  1. [Sucks air sharply through teeth]. Your nickelwanglerwarflesprocket is gone mate; you're gonna need a new one.
  2. We're second now for the first time in ages.
  3. I hadn't seen that clip before. As stated; a wonderful example of the attitude and approach that has got us here.
  4. I'm glad Trybull made it too. There was some doubt.
  5. I believe he can get a tablet to help him with that.
  6. Too many to choose from. Almost all of the [virtually] ever-presents have made such a massive contribution to our fantastic season. I was tempted to go with Zimbo because of his character and for the effort he puts in off the pitch as well as on. I feel bad not voting Pukki for the goals and for the sheer graft the guy puts in but in the end I went with Emi simply because the lad has been such a joy to watch. I think that flick won me over.
  7. I fancy a goal for Cantwell tonight. The stage is set...
  8. Jesus, Pete! Did any of that first paragraph make sense in your head before it all dribbled out over the keyboard and onto our screens in glorious stream-of-consciousness-o-vision? Even the thread title is afflicted with it! I agree with the handful of observations and sentiments I was able to extricate from the passage, though (ooer!) I do love the prospect of fulfilling promotion creams, though. Made my day, that one.
  9. Maddison over Pritchard for me too. No hesitation, no question.
  10. Sounds painful. I recommend a serving of prunes for that.
  11. Newly promoted teams often seem to do reasonably well their first season in the Premier League (perhaps because of sheer adrenaline or perhaps because of unfamiliarity to the existing teams) but the struggle seems to begin thereafter. It will be interesting to see how Wolves do next season and beyond. As many have stated above, though, the platform they have built on is somewhat different to ours and we will make our own way. I love what Webber was saying about how we would approach the Premier League in his recent interview. I really hope we get the chance to see it play out.
  12. Aye. I think that team that went up with Green, Drury, Fleming, Mackay etc. went largely unchanged throughout most of the the season too. There is something to be said for consistency and familiarity. That may need to be balanced against workload occasionally and I do worry that replacements could be 'rusty' or not match fit if called upon after an extended period out of the side, but so far this season the replacements have actually performed well when called upon. Should we find ourselves in the Premier League next season (I'm still not enumerating any poultry at the moment but we are so, so close now) I'm sure the consistency and familiarity will stand us in good stead if we can keep hold of most of our key players and add one or two judicious upgrades.
  13. Yeah, I don't have any particular dislike for them myself but I have read quite a few accounts on here of our supporters who have been attacked or intimidated by Wolves-supporting thugs after away games there on occasions so this could well be where things have lingered for a while after the Muscat incident.
