I tell you what, you and you''re best pal smudger for all your slating about doomcaster, have more doom and gloom about you then he will ever say!just for the record though, please can you state at what position in the league table you will happily praise the team for their performance, and please don''t say when they''re champions of europe...yes we played awful last night but just about everyone on this board is sick of your negative comments, in the words of the wise''if you have nothing good to say, don''t say it at all''
i will praise the teams performance any time there is something to praise and personally i would be very happy is we manage to be in the top 8. "if you have nothing good to say don''t say it at all". Why? And who made you the board moderator?
okay, i wasn''t aiming this at the majority, of course our club is not living the high life and yes when things go wrong of course the fans who go and pay their money deserve their voice to be heard, the initial rant by myself was directed at smudger and 1st wiz who clearly have nothing positive to say WHATEVER is going on at the club, win or lose...their is always something wrong and negative to say...and i appreciate forums are designed to have a debate, but seriously the constant moan moan moan year in year out from people like them gets boring

3. i disagree that he ''refused to shoot''..infact he was the only one willing to shoot, trouble was when there was space to shoot, it was on his woeful right foot...im not a pattison fan but last night he had to be one of the ''one or two players that had a good game'' according to roeder, the other presumbly either bertrand or kennedy, the midfield was completely out ran and muscled last night, and omuzuzi, goodness me where is semmy?!
4. Last night qpr played the lastest trend of the formation (when they had 11 men) and it worked an absolute treat for them....they obviusly studied the fact that we like to play quick passes and one two''s in the final third with both pattison and hoolahan drifitng in, they blocked this by having 2 sit deep, with out midifield inbetween those and the 3 extremely good attackin players (ledesma, cook and rowlands?!), it was obvious that it totally wrecked out formation and style..for me credit for roeder for changing it in the second halve to atleast try, but if teams want to know how to stop us playing they have just witnessed how
5.
I will make a promise here and now..if Fotheringham is ever given another deal at this club, i will never go to another game at Carrow rd.my 41 years of continuos support through thick and thin will not become 42. i just could not stomach seeing my season ticket money used in this way. Worst Norwich captain in living memory..
quite frankly if you support ''continously through thick and thin'' then one player shouldn''t make you give up your season ticket... but you are correct on fozzy being useless...the bloke is andy hughes in disguise
6. Tonight was like a jekyll and hyde performance compared to the one against birmingham....firstly though i would like to congratulate qpr on their defending, if ever you want to show kids how to defend with 10men, there we go...top notch defending on their behalve, and if they stayed with 11 men with cook on the field they probably wouldve destroyed us..anyway Marshall positioned his wall fine, but why then not even bother diving for the ball when it goes a yard to the side where your''e standing stefanovic for the first time had a poor match, reacted second to most balls and gave away the needless free kick i''m not a fan of his but pattison for me was the most creative player and atleast tried to get things going why lupoli was taken off I do not know, as for hoolahan he tried but to no avail, roeder was right to atleast try and change things cureton.....i''m sorry he has to go, offers less attacking threat then a sloth happy to go without food for a year
7. i really couldn''t care less what smudger thinks, even if he maybe correct everynow and then...it was so obvious that as soon as we lost, him and 1st wizard would be the first one''s on this board....yes we played bad, but qpr defending extremely well..and would you be praising the team if we had won?! I don''t think so, so stop attention seeking and just reply to somebody''s else match report thread
8.

I''d like to think so but I suppose it all depends on cash doesn''t it.
How are we off for bottle tops? because sure as hell there''s no cash.[:S]
your determination to find something to moan about is simply staggering
Not sure Wiz and Mac are moaning - surely they are just telling it like it is? it all comes down to money at the end of the day and we have very little [me sticking up for Mac! now there''s a first..... next thing GR will be saying what a great guy Neil Adams is!]
Of course he''s ''telling it as it is'' and on this occasion he''s right we simply don''t have enough finance to buy him, but he''s also ''moan moan moan'' as everyone knows, we could be champions of europe and he''ll still be moaning about the state of the cavier being served up
9. or my personal favourate after one pass goes slightly adrift...BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! GET HIM OFF!
10. at the moment I have got a season ticket and to date without fail if you go 2 hours before kick off to the ticket office at the ground (outside the ''community corner'' or whatever it is) you should be able to either get a ticket that hasn''t sold or get a ''buy-back'' from some blokes season ticket who can''t attend, I think they''re still on regular sale anyway but if not turn up at 5.45pm if possible buy the ticket
11. to be fair its a great finish from their lad gallacher, a promising player in my opinion..as for us were playing some great pass and move football which hoolahan inspires but for me my favourate player at the moment has to be bertrand, a real class act going forward and getting better and better defending as well, top player
12. Liverpool beating Manchester United....King''s Lynn not drawing....Norwich winning away from home....Hull City winning away to Newcastle....------------------I wonder what the accumulator on that would have been [;)]
13. pattison missed an open goal from 6 yards, ''absolute sitter''
14. this has been the first day that norwich are playing away that i actually feel confident of us winning, and at all places as plymouth! come on city, i actually think were going to win 4-1 today...lupoli x 2, sibierski and even one for cureton in the 89th!
15. I''m sure who invented this system has worked out a way to check whether the person is an adult or a child, i think i remember reading somewhere how it all worked, because if us norwich fans can work out ways to beat it, i''m sure others in the country can, haha
16. yeah i noticed that, you can tell there the true hardcore england fans out there, cause next to the loyal norwich flag was a massive grimsby one, haha!
17. not our pet, but we have a bloody annoyin cat keep comin into out garden, its now known as ''that bloody kevin muscat is here again!''
18. I too bought the premiership year highlights one this summer (the one with ashton on the front)..looking back on it, our team could have easily competed in that division had we had a decent centre-back...looking back at EVERY game, look how many goals were concedded from mistakes from simon charlton (far more so then doherty)..if we had had bought a decent centre back imo we would have stayed up that year...oh well
19.
The problem is that club football has devalued international football to such an extent that playing for your country is no longer the greatest accolade a player can get. Do we honestly believe that playing against Andorra for England means more to Frank Lampard than playing in the Champions League for Chelsea? In the past couple of years Lawrie Sanchez and Alex McLeish have both resigned from their posts as national team manager to take over, frankly very average, Premiership teams. If the managers can''t even be arsed to stick around then what motivation is there for the players?
completely true (tho isn''t it about time you changed your name shack attack [;)]) The classic ''club vs country'' row should be non-existent, the fact that some players seem to think its a crime if they''re not paid to play for their country, its a disgrace...from a personal persepective playing for your country should tell you, you''re in the top 20 current players in the country...but these days because of the current influx of foreign players its much more elite to say ''im in the chelsea/manchester united squad'' rather then the england squad because lets face it, its harder to get into those clubs then in the england squad at the moment based on ability
20.
The back is self explanatory. James has the experience for this game, and the back two are solid.  I would like to see Woodgate in there as a sub in case Ferdinand or Terry get injured.  Cole and Richards should be first choice full backs. I would go for a slightly different style of play to the normal 4-4-2 as the most successful teams in the prem seem to play a more attacking play of football and have three attacking but also allows five to be in midfield. Therefore I would have two defensive midfielders in Hargreaves and Carrick.  Hargreaves to do the doggy work and Carrick to spread the ball about. (He can pass the ball better then anyone else in an England shirt).  I would then have thre attacking midfielders in J Cole, Young and Rooney as he likes to get involved all other and this is what he is best at. These can then drift out wide and use their skill and pace to beat players and some needed excitment to an England Team.  Then as a lone striker should be between Owen or Ashton.  as they are goal poachers and more clinical then Heskey. Therefore                               James Richards      Ferdinand      Terry      A Cole                         Hargreaves   Carrick                 Rooney      J Cole      Young                            Ashton/Owen
this seems to be the new 4-4-2 in the premiership and on fm ;)...and i agree it would probably work, but i would have gerrard instead of j cole
21. How obvious is it to everyone that rooney simply can''t play alongside a small, nippy striker...neither can he play upfront by himself...essentially he is a playmaker rather then an out and out goalscorer (he''s in the sheringham mold some might say), therefore it''s crucial that we play 4-4-2 with him alongside a targetman esque player, you''re heskey''s, crouches and ashtons (however none of them are world class or cant keep fit for 2 weeks running)In the midfield it''s about someone realises gerrard is the best midfielder we have and rightly or wrongly he plays best when he is the star of the team, and as he has stated plays best as a box-to-box player with a defensive player alongside him...on the wings we need somone who has great ability when it comes to crossing the ball (to feed the target man) and on the other a tricky, flair player which in england is extremely rare (to play one-two''s with rooney)The defence imo is fine, terry and ferdinand at the back, richards at right back and cole left-back with james in goal...so my team?             JamesRichards   Ferdinand   Terry   A.Cole Bentley  Gerrard   Hargreaves  A.Young                           Rooney             Ashton
22. on the subject of chrome, anyone know how to set and access the home page? rather then the ''most visited'' sites thing...i''m trying to decide whether or not i want to change all my settings onto chrome or just carry on using firefox...i originally got firefox after people saying it was much superior then IE about 2 years ago, but i have to say the two are very similar, though apparently chrome can upload videos quicker
23. a very good post, I was going to post something similiar to this yesterday even before the man city debactcle, but that has just added weight to the claims...The gap has got stupidly big now even between the ''big 4'' which has realisitcally become the ''big 2'' until man city potentially catch up, but what next?! is there a bloke out there richer then this arab?, it surely will reach boiling point soon, and we''ll have a similiar scenario to that of the itv digital collapse only on a much bigger scale, clubs outside the premier are still realistically reeling from this, but have clubs learned there lesson?! I don''t think so, and in 5-10 years time I honestly think we''ll be watching a hardcore 30-40 clubs rather then the current 92
