  1. Sorry that''s just rubbish. On the basis of your comment the only game that''s a must win is the one that actually makes it impossible to stay up. Saturday was the best chance to get 3 points we had and we didn''t turn up.
  2. Whilst I am not keen on some of the wording I am in full agreement with the sentiment. I got over the concept of relegation some weeks ago, just want this season over.
  3. Well I remember it as if it were yesterday and we will never know. The mood was far more positive once Roeder had gone but if you honestly think he had some chance to keep us up and that the players would not have been affected by the negativity that is indeed your choice.
  4. Well I''d be happy to have him manage us in the Championship and if we get relegated from here it will not be (as it was not Gunns) the fault of anyone in charge of the remaining games. I would guess that if he hasn''t arrived by now he is unable to manage this season if we could get him it would be a win win situation. Cardiff were far more likely to stay up under Malky. If I would chose Malky if we managed to stay up under someone else in the summer would be another question. But I cannot even begin to imagine the pressure an the bile likely to be on show against Fulham and Liverpool. Thankfully I will be away for Easter so I will not witness it. Hughton is a nice guy and nobody deserves that even if he cannot see it himself.
  5. I am amazed that there are still some blind optimists out there. WE ARE GOING DOWN WITH HUGHTON As we would have under Roeder, hindsight is a wonderful thing and I think we gave ourselves half a chance with Gunn most of the players he inherited were loans and we actually played pretty well in some of those games. Unfortunately it wasn''t enough. The only mistake there was to reappoint for the following season (although ironically there would have been no way I would have sacked him after 1 game, that only happened due to the change of board) Yesterdays atmosphere after the game was one of the most poisonous I can remember in 40 years and that includes Police Horses charging at fans in the days of Chase. Togetherness is the only hope we have of staying up and the only hope of that is having someone else in charge for the remaining games, almost anyone. Adams and Huckerby would be as good a couple of names as any. The choice of a long term replacement should wait until the dust settles in the summer.
  6. Other than questioning your sanity, when I went last season we bought tickets in the neutral area (whatever that is) from Fulham.
  7. If the last 2 seasons are "progress" then I will have to find something else to do if we progress much more. If premiership money does not equate to better football then frankly what is the point of being there from a fans perspective ?
  8. Olsson and Ruddy should be the only 2 allowed but then again I doubt I will bother voting this year.
  9. Whilst I feel slightly unclean that I agree with LDC on anything I still believe RVW can do the business given time and support. We do however disagree that he is likely to get any support whatsoever whilst Hughton is in charge. Do we really need to have a Zigic or Carroll style big lump up front to see any success under Hughton ? if so do we really want this kind of football at Carrow Road ? Off for a shower
  10. Memories in football are so short. it is amazing that the gutless performances against Villa & Saints can be so easily swept under the carpet after a comfortable victory against perhaps the poorest team in the division. Perhaps its the fact that even the most pessimistic of football fans is still an eternal optimist. I can''t deny hoping that something in Hughtons head has changed and he realises we need to put more pressure on opponents and look to score more goals as we simply cannot afford the quality of player that could defend for a solid 90 minutes without mistakes. Why would I think this when everything about the last 2 seasons tells me otherwise ? I guess he has to the end of the season to not only avoid the drop but convince people that something is improving but frankly I see little improvement in our play since he became manager and the thought of suffering a similar 3rd season makes me feel physically sick. Gain another 10 + points and some positive performances and just maybe I could live with 10 games of next season to show progress.
  11. As an aside wasn''t the actor who played Arthur Fowler a notorious binner ?
  12. Ah I remember it well , standing on the terraces at Wembley. Game wasn''t anything special though.
  13. I would hope for someone with more experience than Sherwood, someone who has a history of management at a higher level and proven motivational and tactical skills.
  14. hahaha well I guess as he cant be dropped he will probably have more minutes than most. I wont be voting for him, but then again I doubt very much I will bother voting at all this season.
  15. I read a stat recently that our strikers get a shot on target every 127 minutes (or something like that) but hey apparently that''s the premier league for you. Can someone please tell all the other teams to stop scoring goals (it makes us look bad)
  16. The Doc was just dreadful his signature bear hug move was more at home in wrestling than football.
  17. I cant believe that anyone thinks Doherty or Charlton should have had game time in front of Malky.
  18. Even including the cup goals against lower league opposition doesn''t prove your point Juge. Everyone knows that Holt was a great player and was actually more suited to playing Hughtons preferred formation than any other Striker over this period (even though he hated it and left because he didn''t want to play it) I will not try to find reasons I think he will fail especially after probably the best game he has as yet played for us.
  19. You know what I mean Nutty and yes I believe its Hughtons fault he has had so few chances that he still has so little confidence in front of goal. You can of course give me the details of all the strikers that have flourished under Hughton in the last 2 seasons to prove your point.
  20. I think he had a great game on Saturday , not only worked hard but was effective. I can see improvement over the last month or so, just needs a couple of goals to settle the nerves. Maybe more games where the tactics allow us to get forward to support him. Look at the stats of every single striker at NCFC over the last 2 seasons and get off his back. Hopefully we will have a manager who understands the importance of putting opponents under pressure next season if his initials are CH is yet to be seen.
  21. Go on then LDC I have some straws here you can clutch at...... I think you got the order of the words wrong in your last sentence. shouldn''t it be "it always just doesn''t turn out how we would like"
  22. I always wanted him to succeed and even now if he were able to put together another 5-6 performances like Saturday I might be convinced to give him 10 games next season, truth is though we have suffered the last 2 seasons of dire football and destruction of confidence of any player unfortunate to play up front for us. No from me.
  23. I think you are seriously over estimating your importance(or mine) I think the fans have been top class all season considering the slop we have been served up most weeks. Maybe we are looking at it all wrong maybe we should have booed and bee abusive all season then maybe the players would have been scared. All we can do is sit back and watch the car crash happen in front of us and hope by some miracle we miss that tree.
  24. We are not one of the big boys and will never be such. My perspective is that we have been short changed on the basis of what other clubs above us and below us have been able to get for their money in terms of entertainment and there should be no excuse for it based on size of the club. It should be far from a David and Goliath cup tie.
