https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68801570 LCFC get away with it...for now. Great news if they go up in the automatic places, leaving the binners 3rd, to get smashed as usual by us. Even better if we win the POs and LCFC get a big points deduction next season. Lots of wishful thinking in there but i'm ever the optomist.

Cov lead… and other games
spencer 1970 replied to Creedence Clearwater Couto's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
It does raise a question that the binners played the loan market very well, bringing in Hutchinson, Moore and Sarimento...all of whom had a part to play today. Whereas we brought in Van Who?donk? ...who's done, well, nothing. -
Rowe; In jail if not for Webber?
spencer 1970 replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
What an odd man Webber is?! He seems more "dinosaur" on comments like that. Think of it this way, it's great news he's already gone, as if he made those comments whilst still in his old job, he'd have got the bullet which could have left us in a tight spot during the run in. Why are we giving this ex employee so much airtime anyway? Cheerio 👋🏼 -
I know, all a bit disapointing really. 😶 Also, it's odd how Delia is a supporter of the charity, but NCFC isnt in any "offical club" way. My view completely CC, i was looking to back it, but not without knowing if it's ever likely to happen.

On what would have been Justin's 63rd birthday, I wondered what the status of the statue is. Does anyone on here know? There doesnt seem to be an update on the charity website page. https://www.justinstatue.com/

Idah off on an adventure
spencer 1970 replied to Tetteys Jig's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Adam, strapping 22, soon to be 23 year old Irish international proffesional footballer who was once seen as the chosen striker for his nation, has the choice to wallow away in Norfolk with a football team where it’s never really happened for him, where no manager has ever really though he was in the top 2 forwards at the club who typically plays one up top. In one of the areas in the country with the highest average age in the UK…or have another go in Italy in Verona or Sassuolo…I know what I’d do at 22. Good luck Adam, all the best lad. 🖐🔰 -
Delia Smith stoked the social media fire when she said '10-20 per cent' of Norwich City fans were 'whingers'. ...I'd say it's nearer 50% Mrs Smith. I reckon we're up there in the ranking of moanyest fans.

https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/mortified-todd-cantwell-hooked-rangers-31569811 Mortified Todd Cantwell hooked by Rangers after 35 MINUTES as brutal Philippe Clement call sees star rage in dugout The playmaker could barely believe it after Ross McCausland replaced him amid a error-ridden display.

He was out injured for a while and is edging back into the side, Plus, he started at the weekend. OP, do you read The Daily Mail?

Norfolk born James Dyson, a generous man
spencer 1970 replied to East Rider's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
The money will fund the purchase and restoration of Holt Hall, near Gresham's School. The man is a TC. Obvious it's obvious. -
Good luck surviving in London on £20K a year?! Hopefully thats propped up with sponsorship money.

Wagner is staying; Confirmed?
spencer 1970 replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I know it's not been great, but tying not to be knee-jerk like a lot were 25 months ago (how did that turn out), hasnt Wagner had his best players either sold (remember this), or more importantly, his front 2 out, and his captain out for most or all of this season so far. the spine has been desimated no? Simply trying to take the emotion to take the weekly on/off emotion out of it as theis is how we got here (25 moths ago)...right? He has done some good with VERY limited funds. i'm not sure most on here actually realise how skint we actually are. I think if the binners weren't doing what they're doing, it wouldn't be so worrying...but do not fear, i feel they're just about to get found out. i'll wager we'll be on 15 years in no time. -
...and So sa' all of us.

Agreed, he was most to blame for the Plymouth debacle. "Proper Fred Karno's" as my Grandad would have said. 😉 ...and to answer the others, barring the standard few stray passes, Gibson was solid and put in some vital blocks. We do seem to love to hate our own eh?

I was there. Was a great debut. Promising that he didn’t look out of his depth at all against an "international" front 4, who've all plenty of experience. The lad Fisher, although rough, with a raw technique at times, looks to be a great tackler with very good positional sense. Great to see a full back who can actually defend. some step up from being an inexperienced non-league player a few months ago, to marking an ex-Brazilian international last night.

The highlight of going to Fulham away many times in the last 30 years, was was a midweek game seeing us take a 0-2 first half lead via 2, yes TWO, Graeme Dorrans penalties. We drew 2-2.

I see Hernández is doing well
spencer 1970 replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Best away performance last season = Millwall. Best player of said match = Onel. He's an absolute handfull on his day. Agreed, this is a bit daft, but he can take the stick I'm sure. -
Rosenior post match comments
spencer 1970 replied to Yobocop's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
it's been mentioned before, but as for the winner, the last Norwich player to touch the ball before Idah tapped it in was Nunez, and when he crossed it, Idah was still onside. The ball was then chested (badly) off a Hull defender, so he couldnt be offside. Goal. Deal with it Rosey jnr. -

Farke-ball would have got them 28. 🙃 -
Him doing a great, solid job at left back and then playing the full 90+ as the U21's won the final has surely bumped his price up a bit? Winning things and versatility right there. Ok, he's in his last year so the £20m rumoured a while back may have passed but we all knew that. What price would you lot say he's worth? Transfermarkt has him at £16m. We'd gotta be happy with anything near that right?

Godfrey leaving Everton
spencer 1970 replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I wonder what the odds of all 3 coming back down, and all 3 relegated side going back up would be. i dont think either has happened but its looking more likely as time moves on. Lets face it So'ton finished bottom and they are better that all promoted sides, possibly on a par with Burnley, but better than the other 2. -
Marcelino Nunez off to Brighton?

10th seems to be our rightful place.
spencer 1970 replied to Bradwell canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I agree with the OP, however, we've never replaced Emi, that’s the main loss. Add how good Skipp was for us not being replaced and a fading Pukki in a 433 we cannot seem to work with, along with a bad choice from the off (Deano) and that's our downfall since the overachieving Farke left.
