  1. Barnes and Sargent again. Non existent midfield again. Wagner is a lost cause when it comes to putting out a midfield that can control games unfortunately.
  2. I don’t think there is any justification for any price increase. But then it’s precisely what I would expect from the current regime and they know most of us will pay it.
  3. Our position is a fair reflection of the players and manager combined. But it’s not a fair reflection of the players. The latter is dragging down the former.
  4. Or at least it was before he injured himself yesterday
  5. Rowe had a wrist injury. The idea he’s not match fit is laughable
  6. We actually did completely control the last ten to fifteen minutes in a way we hadn’t before. If Barnes could finish or Onel make the correct decision on whether to pass or shoot just once in the season we would have won. What’s frustrating is that during this period we had removed our main striker who probably would have finished something plus also Sainz. We never had our best unit on the pitch at the same time. One positive was I thought MCCullum looked a real presence once he came on. I am now tempted to say he should be starting ahead of Dimi. There is a player there that a decent coach should be able to mould.
  7. To be fair we’ve only had this defence playing together for about 5 years to be able to work that out.
  8. I was disappointed as soon as I saw he’d dropped the formation and line up that has seen us significantly improve in recent weeks for that wretched 4-4-2 with Barnes and Sargent. He has a massive blind spot when it comes to midfield control. Whatever the excuses for the subs they messed us up at a key moment. You have to be adaptable and able to react to what is happening on the pitch. At no point yesterday did he manage to get the best team available to him on the pitch in the best formation. I’m tired of it, it’s hugely frustrating. But I have accepted that the pathetic individuals running our club will not change it til the summer.
  9. Team selection was wrong. Formation was wrong. Subs were chaotic and wrong. 2 points dropped. We remain in contention despite Wagner not because of him. All very frustrating.
  10. I think fickle is an unfair accusation Nutty. I don’t change my stance easily, in fact you could argue the opposite. Whilst I am pleased to see an upturn in results and hope we can kick on and make the top 6, I’m not swayed in terms of my opinion on Wagner and/or Delia or indeed Zoe by the fact we happen to have won a few games. Surely that is what would be fickle? How we do on the pitch doesn’t really affect my attendance at games. I go whenever I can. I could counter by saying your attitude to support is a bit docile or fatalistic in that you just seem to accept what will be will be without question or getting worked up about anything. Each to their own of course. Probably better for the blood pressure in the long run!
  11. I’m generally against change for changes sake when it comes to the game but as a youth coach I can see the merit in this. We do this informally at youth grass roots level anyway (ask a coach to take a player off for a few minutes if they are getting out of control) and it generally works to calm things down.
  12. I will lay my stubs on the table against most Nutty. I’ve spent years and years travelling around the country watching this team. I don’t get to every game right now but still get there pretty regularly and for about 25 years hardly missed a game home or away. That doesn’t make me anything special, there are many others too. I’m sure you are amongst them. What I do think it means is that I think I know our fan base pretty well and I certainly know a lot if what I would consider to be our more “hardcore” fanbase and I can tell you that amongst those people I can barely think of one who has not been deeply unhappy with how the club has been run over the last three year, thinks Delia’s not hanging on for too long or who thinks Wagner is a good coach. These are a large chunk of the people who are most vocal at matches, whether it’s singing, shouting, moaning or booing. Some (who I never thought would) have walked away and do not go much now. Others like me will never walk away but are disillusioned. If the club loses many more then it will be sad and also bad for the atmosphere at Carrow Road. You can’t just replace fans of 30/40 years with “new” fans and expect it not to harm the atmosphere. It’s one of the reasons so many of the new chants are such utter s**t (eg the Borja Sainz one).
  13. Yes this is our strongest side in my view.
  14. I don’t think our support has had it in for Idah at all. They’ve been remarkably patient really. He’s never really been given much stick. He just does not have the speed of thought and instincts of a top striker in my view.
  15. He scored two penalties, missed a couple of sitters and was generally pretty hopeless. Hopefully that league is so poor that he will get enough goals up there for some mug to make us an offer in the summer but a few penalties scored in that league when playing for Celtic does not prove anything.
  16. Take out the 20% (although its way more than that who are disillusioned) and there would be no atmosphere at all at Carrow Road.
  17. The company who gave the tickets are one of the clubs sponsors. Not sure the club has helped their reputation with them.
  18. Yes we would struggle without Pukki and indeed we did without Emi. But what is different with Sargent is that the entire way we play seems to fall apart when he’s not there. Whereas when the others were out we just lost attacking threat. That’s what I meant. I’ve not seen a situation before, where a striker being out has such an impact on its defensive abilities.
  19. Our reliance on him is a little worrying although obviously only a problem if he gets injured. I don’t think I can recall a squad quite so reliant on one players fitness in terms of how we are able to play or perform and weirdly it’s not scoring goals we have a problem with when he’s not there, it’s defending and the general shape of the team due to missing his work rate up top. It is certainly questionable, when a style of play is quite so reliant on one player, not to have at least one similar player in reserve and also doesn’t say a lot for Wagner that he was not able to adapt to his absence better than he did. That said he’s back now and if he can stay fit you feel we have a good chance of top 6 and then anything can happen.
  20. This is a Norfolk charity and a raffle organised in conjunction with one of the club sponsors. Read between the lines of the announcements put out about this. Both are clearly upset with the way the club has stopped this. They said the prize is only open to Norwich fans. I doubt Ipswich fans would even be aware of this raffle. There will also be other sc*mmers in the corporate seats, I have no doubt. I trust Delia will not be inviting her pal Ed Sheeran to or allowing him to attend the game.
  21. I think if you look at the chances Cov had on Saturday you can see there are still flaws even if we are playing better. Most of them come from our fullbacks going awol and making either zero effort or s very poor effort to get back and recover. It’s for that reason a genuine holding midfielder would help us as they would perhaps read that situation and be able to cover. In particular, Stacey left Duffy exposed on about three occasions that led to chances. Stacey has hit better form but defensively he’s often completely out of position,
  22. I would also add that I think Wagner has been effectively playing Sara as a second striker rather than an advanced midfielder.,I would agree he needs to be able to drop deep.
  23. And I know Kenny was playing CB for a while but we could have played Nunez and Gibbs.
  24. Regardless of whether Sara is yet flourishing in the more advanced role, our general improvement has resulted from playing Nunez with Kenny as the deeper two. Which is what many, many fans were saying should have been happening way before it did.
