  1. I actually like to see Holt taking to the ref. He plays with passion and attitude that we have missed for far too long. Iwan and Fleck did it too and I loved them for it. Too long we''ve just taken what we''ve been given. Nice Norwich. None of the players got booked so they didn''t overstep the mark. It''s part of the game that we''ve been naive to for far too long.

  2. I notice Beckford was absent from the starting line-up yesterday. Talk of him refusing a new contract so is he on his way in January? There are so many games left, it''s far from as clear cut as saying they will only lose three games. They haven''t played Southampton H & A who are certainly in a false position, They have us and Charlton away. The distraction of a possible Man Utd FA Cup tie. Their fans'' expectations… Plenty of twists and turns yet. I just don''t see why we should just settle for trying to catch Charlton. Aim for the top. I''m sure Lambert will be thinking the same and so he and the squad should be.

  3. When were Norwich ever a major force? I really do wonder about some of the people on this message board. I''d rather play passing football than neck-ache, crash and thunder football of Bolton or Blackburn. Hey, we should be a established Premiership club – let''s get a huge debt, splash wages on mediocre dross players, and bask in the glory of a 12th or 13th position … waiting until a rash of injuries plummet us into the division below and into financial meltdown. Alternatively we can be a club for the community, supported by the community, playing football in the right way and trying to establish ourselves through hard work, steady growth and prudent management.

  4. Living near Charlton, Lisbie has been the target for the boo boys but the guy has rarely but fit or given a good run in the team. These are the same boo boys who have been calling for Curbishley to sling his hook!!!! Lisbie should feel at home at Carrow Road then ; ) Give the guy a chance, the one thing he does have is pace and he''s direct, if there''s one thing that frightens Championship defences it''s pace. A prudent loan deal if you ask me.

  5. I thought what he said was correct. None of the team on and off the pitch are performing to how we know they can and it''s up to them and the fans to stick together and back each other. We know the team will get better. I thought Fleming had a good game, Hucks looked dangerous and if anything Ashton was way below par. So let''s all hound Ashton, oh, and Leon cos he had a lousy game too!!!

Alternatively we can all stick together support the team and management and we will get better! Exactly what Adams was saying. Some people on this board start panicking are a few poor performances which it could be argued we have had enough opportunities to win 10 games nevermind four. Answer: Sack Worthy!! It''s clueless after five games! Newcastle did just that last season and they looking even worse now!! Okay, sack Worthy, Tell me who you would get instead??? Who?? Terry Venables isn''t up to much or Ron Atkinson, perhaps Peter Reid. Pleease! If you advocate Worthy getting booted out and least have the sense or forethought to offer an alternative instead of the kneejerk, mindless posts that appear on here.

Travelling back from the game fans were actually saying why didn''t we cash in on Ashton when we had the chance. Unbelievable!!!

  6. Why are people getting misty-eyed over Svensson? Limited player. He''s gone, move on. I doubt he would have any impact on the game yesterday other that be another target of the boo boys at the minute. Glad to see we are getting behind Leon in his bad patch. Or even Ashton come to that! Nice support lads.

  7. I agree with you Link. I didn''t think Marney was quite strong enough in central midfield especially against a physical and aggressive Leeds team. Leon, Ashton, Hucks, Brennan had enough chances to win this game. Shacks and Fleming did well against an overly physical Leeds front line. I thought we deserved to get something out of the game.

No one has mentioned Uriah Rennie. I thought he had a bad game allowing Leeds to get away with a lot of physical stuff and why after booking Hulse for his challenge on Shacks [who should have got booked in the first half for exactly the same thing] did he not book him again for celebrating his goal off the pitch. He was a weak ref who let things go – hence the aggro on the touchline at the end with Leon and Hucks. A poor, poor performance.

  8. There was a preverse pleasure in it all. McKenzie''s shooting was woeful all night – I couldn''t contain my laughter when one shot hit the big Cow Shed sign in the stand. The atmosphere was muted throughout until they skied a penalty and we just reveled in the misery of it all. Greeno wasn''t bothered at one stage and just booted the ball the ballboy had thrown to him high back at him. It was dire stuff but 24 hours on, I keep smirking at the madness of it all. Why, oh why do we do it to ourshelves? Then trying to explain to the missus how I spent the evening after wearily returning home at 1am! Still a win is a win.

  9. I''m with Dicky to a large extent. I can''t understand the booing. I could understand if the team was uninterested, not bothered or gave a well-below par performance. But is that what we are getting? Whatever you thing of Hughes or Flem – you can''t fault their effort and if they give 100% in the yellow shirt than shut it.

Ashton has missed a good few golden goal-scoring opportunities against Crewe and Crystal Palace but we know he''s quality, gives his all and will come good. Personally, I think booing [for three games in a row] is counter-productive.

Get behind the team and wait for the team to click into gear and watch us produce the performances.

As for some of the posters on here, they''re attention seekers. Sure criticise but make it constructive offer solutions rather than the Worthy Out! [who would you want instead] Hughes is rubbish [give the guy a few more games], Flem must be dropped [thought he played okay against Palace].

    But it takes all sorts

  11. Okay wiz, st john two games you get rid of Worthy. Who have you got in mind as a replacement, a manager with Premiership and Championship winning experience? You are clueless.Personally I think we a game or two away from clicking into gear. We will be there or thereabouts at Christmas. Rome wasn''t built in a day.On another note, I thought Crystal Palace were pretty impressive yesterday and despite them being below us [Dowie out!] they will be up there as well.Nice to see their supporters getting behind the team at the end instead of booing. I bet the Norwich boys can''t wait for their first away day. Booing is totally counter productive.

  12. … that would be half-a-season Premiership player with a attitute problem. Hence, in the end, only Wigan were willing to pay the money. Charlton, Fulham, Portsmouth in the end realised what they would be getting. Tom Huddlestone and all are younger, have more potential as u-21 internationals and a better attitude. I think the deal we got for Francis was as good as we could have got especially as he''d backed himself into a corner and Worthington was, quite rightly, unwilling to have a disruptive element in his club. Alex Ferguson and Lee Sharpe spring to mind.

  13. The way Tim "showpony" Sherwood chased the money at Blackburn Rovers after, I believe, refusing to start pre-season training always rackled me. I also hate players leaving the club for a team in the same division as you know they are going to get on the scoresheet. I recall Efan Ekoku doing just that for Wimbledon at Carrow Road circa 1994-95, I think
