  1. Europe and South America have nothing on Neil Adams. The greatest DOF replacement and Manager replacement the world has ever seen and he's sitting under our very noses. Maybe he'll go full Niall Quinn and one day become Owner, DOF, Chairman & Manager. Best man for the job. Only man for the job.
  2. I know it's a long season (and this may very well come back to bite me in the backside come May) but it's pretty ominous already for the rest of the league when you look at the Top 4 after 7 games - the 3 who were relegated last season, and a team who were relegated the season before after spending a fortune in the Prem
  3. I would love this to happen. I have a suspicion though that he'll turn up, play 2 games and be completely anonymous, get injured, not play again all season and we're told "he wasn't bought for this season in mind", then we'll loan him out next season and never see him again... I don't know why, call me Mr Cynical perhaps. Maybe it's just the trauma of Tzolis and Sargent, and Webber's cracking record of signing sicknotes which is clouding my optimism? ๐Ÿค”
  4. Love this idea. I've got such a bee in my bonnet about throw-ins, I detest them so much. I mean, it was funny watching Arsenal lose 1-0 to a Rory Delap throw/Ryan Shawcross header EVERY YEAR... But nobody has a Rory Delap throw or a weak-a55 Wenger defence anymore so those days are gone. I'd be glad to see the end of the clueless-wait-30-seconds-before-foul-throwing throw-ins we have today
  5. I don't understand why you wouldn't want more specialist coaches at the training ground? I genuinely think this is a fantastic signing for the club. He has previously done some really good work with England (notwithstanding the standard of the opposition) and it's an area where we've been woefully lacking for a long time now. Another poster said it earlier (sorry, can't remember who you are, please forgive me) that he's also an attacking/finishing coach and works with the whole forward line. Which is another area where some players have been in dire need of specialist attention.
  6. Pleased I'm not the only one who's bugged by this! Throw-ins are a truly terrible part of the modern game. How many times do you see foul throws that aren't noticed by the Ref? Or the ball goes out of play and the taker runs 20-30 yards along the touchline before throwing and it's not noticed by the Ref? Or players off the ball not moving and standing around like lemons whilst the taker dithers and wastes sooo much time before throwing to the opposition? It's just a sh!t part of the game that no-one seems to understand how to execute correctly. Pleased that's off my chest, I'll sleep soundly tonight ๐Ÿ™‚
  7. Sutch for me. Even before reading what the OP had to say the first face that popped into my head was Daryl Sutch... That might be though because I still wake up screaming every night, dreaming about that penalty miss. Mediocrity encapsulated. He's a perfect metaphor for our lovely club ๐Ÿ’› ๐Ÿ’š
  8. To be fair that was coined by Danny Murphy on MOTD pre-pandemic when we did actually look full of life and potential... I think that tag was very quickly removed after Project Restart
  9. A few comments from an interview Webber gave to the Pinkun on Oct 28: โ€œThe facts are we have been very ambitious, compared to our competitors, and at the minute we are under-achieving,โ€ said Webber "Two years ago we were miles off, we were not good enough. And I know people can look at the performances at the minute and go, โ€˜Well, it does not look much difference,โ€™ and I probably sound like an idiot. But this time around the approach we took in the transfer market was very different. We have got a squad together full of internationals." โ€œIf people want to say that I do not think it is harsh, but I definitely think it's too early,โ€ said Cityโ€™s sporting director. โ€œAll three of them have come from foreign countries. One of them is 19. Another one is 21. These are young players. Normally we have our 19 year olds on loan in League One or lower. "To expect Christos to be playing every week in the Premier League, he was not bought for that. He has incredible potential, and potential needs time to nurture itself. Can he come through and make a big impact this season? Yes, but that is not an expectation on him and the price tag on him is not his fault. That should not bring any more pressure on him." Well, which was it SW? Were we ambitious this year or were we not?
  10. Don't you mean 90 per cent? That's how we operate
  11. We know his ambition fits in with Delia's model... "Norwich will never win the league but they still turn up every week... the pr*cks"
  12. And therein lies the question that people are terrified to ask for fear of a social media backlash by the millennial mob, but in reality is actually bang on even if people are too self-righteous to believe it A little off topic but it's like the story that hit the news last week about an author who branded Primark as sexist for stocking girls T-Shirts emblazoned with "Be Kind" and boys T-Shirts for saying "Be limitless" or something along those lines. She said something like 'why is it in this day and age that girls are told be sweet and kind whereas boys are encouraged to reach for the stars?'... I mean come on, get a grip! if you're limiting the potential of your child due to a slogan on a cheap t-shirt that you're not even going to buy them anyway then that says more about you as parent than anything else. If society was bound by t-shirt slogans then everyone who wore a French Connection top would just be walking around banging each other whilst the rest of us all look on from the background all jealous and crying. Anyway, where were we? Oh yeah, Zouma... What an ar5ehole!
  13. https://chng.it/Nxqcv4YtZb Don't know if I'm allowed to share this here but I'm doing it anyway ๐Ÿ˜Ž There's a petition to prosecute him and get his pets removed into a more loving and caring environment. Happy signing pet lovers!
  14. What the hell is wrong with these idiots? I know footballer behaviour and culture has always been pretty sickening because they're 'lads' who have too much time and money and think they can do whatever they want, but it just seems that they're more moronic, and disgusting, and vile than ever before. Maybe it's social media finally coming into it's best by shining a light on the behaviour of tw@ts like Greenwood and Zouma. Scary thing is how long has this sort of stuff been going on for, and what else is next that's going to come out?
  15. I wondered why I started getting a nosebleed at 5pm last Saturday
