I found his recent Twitter/Instagram post a bit weird for someone who is only supposed to be out for a couple of week. Perhaps it had a different meaning to what everyone assumed.

So two days remaining in the transfer window and……

I would feel sorry for him if the club don’t back him. Much of my anger would be aimed at them. but tactically he is inept and the quality level of the coaching these players are receiving us questionable. The fact we have some good players means we will get enough results at champ level to stay in contention. -
Well Liverpool did have 30 shots yesterday and we had 6 so it’s not a million miles off either. We did not play “pretty well” unless you are in a parallel universe.

I saw the sign, and so did Borja Sainz….

There are a group of fans who have taken to doing this at away games. At Bristol some bloke with them had about 5 pre prepared signs he had brought with him and him and his boys were pestering the subs every time they ran past for any kit they could get. Would not surprise me if most of it ends up on eBay. I found it quite irritating to be honest, they spent as much time trying to blag kit as they did watching the game.

Very happy to see him leave. Fed up with watching him flounder about missing chances that would win us games due to having zero strikers instinct. There is something there but equally there us something missing also. Good luck to him if he goes.

Where are we with these “exciting” plans we heard about. Nowhere. A few kids out on loan. Hwang gone. Maybe Idah. Zero sign of any improvement to the first team squad. And still we keep our utterly inept coach. Worst of all worlds. if they are going to keep him they should at least back him a bit. Ok I understand that if they are thinking of a change in the summer you don’t go full tilt but doing nothing would be ridiculous.it’s basically giving up on the season now and is not acceptable. What on earth was the point of Knapper starting early other than, it seems, to take the heat off the owners and board.

A very badly coached and poorly drilled side with a handful of very good players who should be doing better.

He had a very strange, almost inconsolable look on his face at the end when Klopp was hugging him

Result wise, 2-1 at half time is not too bad and we are in the game (just). We look quite threatening at times on the break and if we can get at them a bit more I feel another chance will come. But I’m sorry I just don’t see how you can park the bus as we do snd yet still not mark or close down players when we have ten in our own final third. It’s truly bizarre tactics and frankly some of the defending I would be embarrassed by if produced by my U11s side.

Sainz won’t beat someone for pace and when playing away and looking for threat on the counter he’s not quite right. He’s better suited to games where we are likely to dominate the ball. I had no issue with that sub and thought Onel did well, as he generally has done in recent appearances.
-
The sub that saw Kenny move to centre back was for me a really poor decision and example of Wagner not reading the game well. I get he wanted to keep Rowe on but we’d just had a long spell where Kenny and Nunez were dominant in midfield and we never regained that. no issue with the other subs.
-
Much happier with what I’ve seen tonight, despite the result. If Wagner can restrain himself from f**king things up with his subs there is a template there for how we should set up and okay from now on. Kenny and Nunez were dominant for long spells when together in midfield. Knapper needs to pull a cheeky loan or singing out of the bag from somewhere.
