  1. https://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/news/24031863.flood-expected-warning-issued-norwich-city-centre/ They might have to reassess that again!
  2. Always had a soft spot for the ‘Gas’, having lived in the Rovers side of the city. My God Father ( Barrie Meyer) taught me the words to ‘ Goodnight Irene’ at an early age. He was a name himself, having scored against the ‘Busy Babes’ when Rovers knocked them out of the FA Cup 4.0
  3. In the days when you could leave the Barclay walk around to the River End via the South Stand and fill in the away fans, if you were losing. Better days , you needed to be there to understand.
  4. Hopefully a Saunders, Bond, Brown, Stringer, Walker, Lambert or even Farke , who had the belief and balls to take the game to the opposition, win and entertain!!
  5. Only just read Chris Suttons comments and totally agree with them. Firstly he’s one of the clubs finest ever players, whether as a defender or main striker everything he did was with 100% determination & positively. Who can forget going to Inter with a totally weakened side and taking the game to them! How the hell have we slipped to this **** level of playing for a draw at home in Div 2. .. and why are the fans excepting it, it’s not just the team that needs shaking up by the sounds of it. It won’t get better until you complain and not sit quietly, that’s not being a good supporter, bring it to a head, don’t except trash for good money from super rich under performers. - £ 30,000 per week!, even when not working, doesn’t that make you a little upset?…. Forbes, Stringer, Peters didn’t get £300 but you did get their 100% commitment every single minute. They wouldn’t like or except this, I’m sure. It’s obvious that the club is full of free loaders, to afraid to rock the boat. The Webber’s should have been shown the door long before now, the majority share holders risk being ridiculed and despised, they need to retire away asap. Needs saying, the clubs becoming an embarrassment to the ‘Fine City’.
  6. Elevation of Carrow Road Stadium, Carrow Rd, Norwich NR1 3JE, UK Location: United Kingdom > Norfolk > Longitude: 1.3093062 Latitude: 52.6221535 Elevation: 2m / 7feet Barometric Pressure: 101KPa ***************************** Having just returned from a pub a little down river from CR, which was flooded out, I think it’s a real possibility that the ground, in the future could get flooded. I spuz they could build a wall or contribute to a barrier further down river but it’s an added expense and will make any borrowing more difficult and expensive.
  7. I’ve always thought Norwich City have the lowest level pitch in the country, just 1 meter above sea level! (either Oldham or WBA being the highest), so yes future flooding could be a major problem. I would still expand to 40,000 🤭
  8. Never said he did admire or respect Ukraine, you presume to much.
  9. Theres a gradual realisation from many Ukrainians, especially having come to the west that it’s not a way of life which they feel comfortable with and certainly don’t want their country to follow. Putins Russia will make a peace with Ukraine and other surrounding countries. They together will preserve their cultures and christian faith, they won’t allow it to be eroded by forced mass immigration from Africa and the Middle East. More than anything, alliances will be formed by religion, not politics. Everything I’ve seen and been told by influencers in politics, religion and business, within Ukraine over the last 25 years has/is coming true. We shouldn’t fear Russia, they always respected and admired us. It was the west which looked to overwhelm them and it hasn’t gone well for anyone.
  10. Cockney boy followed his footballing dreams, playing for several clubs, remember that cheeky grin at CR when playing for QPR…nearly won a major tournament as England manager and gain control of Spurs too! RIP

    Dublin Riots

Sounds like a load of made up crap believed by the idiots like yourself, still doesn’t matter what’s said on this little message board, events will play out on the big field, enjoy the little time you have left.

    Dublin Riots

More than a few so called ‘right wing’ lunatics. The Irish have had enough of attacks on their women, children and culture by immigrants from countries completely at opposite to their way of life.
  13. Stuart Webber, needs to be out of the club asap. The moment he talked about his 90% being what you’ll get from me, was the time to let him go. What signal did that send out to the other staff, players not fully committed, giving 100%? Imagine Todd Cantwell saying ‘ I’ll sign that contract but I’m only giving 90% and that will be better than the rest’ !! The majority share holders let him and his wife take full control, Webber’s ego grew even bigger. His comments and distain to the supporters is unforgivable. He brought pressure on himself and sowed the seeds of discord, ….a student going to school do his work but really not wanting to be there. He is very flawed and nowhere near the great achiever he believes himself to be. No one inside the club can effectively stand up to him, he needs to go and the OAP’s with the most shares need to hand over for the next generation. I’m not going to go anti Delia, that is so easy to do, but her time and her 2 other family members need to be much less involved and influential.
  14. No expert of rugby , but I recognise total commitment when I see it, last night both England and South Africa, showed that! I would be proud to buy them all a beer and the ref !
  15. Bobby Charlton, the best English footballer I’ve ever seen,….fantastic shot and grace running with the ball. A gentleman too.
  16. Plenty of impassable flooded roads in Suffolk today, reminded me of my childhood, when rivers often blocked the roads to school and the teachers ‘ went on’ about the coming ice age and all eastern ports would be frozen.
  17. Dynamic player, tough as hell, good enough to play for England several times. Franny Lee, RIP
  18. Yeah I know,…. won the league that year and only title winners got to play in the European final. Basically that team which Norwich beat, although Kidd replaced Law, and got a goal himself, as did world class Charlton and the greatest ever, Georgie Best.
  19. This was probably Norwich City’s greatest ever result against the great Best, Law, Charlton, European Champions, Manchester United. They played this at the start of MOTD for some time, I seem to recall. Who was there?
  20. When will the top national celebrity, who is allegedly comparable to Jimmy Saville be exposed, or do we have to wait for him to die too? Perhaps just close the whole BBC as a kind of trawler net operation, that should catch a good haul of ‘wronguns’.
  21. Gothic were the second best team in Norwich, the social club for Lawrence and Scott, next to Carrow Rd, eventually becoming Norwich United by various means.
