1. I remember when Farke first arrived I mused whether Tettey would fit in our system and he seemed to be struggling at first but wow what a transformation, model professional, outstanding footballer for us.
2. Highlights are up https://www.skysports.com/football/norwich-vs-millwall/392741
3. Can't win 4-0 every week, got to make it entertaining 😉
4. That was one hell of a roller coaster, why we love football, well done lads!
5. From delight to nightmare, criminal defending, gifted goals, Millwall are a poor side and we've gifted them three points on a silver platter.
6. Straight from the kick off, jesus wept...
7. lol Just seen Birmingham have gone form 2-0 to 2-2 and Brentford from 0-1 to 3-1, not the only ones having a difficult day at the office
8. I repeat for what I feel is the nth time, we are are own greatest enemies in this league.
9. You would have thought the benefit of having a German manager/team would be an ability to score penalties...
10. I agree and we really should be level to be honest after Klose's free header, it's good to see us able to break Millwall down though, something we struggled last season. Millwall look very much like a bottom half team, nothing for us to fear here but ourselves.
11. Very poor goal to concede, Millwall now looking to sit on this lead and sh*thouse the 3 points, but we're playing some really nice football creating good chances, just the goals missing now...
12. King Canary Then why hasn''t he reproduced such talents at any other football club? The guy has flopped at everything since leaving us.
13. Back in 09 to 12 we had a great squad that was absolutely flying, Lambert, Culverhouse and Karsa were merely ingredients in that special time and since leaving us we''ve seen that it is not a recipe that easy to repeat. You can never say for certain how a new manager is going to get on but I believe he was simply the right man in the right place with the right players at the time, and I think we owe more to the squad talents and unity for our success than the manager.
14.
Presumably as its a private investment, we''ll never know who invested, but it certainly looks as though some sizeable investments have been made by individuals, given ''only'' 735 individuals have invested.
It is unlikely we''ll ever know, I''ve speculated given the way the bond was worded, the minimum amount set was actually £2m so I think the board probably had that amount or close to it between themselves, then I figure given most fans will invest the minimum or a bit above that so £1m comes from us and the remaining £2m is made up of corporate investment.
15.
The average investment is £6802, which suggests most of the investors aren''t your average punter, or it''s being heavily skewed by some huge investors.
There are several big corporate investors involve plus the board''s chunk, the average fan is putting in about £1000-2000 at most not £6000-7000I would say 3.5 - 4 million of the investment is the board/corporates with the remaining amount made up by the fans.
16.
However, Ginja you said that the notion that the board are not prepared to invest their own money has been dispelled and I queried how when this bond scheme has been implemented precisely because the owners/board were unwilling/unable to fund the academy improvements themselves.
The board are investing in the academy bond scheme.. I''m not sure how else I can spell it out that the board actively investing in a bond for the club''s acedemy and training ground dispells the idea that they are unwilling to invest... having the bond scheme simply allows us to reach beyond the pockets of the board and seek outside investment, which I thought is what everyone is clammering on here for anyway?
17.
@Ginja You''ve kind of ignored his question there. I''m with Jim in that I don''t see how this bond dispels the idea that the board aren''t willing to invest their own money.
They''ve dispelled the myth that they won''t invest by... well.. investing... I''m not really sure how else to spell it out...but as I suspect, the real issue here is that you don''t understand what the word "invest" means and I''ll give you a clue, it does not mean give up all of your money and expect nothing in return.
