Should we have sold Malkay?
If I had the wings of a sparrow replied to Canary Boy's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Malky was my god & his organisation & spirit are sorely missed. Make a defensive mistake & you would always so Malky chest out pointing out not to do it again. If he went up for corners if he didn''t make the header he would leave his mark on the goalkeeper or his marker. I beleive we have conceded most goals this season not through pace but by lack of organisation. I feel we sold the heartbeat of the club the day Malky left & he will never play for WHU like he did for us because his heart would have been left behind. -
Drury and Holt out for weekend?
If I had the wings of a sparrow replied to Morph's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Whats all the fuss about we are not playing this weekend & the extra couple of days mean we will have a fully fit squad to pick from. -
Generally I post cause I like to see the funny side of peoples comments & maybe bring some jovialty to the subject particulrly when it is getting heavier than a heavy thing on National Heavy Day. The bottom line is we are all Norwich fans in this together (I hope) but recently there has been an upsurge in direct attacks on posters. We all have posters who we like & some posters we disagree with & I particaurly like the comments of No legs, Zippers Left Leg & Stevange fan & they often post along the same lines as me. So come on why do you post? to trade insults, to see if you get a reply or cause you are down right bored or maybe you feel you are just making a contribution.

I never change my opinion, well I do sometimes actually come to think of it I do all the time. Can you discard these comments whilst I make up my mind.Oh & DDIM I feel that with your knowledge I am being stalked thats a first.Come on lighten up you miserable old lot. We will win soon & well all be mates again.

Question......
If I had the wings of a sparrow replied to Saint Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
If you go in a shop & tell the sales assistant you have £50 to spend they will try & sell you something for £60. If we tell other clubs we have £2m to spend they will try & get £2.5m. All the board are doing are keeping their cards close to their chest & that''s the correct way to conduct business. -
Of course the Club wants to go back down the Board & management have done nothing to keep us up. They decided that this season would just be 1 long holiday & they will go back to work in August next year. We can all see that no effort is being made in Stand rebuilding, squad rebuilding, no new coaches coming in & a general lack of effort by everyone. Even the supporters have stopped singing & the club is no longer together. Anyway I''m off on my holidays & I will see everyone next August when hopefully we start trying to win again. Thank god it was only a dream.

need for DEFENDERS
If I had the wings of a sparrow replied to norwichtillidie's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
We need to protect our defence better & most of the problems are coming through midfield. -
Fickle-fan-ometer
If I had the wings of a sparrow replied to Ayrton Twigge's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Ayrton you realise that you will now be lambasted for your comments & accused of not being able to bring debate to this forum. I think we should have a forum for positve fans & 1 for the old misery guts. I''m as gutted as anyone that we have not won yet but I am thrilled with what the club is trying to acheive & the football we are playing. -
Foul the opposition
If I had the wings of a sparrow posted a topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
In a number of games this season we have conceded goals when we had the opportunity to foul the opposition. The 1st goal against Everton was conceded when Bent should have been put on his backside at the start of his run before he slipped the ball inside, the 3rd goal Svensson was trying to foul but was to weak to knock Graveson over. Whenever a Norwich player goes on a run we are either fouled in a less dangerous area or shirt being pulled to slow the run down. Norwich have never been a dirty team & I don''t endorse fouling but we must learn quickly that to win games in this league you sometimes have to break the play up & slow the game down when under pressure the way all Premiership teams do this is by fouling. -
Dry your eyes
If I had the wings of a sparrow replied to bananaman's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Of course you are right on this, I honestly beleive from a pure footballing point of view we have played better football than I could have dreamt about. At times we are naive due to lack of Premiership experience, at times our finishing has been bad. The bottom line is the finishing against us has been more ruthless than ours & when you look at the other teams substitute bench they have lots of attacking options compared to us. We are learning & will continue to learn & as frustrating as it is there is nothing else the Football Club can currently do other than to keep doing what they are doing. -
What a very nice man Gary Holt is!
If I had the wings of a sparrow replied to XXL16's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I can only endorse your comments when I went to the training ground a few weeks backs my young son asked ''''Gary Holt why are you slow'''', he found this highly amusing & said it was because he was old. I found the players courteous, kind & considerate & that goes for all of them, real professionals. David Bentley was also presented with a Birthday card by an adoring young girl, within a couple of minutes he had gone into the changing room & produced a pair of signed football boots for that little girl it completely made her day. -
Close, but no cigar

Great example

I was always a Malky man but Simon Charlton has been different class. -
The never played XI
If I had the wings of a sparrow replied to Dan Roper's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Freddy H I think Dan meant a different Paul Wilson but you are right there was a Paul Wilson who played for Norwich son of Tug Wilson Paul went on to be a top coach in Norway & I beleive is still out there. -
tonight's reserve game
If I had the wings of a sparrow replied to gazzathegreat's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I must admit Gazza Palace were streets ahead & I thought we looked to have a reasonably strong team out tonight. I was more dissapointed with the senior players who apart from Mulryne didn''t seem to want to be there. Our younger players were just out muscled but stuck to the task well. -
Yet again on Saturday the Norwich fans were outstanding with 25 minutes left WBA had a 5 minutes spell were they started to win all the important balls in the middle of the park. This lead to the Norwich fans becoming even louder & driving the team on & for the last 15 minutes WBA were hanging on & looked releived when the final whistle went. Norwich & proud.

Is a more clinical striker & another midfielder, our approach play for most of this season has been excellent but the final ball & finishing has been poor. In most games we have passed teams off the park until we get to the final third of the pitch when we appear to either put in poor crosses/passes or panic when presented gilt edged opportunities. Overall I have come away from games feeling really proud of the boys who have given their all and as long as they continue to do that we really can''t complain.
