  1. Yep - they keep coming out with the same old rubbish. The fans don''t need a rallying cry; its the board and players!!!
  2. Lets face it - wouldn''t you be smiling after getting away unchallenged with four years of failure on a salary approaching £180,000??? Thats where your season ticket money will be going next year, not on players!! Whay an absolute joke our board have become, and they still have the brass not to resign!
  3. Usually when I submit a negative post Norwich win so I''m going to suggest that on Tuesday evening the score will be 3 - 1 in favour of Cardiff. Russell & Clingan will remain in midfield and continue to provide assists to Chopra & co, whilst Marshall will weigh in by allowing a shot or two to bounce off his chest into the path of the same Mr Chopra. Docherty will continue to huff and puff and give 120% effort whilst Shackell will make several brave blocks and continue to show why he should never have been sold in the first place! Cort will pinch himself periodically throughout the game to check he is not dreaming that there is actually a Championship club willing to play a non - prolific scorer on a regular basis, and Crofty will streak down the wing and make numerous attempts to actually get a cross past the opposing full back. Semmi will take regular treatments for nose bleed as he approaches the half - way line, and whilst all this is going on the fans will continue to give their loyal support, at least until we go 2 - 0 down, at which point at least 6 of the 24,000 crown will give Delia & Co a bit of stick, culminating in some half - hearted boos at the end of the match. Life at NCFC is so predictable these days isn''t it!
  4. Poor old Gunny has just put a brave face on today''s humiliating defeat; what else could he do? What a shame Radio Norfolk didn''t pin Delia or Doncaster down to explain not only this dire performance but also the shambles that fans have had to endure over the past four years. Nice to hear Gary Docherty admitting it was a terrible performance; well done those fans who travelled to the game...what a shame the players couldn''t show similar commitment and belief!
  5. Time for the board to step down. What a shame that the NCISA let them off the hook at the recent meeting; too cosy by far and what was Gunny doing there? Another typical ploy by the board designed to placate angry fans. I didn''t renew my ticket because Gunny was appointed, but because as a supporter since 1958 NCFC will always be part of my life, and I couldn''t face a season without going to watch them. Delia, Doncaster and Co. must go as soon as possible; lets rid our club of these idiots and claim it back. What a sad situation we find ourselves in.
  6. Delia and her gang of cronies even at this eleventh hour believe that by some mystic miracle NCFC will avoid relegation, otherwise surely they would be making an effort to bring in an emergency striker of the calibre of Evans or Lita! Its obvious that lots of fans are stunned and devastated as reality sinks in, but I doubt whether Delia, Doncaster et al will give it much thought; they will be glad to reach their comfort zone that is League 1, where standards and expectations exactly match their own. It will be a travesty if those attending the next home match don''t make their feelings known to the board. We will be almost certain of relegation by this point so what is there to lose, and I for one hope that the crowd direct more than a few anti - board chants in the direction of Delia. One more thought; how pathetic that the board have remained silent throughout the gathering crisis. No vision, no courage, no business sense, no conscience, no leadership, and no where to be seen or heard
  7. Get real - Callum was never serious in the first place - just likes publicity!!!
  8. I have been writing to the EDP over the past four years expressing my growing concerns over the incompetencies of the board, and the consequences of failure to reverse the downward spiral of NCFC. As a loyal supporter who has just renewed their season ticket, it pains me to admit that my fears regarding relegation are most certainly about to be realised, and Delia Smith along with her fellow board members must take full responsibility for our current demise. When the club was on the brink of achieving something great the board quite simply lost both their bottle and vision, opting instead for the infamous ''prudence with ambition'' strategy. Well over the past four years there has been plenty of prudence with very little ambition, and the playing side of the club has become an embarrassment, providing a great source of amusement to opposition supporters far and wide. Throughout the current season the board have been conspicuous by their absence, and total failure to provide straight answers to the fan''s concerns. They have shown a total lack of judgement by making a series of disastrous managerial decisions, whilst blindly blundering from one crisis to another. I sincerely hope the future is brighter than this letter suggests, but whatever lies ahead we need a board with the strength of character and sound judgement to lead the club forward, rather than bringing it to it''s knees.
  9. Its probably too late but if ever we needed an investor in the club its now. Yes I know its ''pie in the sky'' talk but like a lot of you I''m clutching at straws! Wouldn''t it be great if we could get a Ched Evans in because the fact remains a goal scorer alongside Cort is essential, and we haven''t got one. Some of us have been highlighting the real threat of relegation for the past four years, but were accused of scare mongering and not supporting the club. Well reality is now here for all, but I bet the board will keep theit heads well and truly buried in the sand, instead of admitting their gross incompetence and taking full responsibility for the cuurent dire situation. They are all pathetic and should be held to account foour demise.
  10. Will Delia, Doomcaster and the rest of the cronies on the board ever admit to their subtantial part in the club''s current demise. Will they admit that ''prudence with ambition'' has been a total farce; and undoubtedly led to relegation to League 1? Its amazing that apart from the absolute drivel spouted by Domecaster courtesy of the EDP, Delia and co have absolutely bottled addressing the current situation in public. The fact is they lack the courage to do so, and it is only their privileged position within the club that has prevented their (well - deserved) departure from the club. Make no mistake we will start next season in League 1, and as in any business Delia and the rest of the board must take full blame for the past four years of abject failure. Hang your head in shame.
  11. Perhaps this meeting has come a bit late?? Forgive me if this sounds inpolite but NCISA seem to achieve very little and have been completely ineffective in addressing the key issues and actions that have led to the club''s current demise. What do you hope to achieve from this meeting? Absolutely nothing if past achievements are anything to go by.
  12. I''ve renewed our two season tickets but only out of loyalty to the club I started supporting as an eight year old in 1959; the current set up is a mere shadow of what the club used to stand for. Its sad I know but I couldn''t imagine a weekend without a trip to Carrow Road, and I still enjoy the whole match day experience, apart from the 90 minutes of mediocrity currently being served up by the Board and players. Delia (however well intentioned), Doncaster, and the rest of their cronies should hand their heads in shame and must take full responsibility for the club''s current predicament. I like Gunny but yet again the baord have shown their lack of ambition, hoping that somehow luck will be on our side and we''ll scrape towards survival under an inexperienced and totally unproven manager and coaching team. You might say that by renewing our season tickets I''m condoning their actions, but this could not be further from the truth. Supporting a club all these years makes it part of your very existence, and although this might sound very sad in deed its a fact for the majority of fans. Lets hope a miracle can still happen, and we survive. If we do, then Delia and co should think seriously about their futures, and if we don''t, lets hope someone is waiting in the wings with a big wad of cash!! Enjoy the remaining games.
  13. Good post from Koimatsuba and spot on; those who respond negatively to this thread and choose to ignore the last four years of total incompetence from the board must share the blame for our current plight; their acceptence of mediocrity, poor decision making, and a belief that Doncaster actually cares about the club beggars belief and they actually seem to be looking forward to life in League 1. Stop insulting fellow posters who are just expressing an opinion, and try getting a grasp of what is happening here.
  14. A spot on post - hate to sound defeatest but all too late now and as you say protests should have started ages ago; say about four years ago. The board and apparently 80% of so called fans are happy to settle for mediocrity and League 1. Its amazing how the board are not taken to task by the local media; they get away with it year after year and week after week; they appear to be accountable to no one and continue to blindly believe that we can escape our current predicament.
  15. Probably one of the worst NCFC players of all times, but very good at passing backwards or sideways!
  16. Chris Killen hardly got a touch of the ball for the whole of the 20 minutes he was played and was dire; couldn''t get his head on anything or win a ball. Why did Gunny take Cort & Cureton off at such a crucial time in the game, to be replaced by a totally ineffective Killen, and a young lad (very promising though he is) who was far too inexperienced for such an important game. Once Cort went off there was no one to flick on the long punts from Marshall (when he actually managed to get any distance on them) or hold the ball up, and we missed the experience of Cureton who scored a good goal and was having one of his better games. Hoolahan had a great game and had asked to come off, but why not bring on a wide player to replace him? Oh thats right, we didn''t have one on the bench (what would we give for a Huckerby???). Gunny is a great guy, but is showing his inexperience of football management in terms of both team selection and substitutions. Still, when interviewed later he and the players seemed pretty chuffed with a draw at home against a ''good'' midtable team; could this complacency be why we are fighting relegation? What I saw today was a bore draw, and not a game where the home team were giving everything for the cause. Isn''t it strange how all season the fans have been watching a quite different game to the manager and players? Still, renewed our season tickets today so can''t be totally disillusioned; only partly.
  17. most of these posts are spot on; we have a good natured cosy little board who have absolutely lost touch with reality and must take full responsibility for our current demise; they won''t though!!!!
  18. very good post - how many wake up calls do you need in a season?????
  19. Blind optimism V reality is what has led us to our current fragile situation.....
  20. Doomcaster must have had a personality transplant!!! Hasn''t taken much notice of fans'' views to date and has himself been anything but community spirited!! Load of rubbish and sounds like trying to wheedle out of the responsibility for our current slide towards Division 1.
  21. Reading some of the messages its evident that some supporters are actually relishing the drop, so much so they are steaming ahead with buying their season tickets ready for League 1. They are going to support Norwich through thick and thin and will be even happier when we successfully reach League 2!!!! Take a reality check and look at the real consequences of dropping a division, with the knock on effect of diminished crowds, even less income, travelling to grounds that five years ago would have been laughable, losing the couple of decent players that we actually own, and sinking further into the financial mire. Our inept board are now reaping the rewards of countless mistakes, over prudence, lack of openess with and respect for fans, disastrous appointments, wasted income, and total lack of vision coupled with woeful ambition. Gunny and crew deserve a medal each and handsome bonus if by some miracle they keep us up, but will the board then show ambition, purpose, and common sense. The answer is no, and this is what condemns the club to the wilderness. Pride of East Anglia? We''ve become a laughing stock, particularly to our neighbours across the border.
  22. Fair point and I will do my share of supporting as I always have done, but we shouldn''t be in this position, and Doncaster still appears before every game grinning from ear to ear as 24,000 loyal fans push through the turnstiles; one thing for sure, if we do go down he won''t be around for long!!
