1. He won''t go back there, or West Ham, after the comments he has made about the way the clubs are run... and why the managers left them. But therein lies a warning for NCFC. Get a rich tycoon to invest in the club who wants it as their plaything and... That''s one thing you can say about the Smiths - they don''t interfere with the players the manager chooses. Perhaps they should have done in the past (Hamilton... Grant...) but that''s another thread!
 2.
It''s another loan, she isnt just giving it to us. No doubt she intends to convert it into shares to increase her majority control and attempt to get her grubby hands on more of Cullum''s hard-earned millions that should be invested into the team. Of course team investment if a foreign concept to the chef from Hell....
Can someone with more knowledge of PLCs explain why you can''t just give money to a club, hence the loans. It''s a legal thing isn''t it. Either way, she''s put her money in. Cullum may be a good thing, but I''m of the view that whay should Delia & Michael just walk away? Cullum can easily afford to buy them out if he wishes.
 3.
So in roughly 40 games over the last year, (hattrick aside), he''s scored 4 goals.
Hat-trick aside? So, 3 goals in 3 games counts, but 3 in 1 game doesn''t? Good job Dion didn''t score a hat-trick for us then, that would have made him crap, by your logic.
 4.
While they are idiots for turning down Cullums money which would have seen us safe, they have done a very good job of ensuring we stayed afloat unlike a team like leeds or southampton.
What offer did they turn down exactly? ''Seen us safe''? Is that the same take on things that saw the EADT print ''Premiership here we come'' when Ipswich announced they had 12m to spend? And which division will they be in next season? My point is, it''s not a huge amount of money, and once it''s all been spent... what next? If Cullum could guarantee what would happen next, then I''d be interested, but until then, and while he says he wouldn''t put any more money in... I wouldn''t take that gamble and I think the current board is right not to take that gamble. Bravo win or die? Really?
 5.
According to city website we only have bell on loan http://www.canaries.premiumtv.co.uk/page/TeamHome/0,,10355,00.html
Which seems to conflict with this: http://www.canaries.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetails/0,,10355~1345262,00.html I would think, given that he was never a Leicester player, that this is some sort of error. I think it reveals the fact that the club site is part of a national network of websites, and that someone has moved Bell from Leicester (where he was on loan last season) to us without undoing the Luton-Leicester link first.
 6. Just as sobering a read is this http://wednesdayite.wordpress.com/2008/07/25/stranger-danger-the-ipswich-town-view/ I''m not a Delia sycophant, and I know next to nothing about Cullum. But I am saying to those with the offensive flame-licked ''Delia Out'' sigs... Be careful what you wish for...
 7. Some poeple on here would call them an ambitious club, having a wage bill that big. It seems to me that every club is treading a very fine line between spending enough to get promoted or go bust. It''s a tough call... It just goes to show how well run our club has been over the past few years. We may have struggled on the pitch, but I don''t think we''ve been in real danger of doing a Leeds. The dimaying thing is, while every fan wants promotion, it may just be the fastest route to oblivion. How many have gone up, then crashed and burned?
 8.
Yes very interesting they rammed that point home.  It meakes for an interesting few weeks.  If we now only sign cheapies and freebies then you know we are totally broke.  If we sign 2 decent strikers (read 2-4 million) then you know we arent!
Having just read the press release regarding players - you realise just how desperate the board are feeling and how desperately they are clutching hold of power. Yet the PR could backfire- it makes it sound like there is NO transfer budget (which is palpable nonsense for a raft of reasons) and it assumes fans are stupid. I mean so what if they bought Stefanbovic?- 20million would have bought many more besides.I actually feal a little sorry for them- they cannot hope to compete with Peter Callum and he knows it. That is why he waits in the wings...I suggest they eat humble pie and work with him- else they could really feel the heat soon. That press release on the offical board really does smack of fear and desperation....hmmm all is not steady at the helm I fear. And it shows they are very worried as to fan backlash..........I feel the season will prove interesting in many ways,

I''m curious that you think decent strikers are only ones that cost £2-4m. Hoolahan for 250k or Halmosi for 2m? Lisbie or Lupoli?  If you go on value alone, then Hucks and Dion were crap, right? I''m not trying to make a wider point, just that the value on a player isn''t necessarily an indication of how good he is. How many players in that price bracket have Ipswich signed since their sugar daddy came in? Do you think they had their sights set as high as Lisbie?
 9. Not sure we''ll see any more at the back - we have 8 now, including Spillane. We have at least 8 across the middle, so it''s just a reserve keeper and strikers now. Ameobi and Lupoli up front would be a good start, with Cureton and Martin on the bench. Well, that would give us 2 for every position, which is what most managers aim for. It''s hard to attract players to be third choice I would have thought. Taylor won''t come, why would Birmingham sell him now, if they didn''t want to last year - he''s proven at this level after all.
 10. It feels like Roeder has been playing his cards very close to his chest these last few weeks. Or has he? I looked carefully at the articles about players we''re being linked with on the Pink ''Un site and every one is a second-hand report from some other media source. It was Radio Norfolk that broke the Stefanovic and Bell medicals happening, Fiorentina that announced the Lupoli bid, Linfield''s website that talked about Thompson and so on. I can''t find a piece of recent news where Archant have been the first to know. Which makes me wonder whether they are being frozen out by the club at the moment. And who could blame them.... but it does explain why it has felt so different these last few weeks. I think Rick Waghorn has more insight into what''s going on at the club than Archant do at the moment....
 11. I haven''t got much money, but if PC is bidding £1 then I''ll bid £1.50. Can I have my controlling stake now please? Come on Delia, sell it to me, you know it makes sense. If you cared about the club then do it, walk away. I promise I''ll look after it and put an undisclosed amount of money into the transfer budget. I may even tell Archant the truth about what I''m doing....
 12. I''ve not posted on this subject until now, but the way I see it - Cullum is offering to put 20m in for players in return for a controlling interest, but without paying for that controlling interest. A bit like the Wolves chap who bought the club for £10 on the proviso that he invested £10m or whatever in players. That''s fine, and it''s a fair question to ask Delia to walk away from her £9m investment by ''selling'' her shares for next to nothing. BUT, remember that the fans own 33% of the club - and I was one of the ones who put up £100 a few years back for some shares. If Delia''s shares are valued at practically nothing, then so are ours. We don''t have to sell of course, but there are a lot (thousands) of small investors involved in the club and Delia has to respresent all of them. As I recall, the Turners bought a modest number of shares and then gave the club a 2m loan. They got a seat on the board but not a controlling interest. I would imagine that Cullum could do the same, but he has said he wants a "controlling interest", so he''ll need to own, what, 51% of the shares?
 13. Yes, all this is very destabilising. But I put a large part of the blame for that at the door of Archant. They don''t care about the club, only selling papers - remember that. It''s easy to whip up a storm like this on the back of a few comments, but turning the supporters against the board is a pretty nasty thing to do even by the standards of today''s media.
 14.

If anyone else has any thoughts in the meantime please post. I would like to hear neutral views.
Kathy, re. plans to put a new tier on the City Stand.  Was this raised by a member, or did the board bring it up?  What is the current timeframe (they''ve been talking about it for the past year)?  Where is the money coming from?  A loan of £9m would bring the debt close to £30m.  How many extra seats would it provide?  What was said, if anything, about team strengthening and the transfer budget? Haven''t we done enough building for the time being?  If the purpose was to provide extra revenue, there''s precious little sign of it and meanwhile a substantial slice of our income is disappearing down the drain on servicing the debt.
Easy one that: the Board have always said that the extra tier could/would happen only once we are established in the Prem.
 15.
I give him no games at all I''m afraid...  I want the board OUT NOW!!!
Smudger, we''ve been here before. Who''s job do you think it is to sack the board? Who employs them? No-one. They own the club. For them to leave,  someone else would have to buy the club, and I don''t see a queue. Have you got 20m quid to have a go with?
 16. Paul Merson on SSN: "Norwich obviously came here with a game plan and it''s working" "Norwich have dominated the game, and if it wasn''t for Taylor would have been 3-0 or 4-0 by now" "Norwich''s defence is rock solid, I can''t see Birmingham getting back into it"   Is this the same Norwich I''ve been watching for the last few years???
 17.
Just sit back & hope we don''t relegated ,lets be realistic we ain''t premership material at the moment.Any of you out there who are hoping for more get your blinkers off.Peter Grant is no way gonna turn this team round untill, we get some full stone wall defenders. Its a desgrace at the back how meny times we gonna conseed goals in injury time. Just lets hope grant has the sense to sign on two good defenders & soon please
I think you''ll find that blinkers are used to keep focussed on what''s ahead and not get distracted by what''s going on around. So keeping the blinkers on, keeping focussed on winning games and points, might seem like a very good idea right now.
 18. Smudger, Cluckin, etc., will you please, PLEASE suggest some alternative. I am hanging on your every word, searching your every post for some ray of light that will guide us forwards in these dark satanic times. Please tell us who the manager should be, please tell us who should buy and run the club to make it great again, like it was once upon a time 57 years ago. Where you lead, many of us shall follow.... but where will YOU lead us? (Here''s a thought: do you fancy doing what the Wimbledon or Man U fans did and setting up a whole new club, and overtaking Norwich City in a couple of years time to become an established ambitious Prem club? Would you be an ambitious owner/manager? I''d need to know, before I ditch my season ticket and follow you...)
