  1. No apologises needed 👍 Villa fans seem to rate him, let's hope he comes good.
  2. For a second there, I saw the tags in the URL and got very excited we were signing Jacob Ramsey on loan. A bit like thinking you're signing Jude Bellingham and ending up with his younger brother. Not to say the younger brothers in both examples are no good.
  3. No. His football is passing for the sake of it. Carlos Corberan (Ex-Huddersfield) would be my choice.
  4. Rashica and Sargent both looked ineffective signings last year but in this division you give them the benefit of the doubt. Both were shocking and offered absolutely no threat whatsoever. Atleast Onel had a go. You cannot play Sargent and Pukki together, it just does not work. Maybe Sargent with Hugill, but the quicker we can get someone in to feed Pukki the better. Pray that Sara and Nunez (should he complete) can provide the service.
  5. As expected, our young inexperience centre-back is our best playmaker - like a young Virgil Van Dijk. The rest...well.
  6. It was a play on words that is so bad that it just about makes sense 😄
  7. I can’t see Webber flying all the way out there for: a) a player he didn’t think he could get a permit for b) a player who wasn’t ready to join the team immediately. Webber knows he’s under mountain pressure.
  8. Do you know how much credit you get for each game, e.g. £20? or could you a get cash refund at the ticket office for the game instead?
  9. How does this work for a standard adult ticket in the Barclay?
  10. I suspect Smith will play a 4-3-3: Krul Aarons / Omobamidele / Hanley / Giannoulis Cantwell / Sorenson / Mclean Sargent / Pukki / Rashica Credit to Cantwell who has managed to go from 'surplus to requirements' to looking like one of our best players again although sadly Sorenson has shown in this pre-season why he largely didn't feature last season, just looks way too passive. The key to this season will be getting Hayden fit and then how well Sara adapts/fits in. Many are also forgetting the sheer lack of quality in this league and we'll be able to look bang average in some games and still take the 3 points.
  11. Ultimately he hasn't pushed on as much as most (including myself) initially thought two years ago upon his first promotion. His natural level probably lies at a lower-Premier League level, say a Crystal Palace. Although he has improved this side of his game, defensively he is still very suspect aerially/vulnerable at the back-post and his offensive game also seems to have been stalled. A good player but not a player which would move a club like Palace further up the table for the money that would have to be spent on him, and there lies the problem.
  12. That was an absolute shocker. Half-expected due to the team largely being the youngsters but Idah in particular did himself no favours.
  13. He was neither brilliant or terrible - he was 'OK' in every department; skill, fitness, injuries, attitude, value for money etc. Ultimately, not good enough for the EPL and too old to grow. Cutting our losses the right move.
  14. The total opposite of the performance against Marseille. Now 1-0 down. Rashica, Cantwell, Andrew, Gibson, Kenny are those players that played in that game and missing so far in this game. Cantwell in particular bossed that game.
  15. Marseille (and their fans) have always been a team of thugs. The region is notorious for being less than friendly.
  16. I'm usually an L (sometimes an 'M', sometimes an 'XL') and the 'L' is quite tight, whether by design or not. I'm 6ft1 and quite slender, but not skinny, basically Kieran Dowell size and find the neck uncomfortable so will be switching to a XL.
  17. Regarding our limited outs thus far, it states what we already know - Pukki aside, we basically have no one in our squad that Premier League sides are even remotely interested in. Compared to Burnley who had Pope, Tarkowski, and Ben Mee who will all do a solid job next year in the EPL.
  18. It's very hard to make a click-able highlights reel demonstrating good positioning sense or interceptions. The general everyday fan wants to see dribbles and goals in these videos and that's about it.
  19. Idah and Omo less of a concern as both visibly seen in the German training camp so should be back fairly soon. Hayden, more of a concern.
  20. Barclay s/t rough figures: Premier League 21/22: £25/game Championship 22/23: £23/game (due to 4 more home games)
  21. It's a clever move from Corberan. As other have said above, he's leaving whilst his stock is very high and realistically he's not going to repeat last year's success especially with a number of key players leaving. He'll then be very high up on the next top Championship job / lower Prem job to next appear. Certainly many would like him here if Smith doesn't start well.
