1.
Football used to be a game for the working masses where clubs represented their communities and were for ALL who lived in those communities. If you buy a season ticket, it doesn''t mean it''s your club, or that you have any special privileges or some sort of higher status as a fan. That''s why the club is called ''Norwich City Football Club'' and not ''He Likes Paella''s Football Club''. The club is for the people of Norwich, not for the ''haves'' that can afford to pay inflated premier league prices and happen to have the lifestyles that allow them to give up every Saturday afternoon. Honestly, the views expressed here sum up everything that is wrong with the Murdoch / Sky Sports / Premier League era; the privileged ''haves'' taking the game from the majority and claiming it as their own. If you really believe this is how football is, then you don''t deserve the season ticket, or to call yourself a ''fan'', irrespective of what you can afford or what songs you know.
Very well put,spot on.

Mate,Luton get average attendances of about 6,500 per game! They are a very well supported non-league club.No idea where you got your figures from.

Apologies Kirby, I have now seen the average is 5,676.  However of that would I be right in saying only 2,000 or so would be season ticket holders?  That was the point I was trying to explore.
I also apologise.I was a little blunt.

  3. To cut to the chase, who gives a monkeys about what their views are on the ticket price their club partly agreed to?

Also by reading their messageboards on and off for a few years now they seem quite a bitter/envious mob after ending up stuck in non-league football and 3 years of play-off failure, while the likes of Stevenage have progressed much quicker.

Prehaps Luton should consider a shirt deal with McCain Oven Chips,as thats the size of the bag some of their supporters wear on their shoulder....

  4. I guess we have a bit more of a say as the home club, but if the shoe was on the other foot they would also put their interests first. Our interests in this situation is trying to get a sell-out in an FA Cup game v a non-league side, hence charging 10 notes for an adult and 1 quid for kids.

  5.
I''m a season ticket holder. I can''t see what all the fuss is about. This was a chance for fans who are not usually in a good position, (for whatever reason), to get in early and get some tickets for a Third Round FA Cup Tie at Peterborough. It''s not Wembley; it''s not Camp Nou. When we get there, I imagine the Club will have a sensible and fair policy.
Agreed.

We do not have rich owners like many clubs both in the premier league and even in the championship. If we want our club to be able to compete financially we as fans will need to stump up more moving forward to give the club more fire power in the transfer market. I agree the current financial model for Premier league is crazy and would collapse overnight if sky sports ever decided to withdraw their support.

In the meantime I would support a significant increase in the price of tickets provided it all went into the playing side of the club. This would change the financial demographic of the club but would mean that a wealthier fan base would in the long run benefit the club.

Sounds like the ideas of a yuppy...
