1. How ever people try to jazz it up - it''s still Hull City trying to be something more than they really are. Relegation candidates the beloved Asian market love.
2. Are there any silver/gold season tickets ala Panini Football club badge stickers for our special fans while the riff raff get the Scottish League clubs squad photo? (note the wink before the elitist jump...)
3. Explain please. Quick swipe of card and gate opens, allowed in. Only problem arises when some buffoon tries repeatedly to go through a wrong gate. Close proximity cards are not new technology and have looked after for many years.
4. Wes on the wing? Don''t think so. First half Olsson, 2nd half more of Fer down there but moved central after Redmond come on, who then ran that wing. Wes''s passing today was very poor. Garridos corners poor 2nd half but passing generally perfect again. Another great ball in for our 2nd. Redmond though...he''s got something about him. Want''s it and I like that
5. Their biggest stat at the moment is the longest current team stuck in the 2nd tier with ever dwindling attendance. The only thing increasing is the gap between them and us and their debts. Now where did I put that fiver I saw them waving at me?
6. Fashionable icon matched with a unfashionable, unattractive football team with little history in their City. Can''t see the point and can''t see the over seas fans adopting them because of a ''Tiger'' being added to their name. Wasteful of resources hoping to get a few more fans not via the pitch.
7. Agree with most of the above. Still think part of midfield needs a bit more steel to work with Fer well. Olsson and Garrido clearly different. Nice to see Olsson bombing down while Garrido, although skinned twice still put in some decent crosses. Redmond perhaps needs to run and look up to find that killer ball after doing the hard work. RvW has awareness and pace and more to come of. Didn''t really get the ball to Hooper to see what he can do. RvW did seem to link with Fer well. Did think, what hasn''t been mentioned, is Turner got done for speed a few times - ok, still recovering/building self up after only just getting back. I''ll end with "Fer the Wolf" this season.
8. It''s only one game, what ever Premiership team he would of joined it would have been the same. Big deal. Better to have him the rest of the season than not at all.
9. Problem with ex players etc as pundits is bias. Some will like, most will hate. Like a good scripted villain in a film. You go back to hate them more. It''s bad though when the villains tend to be from high profile clubs. Didn''t like Lawro, though he had some weird humour in his Euro/World Cup games (if you listened closely in SA). Townsend though is the worst for us being a Judas....Danny Mills closely behind.
10. Never liked Wigan for numerous reasons: 1, Beat us in FA cup in ''87 (was there) 2, Poor support at home 3, Working in Wigan - a, Corrado VR6 as company car for a week being broken into (near stadium) in hotel grounds, b, next day working at a factory managers desk and finding his freshly cut set of toe & finger nail clippings on his desk next to bottle of diet coke. Fat pie man and I''m mentally scared for life. 4, It''s grim! 5, Previous managers (Bruce an exception) but at least a reasonable non moaning one wanting to do a job (and from his building of, far better than the one disposed of) But Now have two reasons to follow with a, Holt & Barnett and b, Teams they are playing next season (1p5wich and Leeds, along with QPR). Good luck to them and hope they walk it.
11. Time to have an average season for a change. Too many people getting carried away with the transfers but on the other hand, too many people pant wetting for silly reasons. I''m content looking forward to an average season we''re well overdue in any of the leagues we''ve been in for too many seasons. Will say it''s a bit carried away with the seasons start. First time we got relegated from the Premiership, t-shirts printed saying "On loan...". Look what happened. Season we had 3 home games on the trot and took 3 points. Do chickens count their eggs? Let''s be average and take from there with a couple of cup runs against stronger teams.
12. Can''t see West Ham spending that much more after Carroll - all their eggs now in one basket there for big transfers. Still maintain it has to £5+mil for them to even to make our board raise an eyebrow and the deal they deliver better than we can offer. They''ll get a cheap European import or lower league upstart to try and break into their main squad. Still not a fashionable squad in my opinion but just the lure of Premiership and being in London - only saving factor to the lowest team is Crystal Palace. Fulham far more credible and stable.
13. Best memories, early 80s. 1 - Milk Cup semi-final game, as brought up mainly in Diss region. Rivalry at high school. 2 - Promotion season away at Sheff Weds ''82. We lost but the painful wait for the Leicester result to come in. Worst? Relegation from the Premiership first time around, think it was Leeds and listening on the radio as it happened. Deehan not to blame as those high up killed our season with the mass sellings
14. I''d safely say 1 more, 2 at a push if someone like Fox/Butterfield/Surman were to go - can see one of those 3 going at some point.
15. Trying to do the maths here. Fer we got at a decent price, how much for? Rumours £5m give or take. Going rate probably right but as West Ham (without a hamstring injury or similar) whack another £2m on as I think both around the same level but Fer may drive more. £13m is going crazy and is in the top six price range for buying players (minus Arsenal who no one can work out at the moment). From watching Snodgrass last season, he still has the flaws. Left sided play and can over/under hit passes. When they come off...perfection. He''s getting there but not worth double figures yet
16. Was it £12m for a defensive midfielder? That''s a lot of money to spend for such a position for a lowly team imo. People have ranted/raved about money we could have spent on a high profile striker over £8m. I''d rather class this thread as Fer vs Wanyama and I know where the best money was spent but a country mile.
17. Flaw in the Mirror report - Snodgrass can only play on the right wing or up front. We tried him on the left a few times last season but he struggled. £5m not to bad but we need him. We won''t let him go easily. I''d question West Hams fair play financial fiasco after Fat Sam spat his dummy when originally couldn''t sign Carroll.
18. Had to look up Purples missing goal scorer and note that was the last game we won that season.
19. I remember watching the away game in a bar in the Costa Brava on satellite. Monday night football, pouring down causing an issue with the lines on the pitch fading. 2-1 to us and Newman also scoring.
20. Would either Newcastle, Villa or Everton be any of them?
21.

Anyone who feels Hooper is worth a larger transfer fee than cisse or would rather have Hooper loses all credibility in my eyes
And not a single person on this thread has said that.
Not said but heavily implied
No way would I want him for £9m. Half the clubs in the league would offend his religious beliefs, and it is probably the same with overseas leagues too.<div><br></div><div>Was thinking more along the lines of £4m personally. </div>
With Zipper that Cisse is worth far more that Hooper and you''ve said Hooper is only worth around £4mil in other posts. I''d much rather have a proven Premiership goal scorer/reputation than a wannabe. People complain Cisse had a bad season last year but people also grumble Holt has gone but had an even worse one than his previous one. Too many unhappy posters wanting the world for a little. Cisse would be a massive signing but alas, we are still little Norwich. I''d expect another Argentine other Cisse to appear to be honest and still wouldn''t grumble at. Hughton may be able to pull either off, prefer Cisse but more chance of the latter.
22.
Is this a round in Pointless?
If Ipswich were a Country...
23. Could be worse names mentioned, there''s always The Newton Flotman Wall Basher in Titus Bramble. You can run but you can''t drive Titus. He cost Newcastle £6mil back then....now that''s burning money
24.
Jonzey wrote: "I think this underlines exactly why you are in the main wrong. If you were talking about purchasing property, or a car, then you''d be right. But when you are talking about players that are bought to form a team it''s very different and that is really where your stance fails.
How many players have we purchased in the past 3 to 4 seasons and sold on for profit? I don''t think any manager has got such players in with that in mind but what he can get out of the player while here. Recent seasons, we''ve got the most out of regular players. Ups & downs in games but mainly got what we can out of them, if no good, shipped them out.
25. Hold on a moment. One part of this thread this evening, a private jet flies into Norwich - another account via Twitter is that Hughton is in Milan. Two key people in different places at the same time? Stories conflicting. Add to that WBA Sunderland and other clubs Offer turned down too but stories a week or so saying agreed. Who do you really believe? Wait for the player/agent/clubs to officially confirm something not unconfirmed Tweets or journalists selling bogus stories
