  1. Krull will be disappointed with the goal we conceded on Saturday I'm sure. But watch again the ball skids off the wet surface and picks up speed from this,- the first rule of goalkeeping is to stop the ball going in the net - by having his body behind the ball he achieves this- the additional pace means that his hands aren't quite in the correct position to hold the ball and it rebounds off his chest back into open play - hardly a spill as he never had his hands on the ball - his reaction to get to the ball was quick and only the fact that it broke to the other Swansea player did it result in a goal. A poor goal to concede by any goalkeeper and as I say I'm sure TK will feel disappointed but a major mistake, not really for me. We have an able and capably Keeper in Mr Krull (from what I've seen)-will he be good enough if we are promoted -what a nice problem to have to think about. But leave out the needing a replacement this season.
  2. What are the chances of Wes playing a part in the game tonight, he must have a great record against them? Throw in the Lambert factor and it might just be worth tuning in. I think the WBA forward line will be just to good for their defensive unit and Lambert didn't like defending from what I remember COYB(aggies)
  3. Hi NN, I''ll take my chance with a ticket - although I''ll look at it as a donation with my luck I''ll send fiver via paypal. Take care
  4. It''s going well at the moment and don''t see why this shouldn''t continue, my nagging doubt is that other teams have deeper squads and in the end this might just count.
  5. He could also of send off Godfrey but only booked him, most Derby games are heated so need a good ref, he never lost control so top marks.
  6. Sorry I missed last week, a last minute flight to the sun! it was an exciting week to and a great effort by both pickers. This week I''m tipping Mansfield fresh from their best ever win in the cup to beat a Colchester side who suffered a penalty defeat on the same night and are just bang average. Mansfield V Colchester Home win. For the match bet, I''ll back Krull to show why we were all delighted when he signed and bounce back from an indifferent performance last week and predict a 2-0 away win.
  7. Great to be back to this thread, and I can only add my thanks to Nutty and all involved for keeping this thread going. A difficult first week so the very best to Cosmic. with expectations high at the City ground and IMHO some very good proven championship signings I''m going for them to hit the ground running at Ashton Gate Bristol City V Nottingham Forest AWAY win For the City bet, I think the expected hot weather might be the winner of this one and take an early season 1-1 draw Good luck to the pickers.
  8. Time to tune into Teletext again page 302 if my memory serves me right. OTBC
  9. Fulham. The best two sides at carrow road this season were Wolves and Fulham so imo they should be the two promoted sides.
  10. I hope the best wishes extend to all at NCFC too. - im sure they all.
  11. Plymouth to win away at Gillingham In the English First Division for the city bet, to stay above Ipswich we just need to match heir score and they will get beat by Middlesboro so a 1-1 draw to finish off the season. And to add my thanks to Eddie for the work he puts in during the season.
  12. sorry to MMMK but I''m going to muddy the waters, with Liverpool all but assured of the champion league spot for next season and with one eye on Wednesdays trip combined with Paul Lamberts fantastic record at Anfield - I don''t think he''s been beat there?- I''m going for a shock and Stoke to win. Liverpool V Stoke away win. For the match bet, I''ll take Norwich to be awarded a penalty and Wes to score it in a double at just over 14/1.
  13. High flying Plymouth need to keep the pressure on the top 6 and should be to good for a terrible Northampton side (and they are odds against!) Northampton V Plymouth Away win. For the match bet It''s the we''ve nothing to play for and Preston are hanging on by their finger nails to a very unlikely play off place. I do think we are playing well but just can''t score enough goals. we might just suffer again this weekend -Preston to win BTTS Good luck pickers
  14. Leitner and Trybull midfield and £25m in the bank for Maddison would be great business. if we could also secure Reed and maybe persuade Tettey to stay , add the youngster we have out on loan and the midfield would start to look okay. imo
  15. Good luck to both Crabby and GP for my suggestion, its with a rather guilty feeling I''m going to suggest Forest who haven''t scored in over 550 minutes entertain Ipswich, who after MM has left will get full support from their away following whilst Forest will feel all the pressure, at 7/2 I reluctantly suggest a good value AWAY win. Forest V Ipswich AWAY win. For the match bet I hope Mr Farke has learnt from the direct game that QPR played and can adapt, all the pressure will be on Cardiff so I''ll take a 2-1 home win.
  16. Speith is normally a very good front runner but had a few break yesterday. I suspect he will remain in and around the leaders but I fancy somebody will shoot very low. Rory could easily be that man as could Dustin Johnson, Matt Kuchar, Rickie Fowler and many more. For me Tiger won''t do it this year as is game is still a bit rusty. Would love to see Fleetwood at the top come Sunday.
  17. Portsmouth to win away at Rochdale for me, Pompey are just outside the play offs and flying at the moments. For the match bet, I was one of the few who enjoyed the Fulham performance and another like that might just cause Brucey and his team a few problem I''ll take a narrow victory and go for a 2-1 Good luck ladies.
  18. After 17 years I''ve given up my ticket, not because I have stopped supporting our team or even because of cost, it''s purely because my son, has now got other interests and does want to commit to every week. there fore it would be better to let somebody who does want to commit to going every week have the tickets and we''ll try and get casual tickets as and when we want/can. I honestly have enjoyed watching the transition of this season and fully expect further improvement next season - despite the probability of losing further players.
  19. With the exception of maybe Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester City, do any other teams play good attacking football these days? Yesterday QPR played the big man up front and feed of him is this exciting? Ipswich play a direct style and get slaughtered for it, Cardiff too but as results are going for them it''s accepted. We play a slow (sometimes too slow) build up and get criticised, I think what we are missing is the variety of play that can and does change when needed. Fulham seem to have this as they seemed to break quickly at times and keep possession at others - but appeared to make the right decisions at the right time. One other thing Klose last season was very poor, he''s learnt, adjusted and now looks the class act we know he can be. If other progress and learn like this next season could be a whole lot better.
  20. There were i believe 27 different selections not including the odd Good Friday match! Having uses about 30 pages with different permutations- my final 6 are going to be spread through the weekend Saturday Newcastle to beat Huddersfield Raith to beat Albion Sunday Atletico Madrid to beat Deportivo Granada to beat Lorica then hopefully on to Monday with Blackburn to beat MK Dons Coventry to beat Yeovil(my selection) Hopefully this will give us some entertainment over the bank holiday and if good luck is on our side a nice little boost for the CSF boys and girls. Fingers crossed and have a great weekend everybody.
  21. Thanks for intro NN and as you say my performance so far this season is certainly more Naismith than Maddison. Therefore my fellow PUPs I need all the help I can get. I will be at the game on Friday so will be posting on Friday night. For the Fulham game, I think there needs are greater than ours and I think this may be reflected in the outcome so I''d go for a correct score of 1-3 in their favour (head ruling the heart) I look forward to seeing your selections over the next few days
