  1. we need to give him time, I'm told by a friend of mine who lives in the Birmingham area, that he's a top guy and passionate about football and they feel he was harshly treated by Villa. - Given time and a little bit of license in the transfer market - even if it's sell to buy. I just hope he brings a style that entertains. Last Saturday was Houghton revisited, so bad after 60 minutes I turned over and watched Cambridge.
  2. anybody who's played the game will relate to this - having beaten your man to get hauled down is so frustrating. I'm just glad Williams took time before he reacted impulsively.
  3. The football we played under Farke was more enjoyable and structured- in fairness the results werent any better though. I think Smith will do okay but his Villa Squad was stronger than we have currently got.
  4. Leicester had one Mr Shakespeare at this time I believe. - and there's no substitute for experience.
  5. no doubt, standing terraces at matches reduced the crowd noise/participation at most grounds
  6. No problem with this, we did the same business as Leicester, West Ham and Leeds all of these clubs have rich owners but didn't/couldn't spend. I think we need a DCM if Norman is gong to be in and out but if we get the plyers back then against 30% of the league we give ourselves a chance. The transfer window is hyped by the media
  7. My thoughts exactly - defender should of fallen to the floor clutching his head !!
  8. VAR offside should be based on feet only generally the forward is leaning towards goal with the defender leaning away from goal - the rule used to be a player "standing" in an offside position. It would surely make the decision easier and therefore quicker - if its not clear then the on field decision stands. I dont think VAR should check every goal either.
  9. Honestly one of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet. I was lucky enough to be coached by Mendham, Ian Crook and Steve Bruce all really good "normal" guys.
  10. Its a fair point , I dont see any of our players not trying some are individually not to PL standard and as a collective we are falling well short. - does that mean we should insult players? Ive no issues with people expressing opinions, - even ones I don't share- or constructive criticisms and as a pro footballer you should be able to accept these - if not dont read them. - but you shouldnt be subject to abusive personal attacks. IMO.
  11. probably wouldn't squeal though ? foolish/Naïve by Aarons but he certainly made the most of it.
  12. Not had a good couple of weeks although picking Ipswich and them no winning is sort of a win/win. This week for Young Kevin, I'll go for Blackburn to Beat Bristol City (who can't buy a win, so they'll be happy I've picked Blackburn :-)) For Kathy, a very difficult week to be handed this task but with the weight lifted of finally getting the first win and a united Carrow Road crowd - I'll suggest a narrow 2-1 victory. Good luck to both pickers
  13. Having put the mockers on our friends down south last week - I'm hoping to get back to winning ways this week and will offer a little bit of value Bristol Rovers V Northampton Away win. All the very best with your picks Purple. For the Norwich bet Neither Lampard or Smith to be our next Manager 🙂
  14. Hi Pups , Not a popular choice but Ipswich to beat Oldham in the FA Cup on thier way to a 3rd round local Derby 🙂 for the match bet i'm staying positive -we cant keep making daft mistakes like last weekend so an away win. good luck everybody.
  15. Evening all, To try and help Diane i'll stick to what I know most about EFL League 2 NORTHAMPTON to beat Carlisle for the six For Hector i'm going for a simple home win - the bet being simple not the win. Good luck to both pickers in raising some money for the pot.
  16. Afternoon Pups, Tranmere to beat Carlisle for Jellytot And For Greg - I'll go for a Home win BTTS & Pukki to score at any time Good luck to the pickers and all you pups but most of all to the boys in Yellow.
  17. Good afternoon Pups, and in particular our weekly pickers, For the Big 6 I'd have a look at Plymouth taking the 3pts back to Devon after a trip to the Imps As for the match bet I too think Normann might be the man and would take a punt on him to score first. All the very best, have a great weekend all.
  18. Good afternoon Pups This weeks offering is from the trapdoor that is the championship -and go for a Mario inspired Stoke to beat Hull good luk Sid For the match bet i'll go for our first clean sheet and our first point in a 0-0 draw and wish NYC the very best of luck. COYY.
  19. Thanks NN at 1-1 i thought we might be on for much bigger things. Really poor weekend and hardly a silver lining but a few quid in the pot gives us a little sparkle. Really bad luck Graham Well fingers crossed for next week for us and the team Thanks for the opportunity NN and thanks to all for your selections
  20. Evening Pup's Thanks for your selection's a good variation and it seems most of you think this is the game that will see us gain our first 3 points of the season? With confidence high and a selection of possible goal scores I'm splitting the bet like this please Nutty. Any one of these bets come in and we'll show a profit - Fingers Cross Norwich Win £5 Fun Bets Omobamidele to score at any time £1 Norwich to win from behind £1 Watford to miss a penalty £1 Safety Net - (just look at our record v Watford) Both teams to Score Watford Win £2 Great motivational press conference today by the Boss, I hope all of you who are going to the game listen to DF and can help our boys turn this into a celebration. Again thanks for this opportunity Nutty - lets hope this, and Grahams selections can add some money to the CSF Pot. wishing you all a great weekend and enjoy the match.
  21. Tilly, - just to let you know Young Nana is fit and well and expecting a younger nana to fall from the tree in a few weeks time 🙂
  22. Good afternoon Pup's and thanks for the lovely intro NN. Now then Pups last time I did this task, I found a bit of value with a Russell Martin worldy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkkd7l5dJ if you want to see it. and was a season ticket holder - nowadays I'm an armchair fan due to the varying KO times - but no less enthusiastic - but with no Russel Martin! So I'm going to need each and everyone of you to help this week please I shall post my bets on Friday evening so please keep them coming. For Graham and the big 6 I'll predict a Exeter to beat Sutton and wish him all the best with his selections. Get those selections in please guys & gals.
  23. Morning Pups, good luck to our picking couple this week. Selections for consideration To boost the coffers Sheffield Wednesday to enjoy their trip to plymouth and return with all 3 points For the match bets new boy Kabak to score at any time Good luck to all pups
