  1. Huckerby would have more chance getting in the england squad if we played him in his best position, left wing
  2. This is a little poser i''ve been thinking about for a little while now just wondering what you all think ; who''s the best winger/striker of these three Hux, Eadie or Bellars just wondering. p.s. Regards the media''s continuing question, will Huckerby make it in the prem? Answer.... is if he can''t what chance have norwich got of staying up
  3. We have made a good start to the prem, in terms of performances, but we needed to win the palace home game   (the easiest fixture for us this season(on paper at least)) and i thought we could sneak 1 draw  out of the next 3 games so i had us down to have 4 points at the moment. I think the next 3 games are really difficult also and i think we''ll do well to get 1 or 2 points out of them, but i''m forever hopeful.
  4.     After the start we had last year i thought oh no another year of the same. But i had no intention to give up my season ticket ever (probably wouldn''t leave norwich because of the footy)      But like you when i heard the news i think i first heard about hux and i thought oh my god i cant believe we got him for 3 months then i hurried home to watch the news and my god we got crouch as well bloody hell. It was almost like what it must be like, being a chelsea fan for a day as i really liked crouch even before we got him.     Then i heard about Harper and it was almost as if the board had lost their cheque book or something and worthy had found it and making full use of it while he had it (either that or he found a magic lamp and had 3 wishies) I really couldn''t believe what had just happened and like you was so excited by the prospect of all 3 playing for us.     After seeing hux and co in operation for a couple of months i firmly believed, and on numerous occasions stated that if we signed Hux we we''re going up and the rest is history.     Come on you yellows P.S. I think Hux should be playing on the left mid with doc and MacKenzie up front
  5. It is a shame that Malky is being sold because if anything happens to drury, charlton or Flem the doc will come back into defence this is fine until you realise that he will be missed up front (who else can hold the ball up).so we should have only sold malky if we got a top quality striker in.     But at the end of the day it''s a good move for malky as it keeps him playing regular first team football, which in turn is good for his international career. So all the best malky you will always hold a very special place in all city fans hearts. plus it the first time we''ve actually recieved any money for an out going player since..... my god i can''t remember
  6. Like it or not all who have posted their negative views on here, this board saved this club from going out of business many years ago. Ok we''ve had some pretty bad seasons since then and some bloody awful managers. But right here right now we have; a, The best young manager in the country b, The best and highest capacity ground that we''ve had for years c, The best club/team spirit for years d, The best squad for many years e, Sold out every game for the last 2+ seasons with this season sold out completly already f, We''ve just signed 8 new players more than anything i''ve ever known before (all internationals) Plus on top of all that we''re in the premiership and have shown that we arn''t half bad. How could you possibly have anything to moan about at this stage of the season just because we didn''t sign an average striker from charlton, grow up, stop your moaning and enjoy it. OTBC
  7. I think i''m right when i say that not including the sale of the land behind the river end we were something like 15million in the s*^t. The money for the land was coming to the club in stages over 2 or 3 years i think. So as you can see this is a major debt which has to be taken into consideration when spending the premiership pot of gold that has just landed at carrow road. how much of this debt would you like to see being paid off? 10 million and no striker or 8 million less said strikers wages, either way we have a realistic chance of staying in the promised land. Come on you yellows!!
  8. But jed this is what i''m saying, there is no one available is there and of those mentioned i would rather go for ashton thats all. So lets get behind the team and enjoy the prem, however long that may be. come on you yellows!!
  9. I keep reading messages from so called canary fans moaning about the clubs lack of ambition because we have not signed a striker, well you''re talking like a soccer pundit, a load of c*#p. We didn''t sign anyone because as worthy says the right player was not available at the right price.Who would you like to see worthy spend 2-3million quid on, appart from ernie great striker, not really what we need, but would have been great. As far as i can see the only striker who MAY have improved our side would be dean ashton, but he''s not proven at this level so would YOU want to risk 2.5 ish million on him. So stop bleating on about lack of ambition from the board and just trust them, they know what they''re doing and if we go down it won''t be through lack of effort. But hopefully the board would have kept NCFC in a strong financial position, with a 26000 capacity stadium for another asault on trying to reach the prem (West Brom style). If we stay up, we can spend huge amounts next season and be in a much stronger position hopefully with alot less debt. I for one would like to see NCFC still here in 10 years time whatever league we''re in, rather than not at all. Come on you yellows!!
  10. I keep asking this question, who could we have signed, for a realistic price (less than 2.5 million) who would be better than what we have. Imo harewood is not good enough who else. So give worthy a break as its the same for him to try and think of a striker that WILL definately score 15 goals, who is available and will cost less than 2.5-3 million i cant think of any one. so give it a rest and enjoy the premiership while you can. iI believe their are 3 teams worse than us in this league any way. Palace, Portsmouth, Everton, West Brom? Man City? Fulham? etc... we have a good chance of staying up so get behind the boys. come on you yellows
  11. For all of you who are complaining about not buying a striker exactly who the hell would you have bought; Harewood - maybe, but not rated by all west ham fans i know. Bit of a risk of 2million - in last seasons match against us, yes he scored a great goal, but i thought he lacked composure on the ball and he couldn''t hold up the play. So i''m glad we didn''t buy him.(plus he played on loan at the binners - in case you forgot) JJ - can''t get on the bench at charlton so why should he be any better here and how much would we have to waste to have another average player challenging the doc for a starting place 1.5 million- not sure. scowcroft - No comment (not even worth a capital letter) Dean Ashton - Probably would have been the best bet but crewe aren''t desperate to sell him so would probably cost 2.5million alot of money for NCFC Sutton - exactly what we''re after but could we have possibly have had any realistic chance of signing him no not at all Imo we should play with Hux left mid, Saffri, Francis, Bents, Up front Doc, McKenzie most attacking side we can have, get a 2 goal lead then take McKenzie off, hux up front simple eh! have faith in worthy he knows what he''s doing. Never kick him out. come on you yellows
  12. I agree totally with you aj on the team selection but possibly put bentley on right side and let hux drift from his natural left side (his most effective position) so basically a 4-4-2. Trouble is bit weak defensively down left. This is the only way to play hux and mackenzie together from the start which must be done imo come on you yellows
  13. I''m probably going to be a bit controversial here but if any fans are annoyed about not being able to get tickets for the big games, maybe you should have got yourself a season ticket when they were available. ie when we were c*"p and needed all the supporters we could get (where were YOU then). You would admittedly have seen some awful games in div 1 but you have to take the rough with the smooth. If you''re going to use the excuse of not being able to afford it kids season tickets are dirt cheap and for all tickets you can pay by 0% interest over 9 months easy really. Therefore if you''re not a glory hunter yourself, you would by now already have a season ticket. if you''re going to use the excuse of working some weekends, i do too so i can''t see every game but i''m still a season ticket holder and have been for most of the first division tedium. As for how do away fans get tickets in home areas, when i can''t go i give my ticket to other people sometimes they may support the away team. But at the end of the day its my ticket, i can do with it as i wish. Whatever happens this season i''m going to enjoy it and hope we can stay up. (i''m sure we will) come on you yellows
  14. Am i right in thinking that in the prem (oh my god i can''t wait) you have 7 subs on the bench. just thought i''d better point that out.
