there is no Threat I just think they are about 10 years of good Academy growth away from playing a decent level

you cant go from playing Park football to a profesional game in a couple of years it takes time

on the other hand more than happy to watch womans sports where we do compete at a world class level

but sadly the BBC has made the decision to not cover them like football

now if you want to put a negative hate filled spin on everything you read I do pity how your mind works

When it comes to SW he should've known better than to say such things on an official interview while being a representative for the club.

It is barely relevant to compare women's football with men's football, whether it's true or not that there is a gulf in quality is beside the point (considering the ****show of the NCFC senior men's team last season, maybe the women would do better with the same resources...). It's very true that women's football lags men's, only natural considering that for decades they were not allowed to play. What they need is encouragement and constructive criticism, same as you'd give to the under-15 boys (hell, any ages and any players m/f tbh) who do their best to represent the club well. But no one is obliged to do that. *Speaking of which, well done Adam Idah for scoring his 1st international goal after a really difficult season with lots of criticism, sometimes unfair, sometimes noxious,  aimed at him.*

Now there will always be fans who feel they need to, for G-d knows what reason, voice their disapproval of a women's team they don't follow. They can comment on the "divorcees in the snake pit" if they so choose. But the Sporting Director is not such a person, he is constrained by his role. IMO those comments reflect far more on themselves than on women's football.

Freedom of speech, but sometimes silence is golden. Me personally if I can't find anything encouraging to say, or if I don't follow their football, prefer to stay in my lane.

Tl;Dr- no time or space for hate in my mind. Better to focus on the things I enjoy.

The fans may have stood up for themselves but the club didn’t.

    He resigned and wasn’t sacked.

Maybe he jumped before being pushed. Don't think the board was too happy with how he conducted the recent interviews. Obviously Leeds was a factor in Stew resigning but I think the writing was on the wall to some extent since he replaced Farke for Dean Smith.

Duffy seems to spend a lot of time being sidelined through injury. I hope that we do not acquire another aging crock.

I bloody hope not... His move to Fulham was made permanent earlier this year, only to be loaned out again now is dodgy to say the least. What Fulham fans saying about him?

He knows that Leicester now need to sell Maddison. He's literally their only high value asset. They've managed contracts soo poorly that now many of the squad can walk away for free and the rest don't even have relegation clauses.

Is Tielemans out of contract soon? Not that he could command higher fees than Maddison but there won't be a shortage of clubs willing to sign him.

If his team's performance on the field this season isn't going to get him sacked, his views on women's football and other controversial elements of these interviews aren't going to get him sacked either.

His comments reflect badly on the club - he's  part of the PR machinery. I know his main role is to direct all aspects of football at NCFC but a "family friendly" club can't be doing with comments from a bloke who talks as if he is half-tanked at the local boozer and spoiling for a scrap.

Someone from the board (not the missus) needs to give him a telling off.

What Wagner needs to do is build a team around a good core.

    Goalkeeper. (Gunny)

    Quick centre half.

Viera type, big imposing central midfielder that can handle himself and pass.

    Goalscorer

    + LW

    +RW

    +LB

    +RB

LW- Only winger remotely capable in current squad is Onel, Wagner needs someone who can take the mantle from him

RB- Air'Rons likely to leave, Mumba has a chance to take the spot, need serious competition though

LB- Giann not up to scratch, McCallum inconsistent

RW- not Sargent FFS, Tzolis has shown little so far, Nunez is more of an 8 or 10.. (then who??)

Er, ok. I’m not sure you’ve read what I said. I just don’t go in for this footballers-on-pedestals thing, never have done and never will. He’s done pretty well for us, and we’ve done pretty well for him - it goes but he ways. I’ll cheer him off and wish him well.

You do you, Pickle, you do you. I'm not really the fawning type either, pedestals are for statues.

Having said that, I'll sooner fawn over humble Pukki than over some diva like CR7..

I’ll clap him off along with everyone else, but the fawning is a bit over the top.

Are you comparing Teemu with everyone else in that squad? Were we wrong to fawn over Emi?Nurse!

I'll never tell loyal NCFC supporters - the ones who actually go to home and away games - how they should express themselves towards the club / players, within reason of course - abuse is not ok. They are entitled to boo, shout, whistle, sarcastically applaud, and by the same token, cheer and fawn as they see fit.

You saying "the fawning is over the top" says a lot more about you than it does about them.

Shame, as he's clearly highly rated in the game if a club like Chelsea are in for him. We'll get some compensation though, unless we're happy to gamble on agreeing a free transfer with significant add-ons, as Fabrizio suggests.

I'm sure we'll get the next BillyG on loan.. but we could do with a player like Broja. Chelsea's triger happy  + scattergun player recruitment style always leads to loans.

Would you mind a Drinkwater at City?

The daddy of them all? Alex Higgins of course. Without him snooker would still be being played in front of a few hundred for a few grand maximum.

For me it was Jimmy White. Same generation, flair, and bit less aggro than Alex Higgins. After watching that match against Kirk Stevens (where he made a maximum)1st time, I went straight to sportsdirect, bought a Jimmy White cue and practised (I mean, failed, embarrassingly, but tried hard for months lol, I was like, HOW??) his most ridiculous shots until the tip was completely destroyed. Good times.

I remember Luca breaking through when he was about 16 (I kept betting and losing when I bet against him) so I've known about him for a while... especially since he lost me a ****load of money. 😛

It would be great for Snooker to have a new world champion. If he does, he's equal with Trump. Just shows how much Trump has underachieved that he's only won 1.

Regardless, Stephen Hendry will always be the best ever. Even if O'Sullivan wins an eighth. Hendry won 7 in 9 years, including 5 in a row. That sort of dominance sets him apart.

As much as I like O'Sullivan, it took him 21 years to achieve what Hendry achieved in 9. Plus Hendry didn't need a therapist and mind coach. 😉

That last sentence was completely unnecessary. Maybe if Hendry had the messy upbringing that Ronnie had, he'd have done well to win anything at all.
