1. It just makes me love Paul Lambert a little bit more, which I didn''t think was possible.
2. MOTD really is p*ss poor these days. It manages to make the Football League Show look good. Shearer is just a joke, he''s never said anything insightfull or of interest... ever!
3.
"If they do then they should have got on the season ticket list a few years ago when we were in league 1." I wonder how many of them won''t be on the list come next summer, how many of those ''die hard fans'' will be ''bitching'' when their prices become ''realistic''. Of course the club is going to maximise the income but I have to wonder where those who got on the list were before they ''got on the list''. The presumption that you are not a supporter because you do not have a season ticket is a nonsense as much as it is offensive. Most of the lads I knocked about at games in the 70''s and 80''s no longer go, not through financial reasons but simply that the heart of the club seems to have been ripped out of it. Where there was once passion and a grasp of the game there is now happy clappies there for the experience. That experience used to be in the pub before the game, talking about the game and lord knows what else. The experience is now whatever the club puts on before the game. The experience is a tacky choreographed waving of outsized flags rather than the spontaneous exuburence of celebration tthat the last home game always was. The experience is now having wretched piped music blasted out at various stages in the game to let the happy clappies now what is happening. Fine, things change. But change the nature of the game too much and when the razzamatazz goes, when it is just football again don''t be too suprised when the happy clappies move unto the next experience and those who were there for the football are no longer there either.
Well said City1st! These prices are really taking the p*ss. It''s no suprise though, nearly every game last season was Grade A. I hope prices are reduced by the same percentage when we''re back in the championship. The pubs with the right satellite dishes will be doing a roaring trade next season I think!
4. The Zenit one is Portsmouth ''92, intut?
5. Apparently McVeigh is back in the squad!
6. I think that video might be my favourite thing ever. Watched it 5 times now.
7. Not sure about the collar at first, but I''m starting to like it the more I see it. The promotional video is hilarious! Wessi on a Vespa, ha!
8. Mark Bright is by some distance the worst pundit in the history of football. His total ignorance about the subject he is somehow paid to talk about is breathtaking. He just babbles on incoherently most of the time and his “insights” are usually met with total silence.
9. They''re just a small town in Birmingham. Imagine how cr*p it must be to support them, since being relegated from the Prem 10 years ago they''ve done absoluely nothing. Never even got close to the play-offs.
10. Can you polish that trophy for us, we need it for the civic reception on Tuesday. Ta.
11. I’ve heard a whisper that the Norfolk Cup Final has been postponed again so we can have our parade/civic reception. That is all.
12. I watched the Swansea game at the Jubilee in Thorpe Hamlet. It''s a great little pub, but there''s the problem -little. A great atmosphere (even though we lost) but standing room only.
13. At least we don''t sign players with dodgy registrations and then try to cover it up.
14. The Norfolk Cafu - my player of the season. How many other Championship sides can boast such a classy defender?
15. When I got my Cov ticket, the guy at the club shop said as it was only a few rows from the front it would be easy to get on the pitch and celebrate! I kid ye not, officially sanctioned by a club employee.
16. Henry Winter was far more complimentary in The Torygraph..."If Norwich are to keep the second automatic ticket to ride the Premier League gravy-train, and Cardiff City and Reading will have something to say about that, or rise via the play-offs, then Lambert’s attractive side will be a delight to behold on the elite stage."http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/championship/8467817/Ipswich-Town-1-Norwich-City-5-match-report.html
17. I''ve got a bad feeling about this, Chewie.
18.
And this will go against the grain. Three times I have seen people taking a dig at McNally for choosing to go with Errea instead of getting a Nike, Adidas or Umbro deal.Anybody who wants a Nike deal go and support Manchester United. I would refuse point blank to buy anything with a Nike logo on it, I would get a retro kit instead. If you want to spend £50 on a shirt made for 50 cents in a third world country in sweat shops in Bangledesh so that the club can make a couple of quid more profit then knock yourselves out. Nike and Adidas are despicable companies owned by greedy capitalist pigs and any Nike product has blood on it. Feel free to read No Logo by Naomi Klein for more information on that. Or of course you could go with Umbro, that very ''British'' company that makes their shirts in China, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Korea.Errea shirts are, to the contrary, are made in a factory in Palma - Northern Italy, a country in which unions negotiate a minimum wage on an industry by industry or factory by factory agreement. Next year you will be wearing a shirt made by people earning a wage that they can live on, by a company who have kept production in their country of origin (unlike Umbro). That to me means a lot more than a Nike tick. I don''t own anything with a Nike tick on by the way, and say what you like about the Burberry boys, but they are buying British made clobber and supporting an impoverished town in Yorkshire. F*ck Nike, give me Errea any day. I think that I am right in saying that our Xara kits are, or at least were, made in Perth (Scotland). If so, we are carrying on a fine tradition.Of course, the same armchair glory hunting monkeys on stock up on Megastore Nike goods are the same people who moan about the lack of jobs in their working class once-industrialised towns with declining manufacturing industries.Shove your Nikey up your arse.
Goddamn Commie.
19. First of all, the Football League should ban teams from sharing their grounds with egg-chasers. The state of that pitch was a disgrace. The combination of ploughed field and clueless ref reminded me of Tranmere away last season *shudder*Onto the game, if you''d offered me the point at half-time I''d have happily taken it. Our defence seemed to panic in the face of pretty basic tactics from Watford - hoof the ball up-field as quickly as possible. I thought Ward was poor for the second game in a row. Jackson again looked very lively and it was good to see McNamee get a good run out again. Moving on to Friday, we need to check our nerves in at the turnstiles. Create an atmosphere like we did against Bristol and Scunny. Scunthorpe were beaten before they''d kicked a ball, they s**t their pants when they heard that noise before kick-off.There''s still all to play for, let''s get behind the boys and do this. OTBC
20.
Swansea have only lost 3 times at home!!!They''ve only conceded 9 (NINE)  goals at home!!!We''re still second!!!!!And that''s only after reading a couple of post of rubbish on here tonight!!FFS get a grip some of you! That is all......[:|]
Amen brother.
21.
They looked like the first team this season who had actually done their homework on us. How many times this season have we taken the home team by surprise by how positive we are? Swansea played like the away side and to be fair scored two very good goals. They rode their luck and every Swansea fan will know deep down that they were beaten by a far better side. We should take the positives from this and move on.
I meant to say that Swansea had beaten a far better side, but I''ve been sitting in the sun all day and drinking heavily. So... y''know.
