But he'd have to have an early bath and be on the away coach before the end of each home game, wouldn't he?

Will we be able to pay for Normann?

With the credit going to that nice Mr Webber into the bargain, no doubt. -

Normann's contract with Rostov might be regarded as having been frustrated by supervening international events amounting to force majeure. Let's hope UEFA/FIFA get it right. Sure he'd be prepared to waive his 5% of the absent transfer fee if he was free and clear of Rostov. -

That means Norwich City are effectively subsidising the Russian Government, doesn't it, if they're paying his wages? Even worse as it turns out, than taking money from more than usually dodgy betting firms. Difficult situation for Normann to be in, poor chap. Would very much like him to stay, whatever our status at the end of the season. -
Not really a laughing matter. That shouts a lack of confidence, or some other deeper problem which these comments are not doing much to alleviate. Let him alone and leave Smudger to sort it out one way or another.

A stable full of show ponies

Agree wholeheartedly re Byram and Sorensen. Two of the (largely) untapped resources in the squad who should now, or shortly in Byram's case, be being thoroughly exploited.- 1 reply

Did we bring in a crocked player in Norman?
Jeremy Pymer replied to WD40's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
That's confirmation, if ever it was needed. Surprised that this was not picked up by the physios and conditioning people at NCFC. Maybe you ought to e mail them - seriously, since you have experience of this and I am only speculating. When you do that to your muscles, it must alter the structures of the muscle fibres or produce too densely packed fibres to have the kind of effects you describe. I also wonder whether there are elements of physical and psychological dependency in these people as well. Addiction to one's own endorphins plus a helping of either body dysmorphia or just old-fashioned narcissism? And it may not be down just to pumping iron, but also consumption of supplements. -

I had been thinking along the same lines, though in more general terms, that his musculature was too overdone for a footballer. Apart from normal training, how much iron-pumping must he be doing every day to keep himself ripped like that, and what effect does that have on his fitness in terms of susceptibility to injury? They used to call it being muscle-bound. It goes beyond what's needed to play football, even these days. The physios/sports scientists must surely be onto this, just as they are with diet and so on. At least, I hope so. Maybe there are physiological and blood measurements they can take which can indicate likely problems. -

After a long lurk... good old Greavsy - the real one scored the first professional goal I ever saw. This one has seems equally sharp. -

I disagree. I hardly expected anyone to agree with me, and indeed most will ignore my comments. I simply lamented the tone of the discussion, and would rather concentrate on the football, that's all. -

I guess I well might, but that doesn't mean we do the same, however mildly. It's only my opinion, just as you have yours. Would just rather talk and learn about football. I get over-excited by it, and enjoy it immensely, but am far from understanding it as well as most others on here. -

No pedestal, no lecture. Read the last line of my edited post.
