18th - 20th. They could encourage more away fans if they struggle to get Norwich fans to fill the seats or they can reduce prices to encourage more local fans. Lots of options.
21. I remember alot about Huckerby, not so much about Brellier. I''m sure both tried their best for Norwich when playing, one made a more obvious impact than the other, you can decide that for yourselves. Mungo''s comments can be filed under trolling!
22. lol! Doesn''t sound like shes from Naarwich. However in her next update she will be providing twitter links to current (and past) norwich players. Maybe she''s crackers and just made them up. @mulrynepubwithwhitley ?
23. 2-1 city, we won''t keep a clean sheet against them and i am desperate for norwich to win :D
24. I think he should still go even if he was banned for 3. Sadly he is our most talented ''forward''. the remaining 3 strikers should be able to cope with qualifying to the next stage, but again this is england. After watching the draw last Friday again, i felt complete disillusionment (spelling). I don''t know how england can take some very talented players and make the complete to$$. the euro''s will end in dismal failure at the 1/4''s if not before. Although a major tournament is not the time to completely ring the changes with youngsters whose confidnece could then be shattered. The next world cup campaign needs to drop the old guard and encourage the youth. hart (no competition) Jones, smalling, baines, cole(eugh), young, gerrard, willshire, walcott (learn to cross consistantly), bent, rooney. and whoever else you care to mention. Rooney''s temprement in england games is not helped with the ''tards around him, stick young jones, smalling etc and it may well help.
