I think that’s a bit unfair. I’ve got noting against him and he’s still got a big role to play. My issue is with the system which effectively is a 4-4-2 when he starts with Sarg because his natural instinct is as a striker whereas with Sara playing behind Sarge it’s more 4-2-3-1. It also stops Sara getting into positions where he can hurt teams as much when he plays deep, although he possibly does get on the ball more.

Leeds are not a lot better than us and we shouldn’t be approaching the game on that basis. Leeds may be a lot better than the sh*t we’ve served up for long chunks of the season but a midfield of Sara, Mclean and Nunez should not be bettered or dominated by many or indeed any at this level. That’s one of the problems with Wagner, he has allowed this mentality to become established due to his generally sh*t tactics.

The Aboh situation is interesting. He gets goals and he’s a poacher so obviously I’d like us to get him signed up as he clearly has talent but based on what I’ve seen of the U21s I wouldn’t say I’ve watched those games and thought, blimey he stands out, must sign him up. There are several other really good players in that side that perhaps don’t get the same attention because they are not on the score sheet so often. I’ve seen two or three cameos from Myles where I have thought he looks a serious player in the making.

I don’t think he can sign a contract til he’s 17 can he. So yes you are right in that sense but his talent and performances are the reason they have wanted to get him tied down at the first opportunity. We seem to have a few very good 16-18 year olds coming through but this guy looks the real deal from what I’ve seen of him.

Yes. Yes we do. Worry about being in the prem if and when it happens but we would be hundreds of millions richer, probably retain Sara and Rowe for at least another season. -

I agree with this point re Kenny dropping into the back line. Sometimes it works but at Bristol Rovers away, for example, it left Sorensen on his own against three midfielders for a lot of the first half and very limited passing options out from the back so, more often than not, we ended up lumping it up the line into the channels and lost the ball. I actually thought we played it out from the back a bit better for much of yesterday but during our iffy spell after half time this was happening. Fundamentally, for me, the formation is still not right. He changed it to the right formation mid second half and it stemmed the WBA tide and we scored shortly afterwards. That was also the set up that worked well second half at Bristol. I do not understand why he persists with Barnes and Sargent at the expense of the extra midfielder and Sara playing further forward. -
I don’t agree he got it spot on. He did make the necessary changes in the second half when WBA were on top but in my view Nunez should have been on instead of Barnes from the start. Had WBA played in the first half as they did in the second it may have been a different game as for 20 minutes or so they cut us open at will. That has been our problem all season. If Wagner starts with Barnes alongside Sargent at Leeds it will in my view be a big error.

I agree with this. They still had 15 shots on goal and 60% possession and in that first 15-20 minutes of the second half could have scored three had they been more clinical. I don’t think they turned up in the first half really, the way they stepped it up after the break indicates that. A good win, some better football but I’ve seen posts and tweets describing it as a brilliant performance that proves the doubters wrong. I’m not sure it was that. I still think we were set up wrong until those subs and as a consequence too easy to play through. We still didn’t really control the game in the way I would like with posessiob of the ball. Until Wagner stops playing this 4-4-2 variant that will continue to be the case.

I really like Sainz as a player. Good composure, very good technical ability and a good work ethic. My only criticism would be that at present he’s not quite alive to the quick switch to the right side of the pitch often enough. There have been a few instances where it has been on and he’s not played the early pass.

Great win. I think we were a little fortunate that WBA didn’t turn up first half. The first 15 minutes of the second half showed what could have happened with the way we were set up but credit to Wagner for changing it at that point and the second goal and the move that led to it showed the benefit of having Sara more advanced. A quiet word also for Stacey who appears to be returning to some sort of form.
