Feeled compelled to right for the first time in ages. NCFC Star''s comments are the truest on this subject. A second tier to the City stand is the only future option on the table and would still be ...
I''m not sure that''s entirely correct. I know nothing about the plans for the City stand (and I don''t deny that it may well be the next stand to be added to), but I am aware that the Jarrold stand was designed with the capacity to be expanded to a second tier - as most new stands built in this country are - but it would obviously be a major undertaking to rework the roof. (I looked into this with interest when the original plans were announced as I was training as an architect at the time) -
Without Robinson, he must at least be second choice to James. So, I''d guess he''ll make at least one appearance. A US tour is hardly the most high-profile string of friendlies to slip up in, so I imagine Svenn will probably experiment a bit - eg. Peter Crouch?!

I''ll go with your song... more catchy I feel. ...as for mine. worryingly homo-erotic. I start to question whether my 23 years of homosexuality have been a mere charade...

What do you think of this????
Ark replied to Sheff Utd Fan's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
nice thought, but surely only wild speculation at this stage? I find it hard to believe that the club would already be out agreeing deals at this stage, even conditional ones. I''m sure they''re both on Worthy''s target list though! -
genius tfoth... surely too good to go to waste??? new idea... how about mixing the trusty otbc with something a bit more risque? suck it off, throat it in, have a little cottage, keep it hard, splendid gush, bravo, my oh my. bite the balls matey, never mind its a stranger, steady on, avalanche... hurrah, you''ve scored! blasphemy, i know, sorry...
-
I still can''t see it, especially if we end up needing a win. But hey, I''ve been wrong before... I thought we were down about three months ago!!! ...and I thought we''d never win the championship, go top vs the scum, sign huckerby, make the play off final etc etc etc... and I was absolutely certain that the club were doomed when worthy took over in the first place... shows what I know... and I wouldn''t even consider myself a negative person!
-
Point taken... It''s just always nice to have a one-off chant specific to the game/opposite set of fans. Maybe wait ''til the end tho for risk of jinxing the team like the "easy" chants at Palace seemed to. I suppose "on the ball city"''s always a safer bet!
-
Seriously now, has anyone got any special songs/chants/celebrations planned for sunday''s match? Haven''t managed to get to a game since West Ham in the cup so I''m a bit out of the loop on what''s been doing the rounds on the terraces.

This has probably been covered a few times... We have fair chance of finishing second to chelski in the premier fair-play table, or otherwise third behind spurs (which is fine if they qualify for uefa). The official table hasn''t been updated for a couple of weeks... http://www.premierleague.com/public/downloads/publications/Fair_Play_April_20th.pdf However, at the last count England were only about 4th or 5th in the euro table (Norway were top), so no automatic place. But, two further teams out of the next six nations were to be picked - so potentially a one-in-three shot!!
-
Anyone know of any chants for next week based on this hilarious nickname??? If not, any offerings?

Just thought I''d say how thoroughly I thought Hucks deserved the award yesterday (since nobody else seems to have mentioned it!).Although he''s sometimes looked a bit out of his depth this season - perhaps due more to the team as a whole than to any fault of his own - he has performed consistently and tirelessly and put the willies up a number of the country''s best defences. Plus his goals and assists have been invaluable.Hucks was the one man that transformed our season last year, the catalyst that turned a struggling mid-table side into worthy champions and for that (and the above, of course) he deserves our thanks!

It''s a few seasons since I attended regularly, but I always remember us kicking off a lot of games defending the Barclay End where I was sat (correct me if I''m wrong) as opposed to how it seems to be now. However, in the First Division wilderness years we always seemed to take the lead in the first half and then throw it away in the second, so I guess still most of the goals would have been at River End.

I''d go for the "losing your judgement" option. Ashton rather than Kezman at a push. But Leon? I''m just not seeing it to be honest - unless you''re talking about their credentials for championship football next season. And although Drogba may be going through a rough patch, he''s still a world class player. Fair topic based on last night''s performances though!

Vote: Message board player of the season

These always tend to pan out as bi-annual things as far as fans are concerned, so - based 60% on this season and 40% on last season - I''d have to go for Darren Huckerby. For his tireless commitment and ability to be central to the team''s performance wherever he''s forced to play on the pitch. 1. Hucks 2. Greeno 3. Leon 4. Damo 5. Deano (only had half a season to be fair!) -
Message to the best fans from probably the worst
Ark replied to Peter's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Sounds to me like maybe football isn''t really your cup of tea win, lose or draw! No offence though - I know plenty of people who can''t stand the sport... -
Bit bored of all the topics on this point (eg. the 3 or 4 posts about fans leaving early on Wednesday etc. etc.), so I thought I''d attempt to bring it all to an head once and for all with a single thread for all fans to post their claims about why they are a better supporter than a particular person, group of people, inanimate object etc.... So... As a non-season ticket holder I''m a better fan than all those that hold season tickets but rarely go to games, leaving an empty seat in the stadium... Over to you!
-
And there was me thinking you were a deadringer for Thomas Helveg!
-
No pics of the back - i''d guess there''ll probably be a lot more green on the shoulders than it looks. Can''t stand collars, but not sure on this funny neck thing either! Still... a hell of a lot better than the crap we were getting 4 or 5 years back.
-
I''m probably comparing it to the Man City game more than anything. Even at two goals up, the team seemed to have some kind of intangible resignation that they would lose it somehow. Last night, despite a last-ditch sucker-punch from Kluivert, they still dug deep and kept playing until the last kick of the game. A lot of teams - even in our desperate position - might have (at least subconsiously) settled for the draw.
-
I know, but I think the Malky thing has been covered on here a lot. He really wouldn''t have fared any better than Fleming this season... other than that you''ve just named our current defence! There''s an arguement for Charlton etc. etc... ad infinitum... My post was meant to be a positive one about how great the attitude of the team was yesterday!
-
Hmm.... I''d go for: Dixon Keown Adams Winterburn ... in their heyday of course
-
I agree with the Francis statement, he has really dropped off the radar since Ashton started playing well. Or is it that he was never that great anyway, just great within an average side. Now Helve...
I have no doubt that Charlton should be in the side, but the Doc... perleeaaase! No pace, poor positioning, can''t mark, can''t pass, can''t clear, can barely stand on his own two feet... I''d rank Flem above him in the pecking order any day of the week!
-
I''m sure this has been covered somewhere, but I thought that the character shown to come back from the bitter blow of Kluivert''s last-minute equaliser was incredible. It''s what''s been missing virtually all season, and for the first time since August I really feel like the team have a chance of beating the drop. Also on a positive note. For once all of this season''s new signings performed. Let''s just hope it''s not all come together too late in the day!
-
One thing''s for sure though. Palace looked dreadful in their game. Looked like Blackburn could have had 3 or more on the night.... Like they did against us.
-
Those leaving early missed another great finish.

Enough of the "I''m a better supporter than you" topics already!
