Should we sign a free agent?
Thirsty Lizard replied to TeemuVanBasten's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Presumably if we offered him £2.50 a week that would qualify as a ridiculous wage offer and he would therefore have to sign? -

Saw Nizet play a few times last season and he certainly looked decent. Seemed a confident sort. Not sure he'd be up to the physicality of the Championship yet though. -

The only person who doesn't learn is YOU! We signed Skipp, Hugill, Gibson, Mumba and Dowell this summer who are all English qualified players. The fact that three of these are now injured, along with Cantwell, Idah and Byram is just plain bad luck. No chance of you acknowledging this though - you'll just go on criticising like you normally do. -
Well what a waste of money Teemu Pukki and Tim Krul have been!! Total lack of ambition displayed by the club with these two bargain basement free transfers. How many times does it have to be said that you get what you pay for in life? Just look at how £72 million man Nicholas Pepe is tearing up the Premier League for Arsenal! That's ambition for you right there...............................

Would that be the Ollie McBurnie whose £20 million signing was an example of the kind of ambition that we should supposedly have been showing?? 😉

The Pinkun “Hit List”

And falling rapidly down the charts from last season's Number 1 spot is Lukas Rupp.................. -
Er......... Drmic has scored three goals for us and RVW scored two. Apart from these couple of minor discrepancies 😉 it's a valid point you make. 😉

are we missing Lewis and Godfrey ?
Thirsty Lizard replied to Bill's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Agree with this completely - his composure really stands out - will be a fantastic asset when he's playing in his more preferred central midfield position - or in central defence where he can also play too. -
are we missing Lewis and Godfrey ?

Correct. -
are we missing Lewis and Godfrey ?
Thirsty Lizard replied to Bill's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Wrong to include him on this list - he was crocked by a nasty foul by a Preston player. -
Sorry Dylan, but this post is nailed on ridiculous. When even Neil Warnock concedes that it's a penalty against his own team then you know it is the most stonewall penalty of all time!

Daniel Farke after international breaks..
Thirsty Lizard replied to nutty nigel's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Just proves what we all should know by now. Farke is an absolute top coach - and when he actually gets time to work with his players the results speak for themselves. -
Is our defence better without Ben ?
Thirsty Lizard replied to CANARYKING's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Does our midfield provide a lot more defensive cover with Skipp and Rupp playing?? The answer is an incontrovertable YES! -

Did anybody notice him while he was on the pitch? -
Middlesbrough game will define our season
Thirsty Lizard replied to Uncle Fred's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
He was talking about the HOME game against Boro that season (when Pukki did indeed score). -
Placheta starts against Holland and Krul!

Derby County Takeover
Thirsty Lizard replied to NorthCarolinaYellow's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Someone a while back put up a very good post pointing out that if you look at it logically Cambridge would be the ideal club for a billionaire to buy. Massive existing international name recognition from the University - a big catchment area with little footballing competition - good transport links and close enough to Stansted airport and London. And since they're currently so gash they wouldn't cost much to buy in the first place. -
It certainly was staged - by Cummings himself. There are many exits from Downing Street where the press are very unlikely to be. For my money Cummings knows that the Brexit sh*tshow is really about to hit the fan and he wants people to think that as he clearly wasn't there when it went through that he's not to blame.
