1.
I haven''t got a bet on, but I really fancy Tricky Trickster.  Hope I am not banging my head against the wall later.
That''s my best pal boss''es horse...he''s spent 350k on the beast in the last year mainly gearing up for this race...nice pocket money to have around eh?
 2. I''d take Holt off at HT...it doesnt matter if we lose/draw this and i''d rather have him for 2 games rather than 1 half. give elliott and johnson a go...we are still 7 clear if it stays like this.
 3. 3-0...MK are decent but have too many players out.
 4. Shame he''s retired. He was decent but not amazing. East Enders was never the same after he left too...he gave life to Dots character...I havent watched the awful program since.
 5. I witnessed "that" game last season in the flesh along with every CAFC away game (even at selhurst/upton park/etc) since the late 80''s...and i''ve only seen us win once! once! (Kevin drinkell scored!)
 6. As I''m based in south London and the beam back is only in the lounge at Cara I think its only fair that 2 of you with tickets hand them over to me and i''ll get you both seats at the said beam back...with a few pints and a packet of pork scratchings thrown in for good measure. very generous - i''d say. "I''m a fair man, Mr Fiddlers me name - Pound!...thats it, £1"
 7. I''m 5ft 10", about 12 stone and under 100 posts in over 4 years which i''m quite pleased about. I also like girls with Belfast accents and the smell of marzipan, but thats another story entirely.
 8.
As someone who knows City-til-I-die personally I can assure you that you would pee your pants if you were to meet him in a darkened alley. Now, here''s a thought, why don''t you meet us outside the ground before Saturday''s game so that you can demonstrate your rapier like wit at close quarters? Time and place to suit you.
damn! I already have? Not at the MK game, but orient away or the kent pikeys on the 24th will be fine.

 13.
16-60 Now be quiet and go back to watching Star Trek
finally someone on here with a proper sense of humour.
 14.
He was head hunted by Arsenal so I assume he must be half decent..
"assume" is the key word there! I''d guess the same but I wouldn''t have the foggiest. Did he leave Arsenal? or did they get rid?
 15.
Its good new top class Physio
I can understand that most of us have opinions on players and formations based on watching/playing the game but how on earth do we know if a physio is "top class" compared to another? He may be great? He may be poor, i wouldn''t have a clue...I dont have a doctorate and he hasnt poked me, prodded me, or rubbed me up whilst I layed on a table...is there something you aren''t telling us Duke? ...seems like most people on this forum chat a load of old blarney to me.
 16.
anyone aged over 16 and casually wearing the new strip either to games or otherwise needs shooting. Grow up.
see folks, and you thought I was harsh! Get in Neil!

 18.

When I phoned about Col Who tickets I kept getting told that the ballot was not finished, think that was their polite way of telling me I had not got them, which I didn''t. Hope they are telling the truth this time for your sakes.
Think its time they scrap application forms and sell tickets in normal way, yes have priority groups but first come first served in those groups, and the fans would know from the start, instead of nail biting and looking for the postie
Why all this written application/ballot/tombola thing anyway...surely the online ticketing program could just have a bolt on? its all a bit village/1995 to me.
 19.

The reason for the system is quite obvious isn''t it? Whilst I''m sure CAFC would love the ground to be packed, they still have obligations to try to prevent away fans getting in the home end.
Granted. But what if you are a Charlton fan who lives away and goes back to visit, and things like that? And if you need a 3 game history, how do you get to a game in the first place? [:|]
I think they only implement the 3 game history where the away end is a sell out, and if you''re a charlton fan that lives away and goes back to visit, why don''t you have purchasing history?
Yes, thats correct. I would have though the away end held more than 3k though? also, It does make you laugh that they have 7k seats they cant sell as the new (12? years old) stand cant take both home or away fans unlike our "sectioned" jarrold stand. Silly club.
 20. I reckon they''ve spent all morning taking their socks & shoes off to help them count.
 21.

If it goes to tribunal in summer, could we get a points penalty for next season?
Carrying on from another thread, I will lay you any price you like that that will not happen.
I dont think we''ll get a points penalty either....but "any price" I''ll have £1 at 10000000/1 please. Not quite the 14/1 I had on us to win the league but worth a punt.
 22.
Whitbread has the potential to be one of City''s best ever centre backs, according to Ian Crook. Well this is what Chris Lakey quoted Crook as saying on Radio Norfolk. However, Ian Crook''s knowledge of defending could written on the back of a stamp. He does know about passing though, and we do need defenders capable of distributing the ball. On Saturday I thought Whitbread got outmuscled too often and went wandering a bit too much. Match experience and time at the gym should improve him.
bar the obvious mistake on saturday Whitbread must have been rusty (as you''ve all said)...I''m sure he''ll work out fine as just what we need. From what i''ve seen of him and to copy the jist of another current thread, he''s got the Callum Daventport''s about him (although not as fast) and that ain''t a bad thing.
 23.

Let the rigging commence!!
haha c''mon Goughy and the boys and girls in the ticket office... we have tickets to secure in the home end if unsuccessful! [:-*]
You''ll need access to a CAFC "red card" to get a home end ticket...and at least a 3 game history. Christ knows why, CAFC holds 27k and the most they had all season is 20k and its not like they dont need the money is it? maybe they are bussing in all their "real" fans from mid-kent that deserted them since they stopped playing Manure and Co every other week. Worst fair-weather club just behind Boro''.
 24.
Would love to have Szcezny as GK, if we can''t hold on to Frazer! But he''s an Arsenal youngster so thats a utopia for you. Meanwhile Lambert, Kisnorbo, Puncheon
Defo RF...would love Szcezny with next season if we don''t get FF again. Heard he was mustard from a few gooner pals and my Millwall "assosiates" seconded that after the brenford game on friday. "best keeper we''ve seen down the new den for years". yes please. Maybe we should ask our friend Glenn to have a word with his friend Wenger. hehehe.

" Good call! You got me going...! Anyway, the answer''s no, on both counts, although insulting people is one way to do it :-) E.g. check out my reference to you in another thread
hehehe...gotta love a bit of banter...I couldn''t give a monkies who wears their colours and who doesn''t am just trying my best to be a "badcop" poster on here. I thought I would match online the looks I get when I sing OTBC at the top of my cockney accent home & away. Not my fault my family moved down here 30 years ago. I''ve been called a "glory hunter" by my own fans...straight up...er? Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, etc on my doorstep but I choose to travel 240 miles there and back to follow the team of my birth. As if I havent got enough greif from cockneys over the years? supporting too...it''s a funny ol'' game saint. See you down at the O''s chaps!
