  1. Go on admit it - by half time you'd realised that your whole football supporting life has been a disastrous failure - and then.......... as the realisation dawned...... your lips almost involunatarily started to sing as if taken over by a mysterious force............ "On the Ball City..............
  2. I hope he's looking where he's going. He does appear to be walking in the middle of the road there. 😅
  3. Gonna be a hot one! And pretty windy too by the look of it.
  4. Thorns is the best shop in the world - true fact.
  5. Given where we are as a club I think Sargent was a sensible signing. We just don't have the money to pay the exorbitant transfer fees and exorbitant wages of established Premier League players.
  6. Proven Premier League strikers tend to cost about £50 million don't they?
  7. Obviously the article is appalling clickbait sh*t. Omobamidele was outstanding the other night as Forest picked up a very important 3-1 victory over Fulham. He has been playing far more regularly in recent weeks. Both of these things are potentially good news for us. The deal which took him to Forest was reported as £11 million up front with potentially another £9 million of add ons. A large portion of these add ons are likely to be based on the number of appearances he makes and Forest retaining their Premier League status.
  8. One that sits fondly in my memory is Norwich City 1 Ipswich Town 0 on Easter Monday 1981. Ipswich came here in second place chasing the title - we were 19th and battling against relegation. A tight game was settled when Justin Fashanu (God rest his soul) slid into a one-on-one with Town keeper Paul Cooper and poked it home. Cooper saw Fashanu coming at him studs first and sh*t himself, pulling out of the challenge. That defeat was fatal to their hopes of winning the title - and us? - we were relegated anyway. 🤣
  9. Probably best not to tell you that you could have got 32 on Norwich on Betfair before we beat Man City 😉
  10. Out to 5.7 on Betfair now after teams announced.
  11. Agree - he's superb in the air and has a fantastic leap on him.
  12. What's your point? You only have to look at the video of the incidents I'm talking about to see that what I'm saying is true. McCallum's 'statistics' have been particularly adversely affected by terrible offside decisions. That's a fact!
  13. Add to that the fact that McCallum would have had a massive winning goal against Southampton on his record for this season if it hadn't been for an atrocious offside decision. He would also have had an assist for Barnes against Cardiff if it hadn't been for yet another terrible offside decision. People who regurgitate statistics without realising their limitations are all too common these days.
  14. All in action when Accrington hosted Morecambe on Friday. Couple of great saves by Mair, a good effort by Hills and a very good headed goal by Shipley. (Ex Norwich Academy player Nelson Khumbeni with a goal as well.) https://www.skysports.com/football/video/30998/13104190/accrington-1-2-morecambe-league-two-highlights
  15. Utter nonsense. All the bookings of their players which he gave for fouls were nailed on. The ones for dissent we have to assume that he got right as none of us could hear what the Plymouth players actually said.
  16. And heavily involved in the 3rd as well. He's naturally left footed, but is doing brilliantly for them playing on the right.
  17. The player had been punched in the head by his own keeper and given all the concern over head injuries the ref was right to call the trainer on. I think the rule that stipulates the player who is clearly genuinely injured then has to go off for 30 seconds is a stupid one.
  18. No, true, you didn't. That particular incident worked to our advantage, but in no way could the ref be blamed for it by Plymouth.
  19. But it's the rule isn't it? If a player needs treatment for an injury he subsequently has to go off for 30 seconds. It was unfortunate for them no doubt, because the defender had been punched in the head by his own keeper - but the ref applied the rule.
  20. You do know that rugby tackles aren't allowed in football?
  21. Not so much the Assistant Referee who didn't flag for offside against Hardie when he was about a yard offside. Thankfully he missed the chance.
  22. I know a Pompey fan - apparently they're all hoping we get promoted so that they've got a chance of having Kamara on loan for another season in the Championship.
  23. It would be a problem if there was something in their financial arrangements which said they have to pay off all their outstanding debt on promotion. I've got no idea if that is the case, but it isn't normally. They have also maxed out pretty much on loan players this season and as we found out with Skipp this can prove problematic on promotion.
  24. As others have said you're one of the few sensible Ipswich fans who come on here, but you seem a little bit defensive about this. I just posted it as information really. I never said that I want to see you fail - and I never said it was shocking. And saying that you have made "loss after loss" is just a simple statement of fact.
