  1. Hahaha, that''s ridiculous. However Marcus bent...Could be possible. Good player, I think Birmingham were interested and it was around the 800k 1 mil mark, although I may just have made that up.
  2. If we had a squad depth of the likes of Birmingham etc then I''d say go for it. But with the possibilities of injurys its just far too big a risk. Play a weakened team and hope, I mean if all these players think they''re good enough to be in our first team then they should beat Torquay...right?
  3. He looks a little bad at commanding his box, but he''s a good shot stopper, as we saw at the end of last game, made a few great saves towards the end of last season too.
  4. The comedy, the saves, the hair..where do i start. Truly one of my favourite players for the time he''s been here. A great asset to our squad. Good luck Greeno, all the best.
  5. Yeah great idea, so all the clubs go hang on, if they''re buying we''ll raise our prices a little..
  6. Definetly that spurs save. I remember watching in awe. That save against stoke was pretty good, but from what I rememeber that save was top notch.
  7. He was some old guy who stod up when everyone was looking at him and shouted come on you hatters. Loads of our fans went nuts! swearing and such, about to linche the guy. Thought it was all a bit childish really.
  8. the kids ones are, few years back when i was eligble for them my dads mate used it for the games which I couldn''t attend. Pretty sure they were a diffrent colour, but nothing was ever said. In all fairness, situations like that aren''t too bad, It''s gonna be an empty seat otherwise.
  9.  "Keep the faith" as in he''ll turn the club back to what he used to have it like, a success. I don''t think many were saying he wasn''t to blame for last season, If it''s a told you so then it''s for saying keep the faith isn''t it, I mean it''s in their name, surely you noticed that.
  10. Now I''ve stuck by Worthy throughout this campaign to get shot of him, but it seems that before the season has really got underway I just want to see the back of the guy. I''m not talking about Leeds yesterday, although I''m not best pleased about it. More the transfer situation..One player is all we''ve got in. One. Granted he seems fairly good, but when I see the likes of Derby, Coventry etc snapping up players who are more than fairly good, for good money, It''s very disheartening. Our supposed relationship with Arsenal has proved useful...Got any players you want shot of arsene? well..no..but I''ll send half of my reserve team out to other chamionship sides...Just ridiculous. Could we not have had ONE of those?! Everyone has brought in signings left right and center. Yet were happy to use the players that managed a lowely 9th last season. Ok so were not "happy", but it''s a managers job to bring in new players and frankly, it''s a job he''s bloody terrible at. We shouldn''t be waiting 3 years for a right winger, that position should be sorted, with cover. Same goes for the rest of the positions. I had hope when I saw Earnshaw come in, but we should be a side going somewhere. The list of players that we could have signed is incredible. Soton playing today...Southampton will parade a host of debutants with Kelvin Davis, Pele, Marcelo Sarmiento and Bradley Wright-Phillips pushing for starts.Fellow new boys John Viafara and Mario Licka have got international clearance but Rudi Skacel is short of fitness.Birchall to Coventry, ryan smith, oakley, larsson, campbell, higginbotham. This is just the last few days.Worthy saying he has spent most of the transfer kitty, well spend the rest of it then! He''s done it for us in the past, but enough of nostalgia, he has to go.
  11. Ruud van nistleroy.. wear my holland kit thru town and sign the autographs from time to time.
  12. Ok, so were "desperate" for cover at left back. If drury gets injured or loses form right? So we don''t need any cover for the right hand side then? A player who were yet to see play for us, a player who looks unfit and according to previous fans is best used as a sub? Can barely last a game? Don''t get me wrong I''m chuffed to bits that Croft is here. But to say the right side is more sorted than the left back situation is a little dubious.
  13. Sutton Isn''t going to get high wages playing for nobody, Doubt there''s many queues at the guys door considering how bad he was last season. Plus; this whole right sided mid-fielder thing isn''t exactly "sorted". From what I''ve heard and read (and seen!) Croft Isn''t exactly fit, he''s not impacted games as a starting player, and barely lasts matches. He''s got more impact as a sub apparently, which is great, but we still have to play someone there. As for a target man, Thorne is our top scorer, and had a great season with Earnie a few seasons back. If you lot say Sutton is good despite his bad season last season then you have to give thorne a chance. I know Thorne Isn''t in the same league as Sutton, but they''re a similar kind of player, and the money could be better spent.
  14. My first shirt was the tartan one back when i was about 6 or 7. To be honest I bought a load of shirts from ebay, got about 15-20 and even the only slightly old ones (digital cell phones etc) still get a run out when i have a kick about. Hunting down older keeper shirts is frustrating, especially as there is some amazing ones. I collect "retro" goalie shirts, but only the well...more unusual ones.
  15. Used to love seeing him come on when I was younger, trying to rile up the fans. That''s a wicked goal.
  16. Form over the last part of a season means very little, our form at the end of our premiership folly was enough to put us in chamions league contention, yet look at us now.
  17. Of all the rubbish you''ve posted Wiz, this is pretty close to the top. Obscene gesture..Please. The amount of swearing that is on the pitch is ridiculous, It''s hardly insulting, more comical. He was angry, and rightly so. He''s the best keeper in this division, and we jeer him. Nice work, hopefully he wants to move now. Keeper''s don''t get enough praise as it is. He was awesome that match, motm in my eyes. Yet it''s all about some stupid gesture. Get off your bloody high horse and don''t just give the guy a break, get behind him. Probably the best player we have at the club. But sure, "sod off" Greeno.
  18. I used to be friends with Fisk when we were kids, he used to be good then. Seems to be finding the net quite often so can''t be too bad. Great to see the club promoting youngsters. Now just hope we play them before the end of the season. Season''s over so always worth giving them the time to play. Saw a few of our youngsters play at Ipswich a few months back, was impressed with a lot of the team, but then I don''t have much to compare to in other youngsters. But comparing performances to our current team some of them could string more passes together...
  19. A keeper myself I thought Greeno had a fantastic game if not motm performance. The amount of game winning saves he made was crazy. We have the best keeper in this division, and we get on his back. And you wonder why he gets frustrated. A player with a personality, obvious skill and potential. A credit to the club and stuck with us and earned his place. But yeah sure, get rid of him, lets get rid of hucks too yeah? Surely Earnshaw''s celebrations a little odd, get shot of him too?
  20. Jesus!! Look at the positivity shot down in flames!! New poster posts his feelings about a good performance, and he''s hung drawn and quartered.Ok far too positive and dreaming a little but some of you are built of spite. Replace the word worthy with barmy and you''d all be fine with it. Worthy''s not really doing too bad at the moment after all. So give him a break.
  21. Sorry to fuel the somewhat ridiculous fire, but...We play all the teams between us and the playoffs.wolves play preston.Preston - plymouth (a),Crewe(h),coventry(a),Norwich(h),leicester(a),wolves(h),hull(a),leeds(h)Wolves - sheff wed(a),plymouth(h),coventry(a)watford(h)preston(a)brighton(h)norwich(a)Cardiff - qpr(h)soton(a)reading(h)sheff utd(h)crewe(a)norwich(a)coventry(h)Cardiff have a hard old run, teams with something to play for, Wolves somwhat the same and preston play a few good teams too. Were the team in form, as weird as that sounds. Results against the teams challenging would put us in a great position. Two games could change it all. Although Preston do have a game in hand. I''m not saying we can do it, but it''s possible...Nice to dream Isn''t it.
  22. Shack against palace was one of his, if not his worst performance in a city shirt. God awful, but that was three years ago. He''s improved now...well..hopefully..
  23. Was fisk playing well? Used to go to school with him and see his dad all the time.
  24. OK, recently I posted about how I was angry at a lot of WO''s for being angry even when we won. It mdae me think about the whole season in general and how at that start of the season I said to my dad, "If we don''t even make the playoffs, I''ll be bloody dissapointed". Now our position at the moment. Yes, It''s awful. But could Worthy possibly be doing worse this season. Now I mean realisticly. Realisticly we could have topped this league this season, but I don''t feel we could be much worse than well...where we are. Hence my thinking that any manager could do a better job this season than Worthy has. I''m not really in either camp. WO or KTF. They both have their pros and cons. Would a different manger have us at a higher position this season? Quite possibly...But could a manager have us at a lower position this season...To be honest, I doubt it.
