  1. And typical Muppet replies. Have an issue Nexus? typical Mum replies are from the deranged IMO who can''t sustain an decent reply but get offensive for no reason. Typical Muppet
  2. Stupid conspiracies by Muppet NCFC fans IMO! Same for the Muppet on Canary Call earlier. Do you all believe such stuff what goes through your minds sometimes? Get a flippin'' life!!!
  3. The Daily Express? 100 days of snow before he arrives.
  4. Still needs time. Ride the bad times and the good times will come. It''s still a decent squad and taking time to click. We''ve played well (forget Man City, they are on a roll) in previous games, lost badly in the final quarter but the football in itself is encouraging. Shame about a break next week as we could build on as the confidence came back after the penalty. Takes something to kick start and that could be it.
  5. A Canary From....and all your aliases....when will you leave this place? If all you can post about is Hughton or McNally in negatives and not the pro''s, what is your point? Is this site just for you to moan about things?
  6. Why a player or similar? We are Norwich. Walk down the Thames opposite side of the London Eye and a memorial of our war heroes. Rather have something similar myself. A walk down Carrow Road and similar spanning our short history...with a to be continued Goss strike a glorious pose for our best victory on tour but still other memories all can relate to.
  7. To me remembering anything over 10 years ago, stating the obvious, is so yesteryear. Ipswich awful for their antics in their short glory years. Rather listen to a Newcastle fan and lack of silver ware than a binman. For us? Cracking game, one to remember at the right time but not to make a big deal out. About the original post? Annoying the reporter can''t get some facts right but that is todays journalist. Pinch of salt, we''ve been in the top flight for the 3rd season - they are the current longest serving Championship team - long may that continue!
  8. Nathans not really had a gone run since the knock. IMO he needs to start off and then take off at 70 mins when found out/counter acted. The opposite of some impact players we had in the 1st/Championship. Definitely a player, wants to play, runs. Wasted on the bench at the moment. Pilks left, Redmond right at the moment. Snodgrass needs a rest and watch from the bench for all our sakes and bring on to prove a point. Isn''t that what we need if we have some depth in the squad, decent rotation and get the best out of players?
  9. The past couple of games our central midfield has improved vastly. Some of the balls going into the strikers areas be it from the wings or down the middle haven''t been great/consistent. Get this area sorted and I''m sure they''ll start earning their keep. Is clear Hooper has to be fed whereas RvW makes space/has pace. Two different strikers. Maybe against Cardiff it could be playing Hooper further up with RvW behind in an old Holt/Wes role? Why was Hooper invisible? Maybe down to a pretty decent Arsenal back line containing our boys.
  10. I do wonder about some of our fans. Past 3 games played well and out of this defensive model they''ve complained about. Against Chelsea & Arsenal we played well and kept into the game until the last 20 minutes. The difference? Both of these teams are top four teams with quality players and never personally never expected to get points off this season. If fans bemoan the way we played against them, god knows what they want from any manager. The next few homes games will show how we play and with how we have improved in the middle, I hope the the likes of RvW will start to open up and silence a minority of vocal fans.
  11. Rather be in that position now than at the end of the season. We will creep out and upwards but won''t start until after this weekend.
  12. And we have Redmond, #justsayin ;-)
  13. Sorry to pour water on the Jarrold stand. I believe with the Doomcaster facts, the Jarrold stand was built with the cheaper option where it couldn''t be expanded - they had two options at the time. The future wasn''t the real plan then. As much as the hotel was the best option for the club in the corner infill. All bad decisions in his famous hindsight quotes. Look where he is now and what he is doing. May be a nice person but awful in the job.
  14. Thanks! It''s the middle 3rd which needs tweaking - we have the players but a blend of attack and support. Love to say the days of Holt/Francis, Megson, Williams and Phelan. I think Fer will fall into that and make it his own when CH finds the right balance there. Who will he work best with, is he better further up or back? I think in a way he could play up front with Tettey behind or back with Wes or hate to say it Howson in front of. Little bit of a hint Johnson in his way in my opinion but open to debate. That is where I believe I fault lies - get the midfield settled/blending - decent wingers but need to win, hold and pass. Dictate from the middle. Again - Phelan, Williams, Megson eras. May be the modern game but could be our way of playing still.
  15. Life time? Ipswich in that Milk cup semi-final as a fan. That was the final after being at the 1st leg. B Munich away (on satellite) back then probably the best we''ve played to the occasion - more so with Ally McNally insisting in the build up we''d be thumped Other games? Era of Brazil with Zico, Socrates & Rivelino playing - not so high paced as today but they could play
  16. Spoke to some fans this week and their opinion is they don''t like the wolf. Nutshell "He doesn''t do much". Asked if they saw the away games they moaned about? Only on MOTD. Highlights program - end of debate. One went into one saying put Hooper on and lump the ball to him - as I pointed out the midfield were not winning enough v Spurs to supply. You could lump the ball to anyone, if we could win the ball against a strong spurs team at home on fire. It''s not RVW at fault. He has quality, he splits defenders, he runs, he''s not being fed. Hooper will be the same but probably sit further back in the play but get up when needed - two different players but both need the ball in the first place to have the shots. It''s tactics in the middle against differing teams which is hurting us away from home. I think Hull & Spurs in the middle should of been the other way around to get some result...but I''m not the manager. End of line, it''s not RVW the issue but the build up to feeding who is in the final 3rd - just like last year.
  17. More interested to see what they say about a deliberate hand ball out side the area by their keeper. Some smug pundit will say otherwise - wouldn''t have helped us any but...
  18. Same feeling COTW, was a hard team to play away from home. Too many blinkered fans believing we should of gotten a point minimal today. Spurs have been crude getting players in before selling Bale and have to admire.
  19. To have a go reeks of a 3rd/4th tier club trying to nick a goal at a 1st tier club in a cup match - senseless. We could have been thumped 6-0 easily but we didn''t. Posts like these make it sound like we are a top 5 club losing at home someone in the bottom 5. Open your eyes
  20. Reading a few comments above and others on all other threads today, some fans should just give up supporting - posting as thought beaten at home vs Palace. Stupid posts saying Hooper & van Wolfs worst moves/buys - beggers belief what some see. We should have been hammered but didn''t. Our midfield was poor and couldn''t get a handle but we weren''t slaughtered against a very good side. Shrugs shoulders at some of our fans with big chips on their shoulders
  21. Facepalm. Give him service and he''ll be alright - I''d look further back in the field first before comparing to that clown Town got in.
  22. What is the deal with some of our fans today? Not all. Spurs have spent well this past summer, the score line could of been worst. Many fans are posting, calling CanaryWhinge as though we deserve a win. In my opinion, this Spurs team is far superior to many we''ve played the past few seasons away. We got bossed, we lost midfield but still didn''t roll over. The officials biased in parts but you expect that against a top 6 side at home. I''m not losing any sleep over this result where a few will be wanting heads to roll. Why? Next week should be far better but against that Spurs team today, 1 point would have been flattering.
