All sounds a bit familiar to another Norfolk club at that level not so long ago, but kept very in-house by a loyal Chairman and Vice Chairman, so as not to tarnish the clubs name.

Jolly Maltsters was the pub with the outside **** house, good for a quick slash before the match. Recall a rowdy little punch of Chelsea in there pre one night match, could of been the semi ‘fog’ one or replay. The Kingsway was allegedly a fence in the 80’s, lived opposite for a short time, so could leave at 2.50 and home by 5! -

Great Yarmouth has almost lost its once thriving holiday industry, now just a day visiting resort. It always was a working class holiday resort for the miners and factory workers from the midlands etc, which have now almost all gone. Also as the roads got better people didn’t stay do much but just had a day out there. Lots of petty mismanagement from the councillors too over over the years hasn’t helped. The town has its oil and gas connections but could have been much bigger in industry and the use of the port. The football club is worth a mention, has the worlds oldest stand but laughably despite a population of around 90,000 and many footballing loving people, still plays it’s football at village level and has never won a thing of note! Still love the place, but could be better, much better. -
Could go either way, Millwall always give it 100%, but I’ll go for 2.1

Placheta the New Left Back ?

Good idea, many forwards have ended up as defenders, and vice versa. Greg Downs forward to full back, ……. -
Trevor Francis was a top player in the 70’s. Played on a complete mud heap of a pitch at Birmingham, in a tough tough period. Scored lots of goals as a teenager and I seem to recall him getting a hatrick at 16. Well spoken and polite, West Country boy, went on to play in the European Final for Cloughies Forrest, scoring a winning goal. Good guy, RIP.

‘White House’ ….Bidens boy Hunter is a cocaine addict, shouldn’t be anywhere near the place or involved with anything related to Ukraine. Clearly people at the highest level cover for him.

Based on real life events. Thousands of children being trafficked around the world , where are they going and for what? So many being abused in Ukraine, not just since the war but before also. Money shouldn’t buy a child even if your so called ‘ rich’. l

Old enough to have seen the deteriorating health of the nation and excessive obesity of people especially the kids. McDonalds and the like have a lot to answer for, so called energy drinks, quick ready meals, mums not being home to prepare a good wholesome meal, just eating crap from a bag heated in the microwave, take aways. Takes a little discipline and time, but it’s still possible to put together a cheap healthy meal from scratch and I’m no chef. The reward is worth the effort.

Striving to make sense of the Ukraine war

The stress and fatigue is huge and it’s not just the Russians turning on themselves. I have family member arriving tomorrow, it’s become intolerable to stay any longer, I know it’s broken him. -
We’ve had some crap strikers at Norwich over the years, some had the talent but we’re lazy or with an attitude, some were donkeys but would put in a shift and never hid. With Idah you have a ‘young’ player with money in the bank for little return, doesn’t score, gets knocked off the ball, doesn’t have any natural positional ability but more than anything, just doesn’t work anywhere near hard enough, which is inexcusable.

7 hours of questioning, that’s a lot of questions! £600,000 of party funds gone, that’s a lot of money, but maybe it was all well spent, somewhere! -

https://www.aol.co.uk/ukrainian-bank-accuses-former-owners-111211081.html Anyone who’s interested in the ‘workings’ of Ukraine, could look closer at this company and it’s former owners. Of course everything is priced to the $ One of the major beneficiaries of the Privat Bank was a club called FC Dnipro, who were a force in Europe before the money ran out and many of their hard core fans went to war. This is not an isolated case but the norm. Foreign ‘ investors’ with good connections, especially in the US and EU would do very well…… -
Personally I wouldn’t have sacked Farke at the time and the way it was done, obviously thrown under the bus to direct attention away from Webber imo. For me it has to be Ken Brown as the best ever NCFC manager. He took over at a difficult time with an ageing team, when Bond jumped ship to Man City. Even Bond didn’t rate him as a manager and they were supposed to be mates! He built with Mel Machine a top class young team with lots of reserves from the likes of Spurs and some old Div 2 clubs. Stringer and Walker got the benefit of them as well later. The team played attacking football and passed the ball positively. We actually won something as well, Milk Cup 1985 and if not for the Liverpool hooliganism, would have played in Europe. On top of this Kenny was/is a top man and always happy and joking, was not a bad player either. A mention for Ron Saunders too, completely different but a great character and hard man!

This is big money investment, a place which I know well. I’ll only talk from experience, no exterior motives other than to see peace and health to my friends and family still left. I particularly wish my brother home from the front, so that he can return to his profession as a lawyer, find a wife and have the chance to build his life again, either in Dnipro Oblast or Israel. -

I’m no longer in direct contact with so many Ukrainians, haven’t been there for a couple of years and to be honest can’t be on their side completely against Russia, when I know this situation was the making of America and the EU. This conflict/war was so predictable way back, planned by the west for many many years. We witnessed the first stones thrown, then a petrol bomb in Maiden. Sky TV were scrambling for news then and asked for updates on the ground, just goes to show how flimsy news reporting is! Skipping a few details, I can say this as fact. The US had a lot of activists spread inside Ukraine, some very close fiends. The common link of all I got to know, over many years, was that they were Democrats and had links to the government, the Clinton’s especially. The west provoked this war, not Russia. They are using Ukraine to fight and divide Russia. The globalists want Russia to be weak and they want the land of Ukraine under their control. China has a big stake in the agricultural land, the finest in the world. There are experimental farms in Ukraine, which I’m sure wouldn’t be allowed in the EU, we have seen some ‘amazing’ animals, said to financed by Canadians. These places are not open to the general public and are secured. Ukraine has some secrets and surprises. It’s just to easy to see Putin as the bad guy and Russia the enemy. Russia didn’t move towards NATO, NATO moved towards it, that was the threat that wasn’t going to be ignored. If you prod the bear, it will attack to defend itself. I understand that Russia wants to preserve its culture and way of life. (It will never except same sex marriages, children are untouchable, as are the elderly)…So does Ukraine btw but has been hypnotised in thinking that the EU is a vast money tree and they all will live in a castle.Ukraine is a part of greater Russia, it has little in common with the US or EU. We have been lied to, Ukraine does not have a hero president, but a puppet, an actor, who like so many will do very well out of this war. They are all busy feathering their nests, the arms manufacturers are making billons, Blackrock is invested, the Bidens are in, Boris trying to get back in, German, French, UK companies on standby, big Jewish money. The wars going well, America is fighting Russia without losing a life, the brave fighting Ukraines who in the past did the lions share of the USSR fighting are now being used by the Americans. But slowly people are waking up, it’s horrible to admit that you are being used. No one will win a military battle, land will be won and lost, no bodies will come alive, dead is dead and beautiful strong men, women and children on both sides are gone forever, while the politicians carry out their plans to globalise the world. I guess if your sold on the idea that Putin is an evil dictator and Zelenskyy is the brave good guy, then you will probably disagree with everything I say, but I have a very balanced family and friends within US, UK and Ukraine, I know the country very well, bottom to top and this is my conclusion. -
Only decent performance at Carrow Road this year!
Sheva replied to Canary Jedi's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Everyone walking down to Carrow Rd last night seemed very chilled, it looked like a big deal so checked them out on YouTube when home but it didn’t do it for me. Might be an age thing but I still believe todays bands are a poor second to ones of the past. Still we have the Foo Fighters in Australia this winter, I’m told there’re ok, so might give them a look: Stranglers, Dr Feelgood, Stones and early Springsteen every time! -

So you elected a clown and ended up with a coke junkie, …sounds about right for Ukraine! -
The truth will eventually all come out, super injunctions or not. Show business is rammed full of freaks and wronguns, … where’s Jonny Rotten, he tells the truth!

Seen a lot of top bands and solo performers over the years and Tina Turner was right up there. Real energy and soul, you didn’t leave feeling short changed!
